Aren't you guys watching Treehouse!? This looks fun as hell.
It's too bad the stream shopped showing this game. There was a brief window of people actually taking an honest look at the thing and saying it looked pretty fun, now we're just back to the drive-bys.
Hopefully Nintendo uploads bits of their stream before too long.
Yes, and it still looks shallow as hell compared to the hundreds of other coop games there are out there.
It's not Monster Hunter meets Metroid, it's not Warframe/Destiny meets Metroid, it's a cheap as hell cash in on the Metroid name.

This is the equivalent of publishers digging up some beloved IP from the past just to make some f2p mobile game that has nothing to do with the franchise. ,,Could be fun'' doesn't cut it. Especially since it really doesn't look fun. The Blaster Ball section of the NWC looked like some random, low-tier indie title.
it actually looks pretty fun based on that video posted, but ok.

Come on, were you even around for half of those games being announced? The response to ALBW was the exact opposite of that from most people.
Plenty of people did. There was a vast number of optimistic people, but there was definitely a large number of skeptics for every last single Zelda iterations, questioning everything from art direction to combat to control to multiplayer to platform.oh shut the fuck up
nobody ever said that shit

Slow movement.
Lock-on on a FPS.
So Metroid Prime?
Next Level
and people are mad
give it a fucking chance guys
Er, yes, yes I was around. I've been gaming since the Atari days.
Plenty of people did. There was a vast number of optimistic people, but there was definitely a large number of skeptics for every last single Zelda iterations, questioning everything from art direction to combat to control to multiplayer to platform.

Metroid fans, welcome to the Zelda cycle.
"Zelda 2 isn't like Zelda 1? It'll never work!"
"Link's Awakening is a black & white Gameboy game? It'll never work!"
"Ocarina of Time is jumping to 3D? But Zelda is a top-down perspective game! Won't work!"
"Majora's Mask has a time limit? That won't work!"
"Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons have a convoluted password system? That's so stupid."
"Wind Waker's art style is for babies! Death of the series!"
"Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks only use the stylus? That'll never work!"
"Multiplayer Zelda? Four Swords will be a disaster!"
"Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword use motion controls? That'll never work!"
"A Link Between Worlds is just retreading the old game and is non-linear? Bad decision!"
"Hyrule Warriors? What's this Dynasty Warriors knock-off. Horrible!"
Is this the Metroid game I wanted? No.
... But I'm going to give it a try and I may end up LOVING it.
Metroid Prime without the awesome level design, OST and ambientation, you know the things people loved about the game, not because it was a subpar fps.
Where was this community of people that ravaged the previews of Zelda II? Where were they, exactly?
Where was the community of gamers that were disgusted with the previews of Link's Awakening because it was in monochrome?
As I said before, citation needed.
Lol at expecting Destiny meets Metroid for the 3DS.Yes, and it still looks shallow as hell compared to the hundreds of other coop games there are out there.

Looks like a first person monster hunter in space. Yeah the designs are bland, but it's interesting.
Internet didn't really exist then brah.
Lol at expecting Destiny meets Metroid for the 3DS.
Game looks fun. It's doomed to get hated on sadly. Nintendo needs to announce Metroid Prime NX before this comes out in order to calm people down.

I really like Next Level Games, but I hope this isn't the only thing they've been working on since Luigi's Mansion.

They've never really done more than one project at a time. These are games they made;
Super Mario Strikers - GCN - 2005
Mario Strikers: Charged - Wii - 2007
Punch-Out!! - Wii - 2009
Luigi's Mansion 2 - 3DS - 2013 (!)
This Wierd Thing - 3DS - 2016
Note that until LM2, they only needed 2 years to pump out great games, but needed more time for Dark Moon, and it showed. Before Dark Moon, they were thinking about making a new 2.5D Metroid game for 3DS, but Nintendo made them cancel it in favor of Dark Moon. Instead of going back to doing that, which bad Samus design or not, fans would have loved it, they go on and make this.
NHL Hitz Pro – GCN, Xbox, PS2
Super Mario Strikers – GCN
Mario Strikers Charged – Wii
Super Mario Spikers – Wii [Cancelled]
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe – Wii, X360, PS2
[various demos for PS3/Xbox 360]
Ticket to Ride – XBLA
Jungle Speed – WiiWare
Punch-Out!! – Wii
Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! – WiiWare
Transformers: Cybertron Adventures – Wii
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (2010) – Wii
Captain America: Super Soldier – X360, PS3
Clockwerk – Wii, X360, PS3 [Cancelled]
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon – 3DS
Metroid Prime: Federation Force – 3DS
