I still don't understand people say "Cleveland deserves it" or that you feel bad for Cleveland. What is an NBA championship going to do other than usher in one night of celebration and a 2 hour parade? It's just sports, it's not going to suddenly change the city into a utopia.

Nobody "deserves" anything when it comes to sports. The better team wins and the worse team loses and then we all move on to next year. It's fun and cheap entertainment, not something you should pin the hopes and dreams of an entire city on.

I think we need to expect an ugly series. Like when the Cavs won 2 games vs the warriors. Like that time the spurs beat the GSW this season. That slow pace will cover some of the Cavs flaws and would limit some of the GSW offensive cadence.

I'm ctually really curious to see how the minutes of Kyrie and Love are handled. Because I can't see the above happening with both of them in the game, but if they can do a balancing act of what worked in last year's finals and what's worked in these playoffs so far they might have a chance.

Not equal lineups, but an interesting precedent.

I get the impression that the Cavs are going to try and outshoot the Warriors. At least they'll try to at first.

I don't think that's the plan. Can you outshoot them 4 times in a 7 game series? The answer to that has been not. If you find them slow and plodding sure you could try that, but ideally you want to force them into set defense and offense.

I'm not surprised that you don't understand why someone would choose not to root for the Warriors.

They don't deserve it but I can understand why Cleveland fans are desperate. They haven't won a title in any major sports in our lifetimes.

Unfortunately, they'll have to wait at least another year. Warriors will repeat.

31 minutes for Delly and 26 for Kyrie. That's probably what they'll have to do the whole series.

Cleveland fans sound too entitled for my tastes.

but I'm also from the rich cash money Silicon Valley so my opinion means very little

entitled? LMAO they havent won a championship in over 52 years

ideally you want to force them into set defense

Defintely dont agree with that. Keeping them unbalanced on the defensive side is much needed. their Set Defense is really really good. They shut down the thunder offensively in half court sets. The Thunder were killing them when they played a higher tempo. Vs the Thunder in game 7 they played primarily zone offenses of 1-3-1 and 3-2/2-3 most of the game it killed thunder because guys like westbrook and durant liked to go in the middle get contact instead they met a ton of defenders and the thunders shooters were awful.

Wouldn't take this too serious. That was only Kyries second game and Blatt was the coach.

GSW coming back after being down 3-1 against OKC, who was almost certainly the strongest matchup they played in the regular season, bodes well for them against the CAVs.

Cleveland may be playing way better in the playoffs, but I doubt they were playing against GSW in any mode but full on for their regular season matchups. Momentum and such may give Cleveland a game but I don't expect them to do much better than that. The Christmas game would be the ideal playbook for the Cavs to win, but even in that scenario GSW having legitimate defense let them take that one.

It wasn't ideal at all, what are you talking about? Again those were Kyries first games back after a major layoff, the first time the big three all played together in months longer than that.

There really isnt much you can gain from those games at all.

Warriors drop game 2 and take it in 5.
God has shown a clear bias against Cleveland and goes out of His way to hurt them as much as possible.

I see the Cavs going up 3-0 and somehow finding a way to lose in 7. Lebron will end the game and retire from basketball and announce his intention to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Keep Lebron off my steelers.

Tyron Lue is undefeated against Steve Kerr in the Playoffs.

in 3 playoff games against each other, Lue is undefeated (this is only counting games where they both saw playing time).
They were Games 1, 3 and 4 of the Western Conference Finals in 2001 as the Lakers swept the Spurs. Lue clearly outplayed Kerr in these games, averaging 2.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 6.7 minutes, compared to Kerr's 0.0, 0.7, 0.3 and 0.3 in 8.3 minutes.
Only time will tell if the 15 year gap is enough to stop this freight train of momentum.

Cleveland in 4..

And Curry was partially hurt from a previous game.

Point is that the Cavs best chance is low/medium score game with heavy defense. Even under that scenario, GSW has the skillset to come out on top.

lol, Tyron Lu was such a scrub as a player w/ the Lakers, i remember my cousin telling me Tyron try to holla at one of his homegirls in a club one time and got shut down

My college roommate and I used to call Tyron Lu, rat boy back in the day. To this day, I still picture him with whiskers coming out the side of his nose.

Naw bruh I think that Cleveland fans don't really have shit to do besides being fanatics about sports. I mean they live in fucking Cleveland.

At least in Miami if our teams sucks we just say fuck it and sniff coke from a Colombian woman's breasts on the beach

By the way Cavs in 7 only because I've made peace with LeBron and I can objectively say now that he needs to win on for Cleveland

OK, I'll bite.

Your excuse for the Christmas game is well documented. What's your excuse for the January 18 blowout in Cleveland?

Cleveland always had good fans for the Browns and Indians. To their credit they still watch and show up no matter how bad the team is.

They never gave a fuck about the Cavs until Lebron got there.

I can attest to this. My Cleveland born friends are crazy about baseball and the Indians

As for me I've only ever been crazy as fuck about the Heat.

The Dolphins are a forever disappointment and I don't like baseball or hockey.

i just remember that one year how his job was to pretend to be AI lol

he sorta ....

Shaq even said a few week ago on TNT that only certain players were allowed to talk to him when he was with the Lakers, and Tyron was not one of them....LOL

Can this year's conference finals be a meteor series?

No?

Then I'll go Cavs in 7. Just because I'm tired of all the bandwagon GS fans I see all over my facebook.

What excuse? I've been saying the dame thing this whole time. Those GSW games were some of Kyries first games back like literally his second and like 10th game back. They had Blatt as coach and didnt have Frye, who is their hottest shooter right now. GS hasn't played this version of the Cavs.

GSW fans cried about Currys little three week break the whole WCF but try to maintain they got the best of Kyrie on his first few games after months of rehab. Shit is stupefying.

Hardwood Paroxysm: Why Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love struggle to contain pick-and-rolls

summary: Kyrie has bad positioning and bad defensive footwork, Love has bad defensive footwork and bad positioning and poor communication calling out the screens. (It may be that the positioning is partly due to the coach's defensive scheme though.)

BBall Breakdown: The Kevin Love Pick and Roll Problem

summary: the main choices for PnR defense with Love all have problems: either non-switch option probably concedes open threes because the Warriors start their PnRs well above the arc, and Love switching onto Curry won't work either.

I'm predicting the Warriors to win. They'll probably lose the game that Draymond is suspended for, which miiiiiight not happen but he's got a rep with the refs now and I kinda expect it to happen. And between Peak LeBron and one random game where JR catches fire, I think it'll be Warriors in 6.

I completely expect Draymond to get another flagrant to push him to a suspension within the first 3 games.

Not because i think he'll be reckless but because i fully expect the cavs, lebron especially, to do whatever's necessary (flops included) to put draymond into foul trouble inside the paint

That being said, i hope he does catch the suspension sooner than later rather than having it come towards the tail end of the series where losing him could be quite pivotal. .
