Not gonna matter with the way Niese is pitching.Mets are hitting the cover off the ball.
U been to Citi?Went to the Yankees game today. Really disappointed at how the ballpark got empty after that 7-run inning by the O's!
Really liked the ballpark though, was in the nosebleeds and I thought it looked perfectly. Had a great time seeing the Yankees fail.
Worried about a 14 game lead? I can't blame you as a Braves fan since they pretty much always lie down when it matters.Mets are fucking worthless. Hope your asses get crushed into oblivion at The Ted next week.

Don't worry, guys. When the Braves lose in the first round of the playoffs, we'll be waiting for you in the offseason thread.
Wait did a Mets fan just say this
Yeah, Braves are better than the Mets at everything, even collapsing. No way should a Mets fan be shit talking a Braves fan.

Did you forget that 2011 happened?Did you forget that 2007 happened?
This was discussed ad nausem when it happened for months. Votes were cast. The people have spoken. Go back and check the old thread.
For the record, I don't think the Braves are pissing away a 14 game lead with 26 games left.
But I'd rather not see the Nationals squeak in to the Wild Card game.
Game 162 of 2011 has to be one of baseball's greatest days.
I think most people agree. The only thing that could have made it more exciting would have been the Cardinals coming back from a huge deficit instead of just stomping Houston.

I remember screaming wen Longoria homered against the yanks. Really was a great day, great thread tooEasily. I remember that night very clearly. I had three games going on at once. It was baseball heaven.

It's not like that was the norm in the single WC era. Sept/Oct 2011 was a perfect storm of so many factors that fell into place. The odds of something similar happening again in any format are slim no matter what but at least the current setup guarantees an elimination game in each league every season. And then Bud Selig has to screw it up with the 2nd WC. I will never like the 2nd WC.

Dice-K on the Mets? When did that happen?
I honestly didn't realize he was out of Boston. Anyway 2 runs already, great signing by the Mets.August 20, 2013: Released by the Cleveland Indians
August 22, 2013: Signed as a free agent with the New York Mets
