You can tell it’ll be a political game just by the shaving head scene.

It’s the writers way of saying “I don’t want to be girly. I want to be act like a guy or symbolize I’m lesbian”

We won’t hear a lot about this until ND drip feds info but nobody should be surprised if it turns out as lesbians in space.
I doubt she'll be a lesbian. Probably asexual. Or pan non-binary.

And the AI site took what? 30 seconds to make each pic? Looks 10x better.
Yeah, a couple minutes of prompt engineering total. Nothing over the top, just feminine features and styling paired with the retro-future ‘80s aesthetic and Cowboy Bebop influence they claim to be going for. Guaranteed to generate >$100m more revenue and avoid most of the backlash.

Feels a bit generic. Guardians of the Galaxy already nailed the future retro vibe.

Main character certainly checks those DEI boxes as well. Not quite African, not quite Asian, not quite European. Certain to please everybody and nobody all at once. 😂

Aside from sigouney weaver shaving her head in aliens3, the rest still had long hair. They also didn’t preach politics or he her they pronouns or have 50/50 chance of being lesbian or bisexual eithet. And grace jones always seemed to have really short hair being manly from the beginning with zero tits.
stop making shit up there aint no 50/50 chance someone be lesbian or bisexual, all of LGBTQ is less than 5% of the population. Where is politics being preached in this trailer? Ya'll are reaching.

Damn Gaf what the fuck happened to you man, yo ass used to be beautiful.

Are there a lot of lesbian females playing games i don’t know about? They seem to be the target demographic for AAA games now.
I ask myself this question every time I see games that target this group. In addition to lesbians, there are also trans women who are the demographic of the moment.

A woman as playable character. I'm sure people won't call it woke for that reason alone, right?
The only disappointing thing is that it's PS5 only.

As a Naughty Dog suck off since Uncharted 1, I have a few feelings about this.

#1 Why are these characters in their games so unattractive now. Why can’t they just make normal women.

#2 Really not sure how I feel about this title. The “Savage Stalight” game has been a rumor for a long time. So I’m definitely not really surprised by this route their going of making a space game, but Savage Starlight is such a better title than this.

#3 I’m cautiously optimistic about ND doing this setting. As soon as I started Starfield I immediately thought, I bet those ND space game rumors have some sort of truth to them because they could take this planet hopping formula to the next level. And I’m sure they will.

#4 I hope this is being written by someone in the studio other than Druckman. Hopefully he’s busy jerking it to the Last of Us world and presidential matters of running the studio. If this has the same tone as Lost Legacy where the characters are badass women but aren’t overly obnoxious with “They treat me like X because I’m a woman” or “I can do that because I’m a woman.”, it’ll be a pretty sick adventure.

#5 Already saw one person mention they hate the ads. I personally think they are fucking awesome, especially the Sony CD player. Hopefully we can pick our own music in the cockpit.

And finally, #6 I REALLY don’t know how I feel about that robot enemy. I just feel like EVERY game that has some sort of future tech has the same generic looking robots. They always add or subtract arms and legs to make them look a little different. But it’s just a trend I’ve noticed. It basically looks like the Helldivers robots. Idk, that was the least exciting part for me. Maybe there will be varying enemy types.

The biggest positive for me with ND games now are I KNOW I’m going to get waterfalls and their newest water tech, as they are the leaders in this graphical field.

I’ll try and stay positive. I’m kinda 60/40 on this one. Graphics are obviously unbelievable and if they give me a planet with a full blown space thunderstorm I will jerk it to their holy rain graphics which get better in every title they make.
That last paragraph,,.. they should have a Kleenex sponsor too

This woke agenda has to end somewhere.
Fine u made a point with Abby and last of us 2.
Now u need another shaved head man looking woman as a lead ?
I'm all up for women empowerment and stuff but this just feels forced agenda put down Ur throat.
These companies really need to research about their main demographic

I wonder what new tech these nerds cooked up, fuck we're not gonna see a single thing from this until June 2025 lol
No the game pans to the other wall there is no light source directly across from that wall watch from 1:27 to 1:37
I mean the light is not from an exterior source, its the picture itself, there is a light above the people sitting

It’s thinning out.

It’ll still be here no matter what but in games, movies, tv you’ll see it die down.

But what is unknown is how many productions are woke but are too late to change things.

Seriously though, why go out of your way spending millions to fight YouTubers and Steam reviews? It seems very high risk to me, but I guess they know better. Good luck, even NG are going to need it.

It depends on where you live/d.

This bald girl wouldn't even be allowed to be in public in Moscow for example.

In a place where Margot Robbie looks average, an androgynous lesbianesque smelly looking bald girl would freak everyone out.
Who cares about Moscow, dude? Russia is a primitive country, full of bigots, nationalists and people who hate people with different looks or thoughts.

No Silksong? = Delivering the pain.
Just not cool as a main character look tbh. I love the aesthetic and 80s vibe and I’m sure gameplay will be ace.

But man…the main character’s whole vibe is just really off putting. Angry bald muscle badgirl? Idk.

Was very underwhelmed seeing this live but grew on me a bit on rewatches. Trent and Atticus doing the music is pretty sick at the very least. The name still sucks though

Maybe add this on page 1;

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/12/arts/intergalactic-heretic-prophet-naughty-dog-druckmann.html
"The story is quite ambitious," centering on a fictitious religion and "what happens when you put your faith in different institutions," The story is set in an alternative universe where space travel has significantly advanced by 1986.

But he said it was a return to Naughty Dog's roots in the action-adventure genre that helped build the studio's reputation with franchises like Crash Bandicoot. It takes inspiration, he said, from classic anime like the 1988 movie "Akira" and the 1990s series "Cowboy Bebop
More than 250 Naughty Dog employees have worked on Intergalactic over the past four years, in addition to outside artists in Druckmann's network.

Developing new intellectual property can be nerve-racking because of the financial investment; Naughty Dog has had a series of layoffs over the past two years and underwent a restructuring that Druckmann said would ensure the company could operate as "an I.P. powerhouse."

"It is about striking a balance of business and art," he said. "It is not just jumping on any opportunity to increase our bottom line."
Druckmann said he was keenly aware that some gamers have eagerly awaited news about Intergalactic.

"It's really hard to work on these things in secret and silence for so many years," he said, "and then to see our fans go on social media and say, 'Enough with the remasters and remakes! Where are your new games and new I.P.s?'"

He added, "We are finally starting to lift the curtain on this thing."

Was curious what Naughty Dog had been up to all this time...and I just feel nothing from this.

Couldn't care less about the character design, it's just a bland teaser that does nothing to intrigue me on the game.

Some broken planet spiral, generic ass laser sword, Porsche branding, and I just come away wishing Guardians of the Galaxy never got popular.

The awards had numerous better looking games than this, hopefully they'll show something interesting next time.

Sad, isn't it.
