Why not? If they did, they'd have a huge advantage in securing third party support from major publishers.

How does Sony also doing it makes it any better especially for us consumers? And who is to say that they won't get backlash from here if they also do it?

As for the internet check, there are other people with internet issues and it is not just your limited view. :/
 
I'm actually believing that these guys have several exclusive juggernauts now, i mean they have tonnes of money to throw around and entice publishers, sony does not.
 
Makes sense that MS is targeting the Spanish gaming community with these statements.

A quick look at the European market will show that Spain has been a solid PS bastion for years.
 
I have one of those refillable popcorn buckets from the local theater. I'm heading over there the day of E3 and just be like "Oh I'm definitely going to watch After Earth just not the one starring Will Smith. I'm watching the one starring MS, Sony, and Nintendo with GAF commentary. Now if you would please Sir or Madam refill this popcorn bucket to the brim, and layer the butter, I'll bid you a wonderful day." I'm going to head directly home, sit on my couch and stream whatever live E3 feed I can to my TV and lurk GAF at the same time.

just because MS have tons of money, doesn't mean the Xbox team does. They still need to have any investment approved.

Having said that, they have shown themselves willing to spend heavily early on in product launches - both 360 and Kinect as examples.

Doubt that, MS have never been this brazen about their e3 showcase, they're going on record to multiple times to say "just watch ;)"

You don't think Sony will have at least 15 exclusives or more? All of Sony's studios are working on new PS4 games. That's a lot of PS4 exclusives, much more than MS's 15.
 
If Microsoft are truly throwing around 1 BILLION dollars towards exclusives then I think it's possible.

I hate speculating on this crap though until E3 actually comes, it brings out the fanboy in both sides.

The only potential game exclusive that has the ability to hurt SONY would be Grand Theft Auto.. and Half Life 3

Nope, I don't get the big deal. For me, the ability to play used games is the only really important thing, and they've already said you can play used games on the system one way or another. I'll at least reserve judgment on the console until we know all the details.

Microsoft are surely alone in their bubble, thinking they can top a company that actually listens to their customers.

If MS wasn't so busy "revolutionizing" the gaming sphere into social media and actually focused on making gamers happy, I'd look forward to seeing whatever they'd have in store. Since that's never gonna happen with the direction they're taking at the moment, I look forward seeing the inevitable fall.

Well, Microsoft already dashed our hopes for Alan Wake 2, so at the present moment, I can only think of 2 games that would make me shit a chicken.

Crackdown 3, or Maximo 3.

Launch line up, you mean? I personnally don't buy consoles at launch (except for the first PS), and I'm against the always on-line and the mandatory kinect crap. So, no, that would not be enough to change my stance, especially if they go with the used games approach they hinted at...

If MS' lineup does that (I think it will), then those who simply aren't interested in Xbone will fall back on the used games always online argument.

If those hopes are dashed, then they'll fall back on "lol TV box".

Once they realise that's a silly argument given the previous 2 advantages they'll say they don't like how big the console is.

Still got the PS3 to keep me plenty of company. Besides, i have only played Ni NoKuni and will be playing TLOU soon so there's a bunch of other PS3 exclusives i haven't even gotten around to this year.
 
I dont really get this assumption that MS has much more money than Sony. I mean it certainly didnt make the 360 leak exclusives.

I own all current gen consoles. But anyway my comment wasnt based on this position alone, its just that MS has managed to turn me off so many times lately with their decisions that I am simply not even interested in supporting them. There are no positives at all for me. There is still time to change that though. Who knows...

What makes you think MS' line up will be better? At the moment we can only base our opinion on their output over the last gen. Do you honestly think MS' output of games over the past gen has been better than Sony's?

Same here. I think they'll tease more as well as reveal some big 3rd party exclusives.
 
There's not a day that goes by without a negative article affecting Microsoft. They are bringing it to themselves with this kind of statements.

I think people on here need to realise there both in it for the money. The ideas MS have shown is pure bullshit , we all know and have commented and reacted accordingly. But to say Sony aren't gonna do the same is a joke, I am buying both day one. They ll offer different things .

Lets wait for E3 because The Sony love fest will make people realise we're gonna have restrictions on games this gen whether we like it or not. And they ll be alot of ' PC all the way this gen' like posts. Sonys PR and spin has been excellent and they ve shown what gamers want. MS as we know have been a suicidal disaster from the first minute of that awful console reveal. But lets wait until after E3 MS can only improve from the off , Sony hopefully will react properly, if not both consoles will be tough to justify purchasing anytime soon.

You mean if MS 1st party blows Sony 1st party out of the water? I don't think that is very likely to happen. Why would they even bother to show COD dogs if they had a bunch of shit that made Remedys game look like it was nothing?

I do yea. I prefer Gears to UC, Halo to Killzone. Lost Odysesy and Blue Dragon were great RPGS. Not everyone thinks Sony are great at making games dude.

They have said that nearly every e3 the past few years and they have disappointed. As for the exclusives im being realistic, how many of those will be kinect shit and small arcade style titles? we dont know, just as people saying we dont know this and that about the machines drm etc and yet counter with the 15 exclusives yet dont follow their own advice.
