your gameplan is to get lucky? LOLOL

i didn't watch the game, but did the Cavs bother playing defense or did they just try to out-chuck the warriors?

They played exactly how they have all playoffs. So basically they played terrible D on average. The back court pressure to deny Curry and to a lesser extent Thompson the ball was pretty good most of the game though. But as a whole, it's exactly what was expected. Same shit they did against the raps except Warriors hit their open looks.

He is a bad defender though, as evidenced by the fact that the Cavs tried to hide him every opportunity they could. You don't do that with someone who's even remotely competent.

83 out 85 point guards in defensive plus minus isn't that bad. Players also shoot only like 10% above their average against him.

James Jones wondering if he left the oven on at home.

JR Smith and Shumpert just disappear and do nothing in these finals getting to the point where I can't fault Melo for nothing about not getting them more involved.
Shumpert got paid 40 mil for what exactly? He makes me wonder if the Raps should trade Ross with the contract he is on.

Wow they really paid Shumpert 40 million? Damn that is crazy. Gotta give Lebron some respect. At the very least he makes sure his teammates get paid. Even if they aren't anywhere near the worth that money. Especially Tristen Thompson and Love. It means a lot when its all said n done.

Well yeah, definitely passed more as well.

But I was recalling from my memory more times him getting stripped than getting a shot up lol.

Lol yeah you're probably right. BTW anyone have a gif of that slo-mo swat they showed in replay? It was a thing of beauty.

I really, really hope this finals will finally get people off of Kevin Love's dick.

The guy can't play at the level people say he does or is expected of him, he's a bench scorer who can board and facilitate a little but not really. His numbers are the definition of empty, and he's a locker room cancer.

I never got the hype.

LIS before the game, Bron has to feel the worst. He cannot win a game by himself against a team that goes 10-12 deep with ease, but every single time he builds his mega team, another, even BETTER mega team emerges from nowhere to rule over him and clown on him.

It's gotta suck knowing just how good you are and just how bad your rep is because you ran into the equivalent of the prime Jordan Bulls.

Game 1 was a perfect example how freaking deep GS is. The two best players were hot garbage all night and they still won easily. That unanimous MVP is more laughable every single day. I loathe LBJ, but if you swap those two players, one of the two teams falls of considerably, and it's not GS.

As great as he is, he also got clowned by the corpses of Shawn Marion and Jason Kidd. That series was not a good look for LBJ. And I know that Bulls won 72 games, but I'll take the 91-92 Bulls team every day before the 72-team win. Jordan was better and his team was deeper.

If he was as scrappy on defense as he is at getting to the line and at grabbing rebounds he'd be all nba 1st/2nd team. Consistently.

He's absolutely terrible defensively though. Always has been. And a lot of times he'll get caught behind the action because he'll be busy complaining to the refs about getting hit.

He's afraid of contact on defense, straight up. Which fucking baffles me for a guy that drives as well as he does.

Like, you look at him and he SHOULD be a great, great player. But he's not, he's just an average player that can flash greatness on you. And yeah, sorry, that ain't gonna cut it.

Kerr went super saiyan on that clipboard, no wonder he fought MJ in practice lol

Be interesting to see if Curry can get his first FMVP

Please. No Bron to the Knicks.

Just let us finally try and actually build a team, not let Bron come in, trade all our young players then fuck it all up so we're trapped as an also ran forever.

This makes so little sense my brain is hurting.

If the Cavs lose again, they are to the Finals what the Hawks are to the regular season.

A bunch of false hope that gets eventually hit with reality.

That would be 3 times LeBron failed to bring a chip to The Land.

But he is stacking up those worthless silver balls they give out for the Conference "championship". 7x champ! Maybe that is what he was taking about when he said, "Not 5, not 6, not 7..." He's almost there! He can become an 8x
Eastern Conference
champ next year!

if it weren't for Ray Allen's godmode shooting he'd be 1-5 in the finals. There's only been 2 seasons in his career where I think he's been on the best team in the league, which is weird.

I don't get this line of thinking. If it weren't for a lot of different things you could have a lot of different results. But only one scenario actually happened.

I mean lets be real honest here. The spurs choked game 6 away, it was their series and they completely fucked it up. LeBron didn't deserve that one and we all know it. I think its very much part of the narrative that LeBron loses in the finals, they 100% should have lost that. Ray Allen saved them.

i'd take Delly/Shumpert/JR over Melo

Means nothing, Melo is a loser and always will be one. A rich loser, but a loser none the less. LeBron, for whatever reason, has never been able to get the correct supporting cast around him to dominate the league and win all the titles like he should.

Ray Allen is part of their team though. You're acting like he just appeared out of the crowd and put on a Heat uniform.

I'm not acting that way at all, I'm saying they should have lost and they got bailed out. That game plays out 100 times, they win 1 of them. They didn't deserve it, but they won because Ray Allen is a god damn legend.

Curry on the same team with Irving, Love and JR Smith?...That would be like Mike D'Antoni's dream team. They would probably win 74 games in the regular season and shatter every 3 point shooting record as well.

Mike D'Antoni managed to make Earl Clark look like a real NBA player.

I hate that Love is a stretch 4 only. Love from two years ago would draw double teams in the post and wreak havok

Turnovers killed the Cavs though.

Man, I hate this stupid bullshit

Should games just end last couple seconds? Are games not allowed to have crazy final moments? /if a team makes a crazy comeback after being down, is that somehow not legitimate because you think it isn't?
