If the Spurs have taught us anything it's that blowing a team up after a playoff letdown is not conducive to long term success. You keep the big 3 and get better pieces to fill in. Hell, the Heat got Ray Allen to come off the bench after their first finals loss together. No JR, none of Lebron's friends clogging roster spots (lol James Jones), Mozgov is a great trade piece if you're not going to play him.

Keep Delly/Shump/Frye. Get a younger version of RJ. This team still has a 3 year window assuming an East team doesn't get an insane upgrade through draft or trade.

Mozgov is a free agent this offseason. Cavs can't trade him.

I will laugh so hard if they trade Love after shitting away their cap and long term flexibility for him.

That was a little surprising even to me. I figured Kyrie would hurt Cleveland defensively, but Barnes is by far the easiest assignment when playing GS and even there Kyrie was terrible.

I think it would be a mistake to try and hide Kyrie. Sic him on Curry, no switches. Offensively skilled, athletic stars that don't play defense have the ability to do so, no exceptions. He's going to get lost on screens and all the other stuff the Warriors conventionally do, but he should be ok 1 on 1.

Love on the other hand, I don't know if there's any saving that.

Kyrie on Bogut: The Quest to Hide Kyrie

Funny enough before the game tonight started, I actually suggested that the Cavs should put Iriving on Barnes since Barnes has been a complete ghost so you can hide him there. As well as Love on Bogut.

...well back to the drawing board on that quest lol.

Irving on Kyrie? That's a whole basketball inception thing going on there :p

LeBron James was 1-2 for 2 points against Andre Iguodala.

Iguodala was his final defender on 22 plays (most of any player)

Lebron might actually go 2-5 in the finals. That is truly sad, but not as sad as his broken jumper. He doesn't just miss, his shots are just bricks.

Heat don't enough cap after having to give Wade Kobe money and not having Whiteside's bird rights. doesn't mean he'll come to the Lakers but unless Wade takes a big paycut again, chances of Whiteside staying there are very slim.

Still think he is a lifer. Heat still gotta make a decision whether Bosh will be player next year and I don't think they want to take that risk. I would love Whiteside at LA, specially with the young core, but I gotta be realistic.

Watch Iggy get Finals MVP again.

A 6th man getting Finals MVP twice would be awesome.

Lue should go

Kyrie
JR
LeBron
Love
Fyre

Next game, just try to out gun the warriors by 3's to start
Maybe they get lucky Steph X Klay are cold to start the game

your gameplan is to get lucky? LOLOL

i didn't watch the game, but did the Cavs bother playing defense or did they just try to out-chuck the warriors?

wait really?

So lebron got stripped/swatted more times than he even put up a shot against iguodala?

JR Smith and Shumpert just disappear and do nothing in these finals getting to the point where I can't fault Melo for nothing about not getting them more involved.
Shumpert got paid 40 mil for what exactly? He makes me wonder if the Raps should trade Ross with the contract he is on.

Ive stated multiple times that kyrie is not a bad defender, not that he is a great defender. Read my posts

He is a bad defender though, as evidenced by the fact that the Cavs tried to hide him every opportunity they could. You don't do that with someone who's even remotely competent.
