It does show which chapter youre on?
You don't see lists like this when you don't have an account, so I didn't know. Judging from this image though, myanimelist seems better.
Edit: Just made an account. There aren't even total stats like how many chapters and volumes you read. I'll stick with myanimelist.
MAL does not notify you about new releases though.

Stats, huh... stats are all the rage nowadays. Hmph!
MU updates you whenever a new chapter is translated for something, complete with a link to the group that released the chapter (so you don't have to go to some aggregate site that compresses the images a million times and uses the worse of multiple versions, or wait until it's uploaded to araspichello shambobly).
Also, MAL is silly and full of peanuts and pineapples.

There are smartphone/tablet apps for that. Naming them would probably be against the rules though.
For some reason MAL keeps corrupting my cookies every couple of days (on multiple computers/browsers). I keep having to relogin.. nowadays I only update it when an anime starts/ends.
Oh! I remember someone here saying he was using Excel sheets. Hmm.

My iPad app notifies me too whenever something is scanlated and I hate reading on the PC, so that point is also not important for me. I use MAL only for the list though and don't click on anywhere else. I'm just a sucker for stats. I have a site for a listing of TV Shows and Blu-rays as well.

Dunno how else to say it, MAL is just weird. If it makes more sense to you I could say it's politically inclined to drive motorcycles without belts or iron knuckles but you know.
Does it... include links? To certain not-neat sites?
I mean I'm not telling you to download each chapter or anything, but please don't say you're reading all those compressed watermarked oxidized, sneaky websites.

I don't think Wednesday MANGAF has been all that bad recently compared to a few weeks ago. Mostly because of the Naruto chapter imo.
Anyways favorite ongoing mangas as of now.

Right now One piece is out until Oda gets back into his groove and HXH is not ongoing at the moment.

I think that was from that time they had all those gore posts come up in their forums in the winter or so? I keep having the same issue.
I like mangaupdates for at least having doujins, and letting me know what is new and when chapters are added and at least what is actually being published by a publisher in the US or what not.
MAL at least looks nicer, and I can tag all my series and such, and can easily add series to the database. Ultimately, I just use both.

I'm going to miss a few of them I think. I'm going to be traveling in Italy in about a week or so for a week then a week in Kurita-land.

The original anime had Mustang vs King Bradly, you cannot deny how awesome that was in comparison to Brotherhood where it was Greed vs Bradly.

I'm sorry what? No, you are wrong. Brotherhood gave us the massively superior Mustang vs Envy. Also Greedling vs Bradley was awesome. Shit Bradley himself was WAY more awesome in Brotherhood. He was a lot more menacing, whenever he showed up you knew shit was about to go south.
We can just agree that Brotherhood > Original in all ways and forms.
Except for some of the emotional scenes, read deaths because Brotherhood was rushed at the beginning.
Manga > Brotherhood > First FMA Anime
Well obviously Manga > Brotherhood > First FMA Anime. That goes without saying.
