Trump wasn’t going to provide a Stimulus check for a product made in China for a Japanese company sold in the U.S.

Now if this guy had ordered an XBOX... which is a product sold by an American company assembled in China and sold in the U.S. ...

It still wouldn’t have mattered.

Xbox folk, can you login to the one account on multiple devices at the same time or do I need to create multiple accounts?
It's a new feature, you can login to as many devices as you want now but only one of them can access games/subs tied to your account. It's so that xCloud didn't keep signing you out of consoles. You can also game share on PC for play anywhere titles.

I'm not sure it can run hot and have the SSD/IO complex performance - that has effectively been verified by Epic with UE5's demo.

The Road to PS5 explanation about constant boost clocking screams less energy wasted as heat IMHO, because the clocking is designed to consume excess power - from the constant supplied wattage - on narrower occupancy workloads. Even smartshift is designed to do the same on the CPU side - by pushing excess power to the GPU to drive the GPU clock marginally higher to absorb more of that energy as work done.

in the simple equations of:

TotalPower = PowerForWorkdone + PowerWastedAsHeat

It stands to reason that minimising the PowerWastedAsHeat for a config, increasing the volume over which the heat is dissipated, and doubled your cooling solution - say with a heatsink on both sides of the APU - allows you to have a super powerful config, that is quiet and as a modest temperature too.

You can put the biggest heatsink on a CPU you want and diffuse the exhaust air with 20 fans, the net heat dissipation will still be the same. You may maintain a lower running temperature on the chip, but that's just because you are moving heat more quickly. Heat dissipation is just a necessary evil for all electronic devices.

No direct evidence but we have this leak that possibly shows a PS5 metal fan guard and then the 4gamer image shows metal on both sides where there is otherwise plastic. So symmetrical metal on both sides for something.

ps5_fan.jpg

Amazing how Sony have kept this under wraps and hope when the teardowns come it doesn't turn out to be a bog standard setup....
I think that metal plate on the left is just shielding over the disk drive.

Also 3500 pages is crazy, give us the teardown soon Cerny-san I'll even play Knack again if you want

Can we stop with the xsx overheating fud bullshit?

Please?

I agree. Unless there's some REAL evidence or reports...from real world production models...this is pointless. Same as insisting the same about PS5 due to the earlier dev kits. Just let it go, folks! We have plenty to speculate about that is REAL and still a mystery without this kind of crap.

I'm sure a lot of PS fans think the XsX will most likely be fine and it doesn't have overheating problems..

... I just think most people are just going along with it because of what Xbox fanboys did when people were spreading FUB about the PS5 overheating.

Yeah, maybe. But I think you're right. No one really believes it's an issue at this point. I sure don't. I DO expect both consoles to be...warm though. Hell, my receiver gets damn hot after being on all day. It's kind of...electronics and.....physics. :)

Then those same people shouldn't be quick to accuse fans of the other side of the fence spreading misinformation without proof.

Otherwise they're no better than those 4-5 xbox twitter trolls like nugroho, eastwood, dealer and the like.

And Odium.

There, I've said it, Gavin.

I'm not worried about heat dissipation, although a cooler case should mean you're either moving a higher volume of air through the case, or your components aren't getting that hot (assuming similarly-tight packaging). My main concern is power usage. I hope these consoles aren't drawing a lot of power while in standby, as I like to keep my machine in that mode, and don't fancy running up a higher-than-necessary electric bill should I take an extended holiday. I look forward to those measurements, once retail units are finally in homes.

Are there reputable sources reporting the XSX has thermal issues.?

By that I mean are reports from people that wouldn't benefit from fabrications.

Okay I'm not exactly a fan... However on a graphical comparison opinion I'm excited for next gen, this looks impressive.... Granted the players still have a freaky look about them but the fluid of their movement helps reduce that somewhat, the reflections on the court, the detail in the fabric on the kits and the basket, the density of the crowd... Nicely done. 🤔

Yeah, I'm not really a sports games fan but I gotta admit that look good. I wasn't expecting to be impressed by that game but I am now.

Really makes you think

"I have embargo and all I can say is something that fucks Sony."

Yes, it has a clear embargo with MS (but it seems that with Sony not).

"...It will refrain from making statements or comments to third parties of a defamatory nature or that may discredit or discredit the company or its employees, administrators or products, both during and after the end of the contract."

DF appears to have signed this clause as well.

I personally recommend that you keep it well ventilated as indicated in the manual. But this, by common sense, is applicable to all electronic devices. That is not to say that XSX has problems, it simply means that its cooling system does its job well by expelling all the heat it generates internally out. In this case, PS5 generates less heat and distributes it more. But the important thing is that neither of them dies. Obviously there will always be people who destroy their consoles by introducing them into poorly ventilated spaces (although XSX would die earlier in the same circumstances), or people who destroy their controls with their nails in two days of use to justify that a product may be defective or of poor quality. , but I think we are all smart enough and have the least common sense to know when they are trolling you and when not.

40CU RDNA2 2.5 GHz boost clock (Navi22) should land around 3070/2080ti

36CU RDNA2 2.23 GHz boost clock (PS5 ) should land around 2060s:messenger_mr_smith_who_are_you_going_to_call:

Thats whats so cool about these consoles, such high performance value.

The consoles are $500 (or $400 PS5 DE) but have 8 core Zen2 CPUs, Gen4 SSDs, and almost 2080 Ti performance.

It'd cost $1000+ to get similar performance on PC currently.

The value of the consoles is so exciting. Great games too.

Phil Spencer believes that it will take years to see 8K become the standard in video games

Interesting that all NBA 2K21 trailer uploads say: "All footage captured from a work in progress build of NBA 2K21 on Playstation 5"

The XboX Channel has uploaded the same trailer, but saying: "All footage captured from a work in progress next gen build of NBA 2K21"
It does not mention XBox (Series X)

Why don't they just show a Series S build then? Series S is also next gen.

lol its cross gen game the XSX it can look like that. Its when devs move to next gen, upgrade their engines build for SSD's. XSX is going to look spooky. Its when next gen features show up you will start hearing about patches in unknown time frame or simply XSX doesn't have X,Y,Z effects. Xbox execs already tapping out of RT talk. Now it doesn't matter. This shit is hilarious.

Of course. 8K TVs also need to become standard first.

No it's not what are you talking about?
GamePass costs more than Gold/Plus but that's OK.
Plus and Gold are 60 afaik.
Nope, Xbox just recently eliminated the 1 year buy option for $60.

Now its $10 per month for Xbox Live Gold, so $120/year. Same as Game Pass.

They want to make Game Pass Ultimate look good for $180/year.

Edit - checked, and they do still offer the $25 for 3 month option, so can be had for $100/year.

That would explain why the cynicism and doubt/concern seems to be a bit lopsided.

Had to check if they do the same here

Here at Finland they still sell 12 month gold cards on physical stores, but it could be old inventory

Microsoft site sells only

6.99€/month
19.99€/3 months

So it is 83,88€ or ~80€/year

Ps+ is usually 59-69€/year and on sale 35-50€ sometimes.

Gamepass with gold is 12.99€/month = 155€/year

IMO that is fucking expensive in the long run compared to just ps+ and buying games from sale/used. Nobody haves the time to play all games in gamepass/psnow anyway so you pay for something you dont use. Like people whom pay 40€/month for unlimited phone calls+txt+internet and not use it much at all, while pay by minute with unlimited internet would cost the half or less
