If XSX has 802GB out of 1,024GB available storage, 222GB occupied, and PS5 has 664GB available out of 825, 161GB occupied. How much would be available from 512GB while using the same system? 512-222= 290GB available! Yes, everybody is avoiding the elephant in the room. Then pay $229 for that external SSD. Buying an XSS sounds like a scam to me.

Just to be a smartass, it is ultimately watts that kill. Amps has the same issue as volts, you could survive 100 amps at 1.5 volts easy, you need both numbers to have a determinant measurement. Most healthy people are okay with a quick jolt of 1,500 to 2,000 watts, many survive a lot more than that (lightning strike), but you are more likely to have your heart stop the higher that you go.

In your controller, stick and trigger movement are examples of analog input. Previous controllers sampled inputs and transmitted the results every 8ms, regardless of when games actually needed the input data. So even if you quickly adjusted the analog stick or trigger in a slightly different way, the game may have received this button state change too late and, for that instant, may use your previous button state.
That's it, that's the only number. Fucking go now and bring me the new number from that article that you've wasted my time with. Nothing about what's gonna be (latency in numbers) in the new one.
So it's slower in the console, and faster on PC with Bluetooth or wired. The irony.

That is a dangourous statement to say. Our skin is an insulator in a sense, and all insulators will be breakdown if high enough voltage is applied across it. You see imagine voltage as being the the height of a water tank the higher it is the more potential i.e Pressure it has.
When the pressure is high enough it doesnt matter what type of material you put at the end to prevent the flow of the water it will start leaking and after a duration of time it will break down the material.
Same thing in our body if you put across it high voltage i.e high potential it will break down the material i.e our skin/insulator enabling the flow of the electrons i.e current across our body which will cause the electric shock.
tldr: high voltage will breakdown the skin that is why it is dangerous.

And the killer blow - Microsoft, their so called partner - entering the console race. That's how I remembered it at the time and was always surprised Sega fans blamed Sony and shifted their allegiance to Microsoft. The rationale was probably due to the fact that by then Sega were doomed in the home console market but MS's Xbox was a genuine challenger to their enemy (Playstation).
Of course the real reason was that Sega messed up about as bad as you can with the Mega CD, Mega 32X and the Saturn, then dropped that generation ASAP to do it properly with the Dreamcast. They were constantly screwing over their own customers. I loved Virtua Racing on the 32X though, and the Megadrive is still probably my favourite console - got the mini one now, just wish it had Quackshot on it.

The only thing these games are taking advantage of is the raw speed of the NVMe SSD. The methods they are using to access the data is the exact same way they did on the Xbox One hardware.
A perfect example is the recent test that was done with the RTX 3090 VRAM and Crysis 3. The game was installed on something that offers 936.2 GB/s access speed, but was no different in loading speeds compared to a NVMe. So almost 300 times the throughput for no increase in performance.

Yeah that's the number for old controllers, and then they explain how they handle it now, and that it will be faster. So when it comes to the input they say:
"The system now precisely keeps the controller in sync with the game for both analog and digital inputs." So transmitting the results isn't every 8ms anymore, it's instant now. That's already a huge improvement. Obviously wired connection is still better.
To get actual results to compare, well we have to wait. Do we know these figures for the Dual Sense?

Dram caches have always worked great for creating false read/write speeds. As soon as your write or read exceeds the size of the cache, or you have a string of sequential requests over that number in total, the drive reverts to being as fast as the nand can read/write to the dram cache and the apparent speed boost disappears. There are some great benefits to a dram cache that do stay static, one is having the file table there, that's the biggest advantage over a dramless design.
Edit: I should note that I don't think that Sony is figuring a dram advantage in, their sustained number is low given the channels in play so I'm sure that is sustained. Figured I needed to edit before getting stoned.

Now, can you explain to me why the PC "old" Bluetooth adapter of the XO controller is 15% faster (6.9ms vs 8ms)? You see, the further you continue, the thinner the ground underneath you becomes.
Saying that their exclusive solution is better than Bluetooth is wrong, proven by facts even within their own controller on PC.

Update: Apologies, the Western Digital 1T SSD is actually $9 more than the Xbox Series seagate SSD cards.So an Xbox Series SSD card is more expensive than a PS5 compatible 1T SSD from Western Digital.

Its not going to change.Mark Cerny said you cant just put an SSD in & expect huge impact. XSX SSD is as good as a low end SSD model found in PC. Its just what it is. No code will fix it. The hundreds of devs in the store are just not going to waste time patching games just to appease console warriors. On Speed boots up. Yes it's true. We have known this for months. XBX has a cheap SSD controller without any cache, the PS5019-E19T . Everything has to be done on main ram which is why some loadings are barely improved:
Ouch, that is brutal. Up to and over a minute on a next gen system.

IIRC fan fest usually runs along Xbox’s major events like E3. Maybe another Xbox event is coming?
If it turns out to be true that Xbox will have another event later, I guess we can assume that Moore’s law is dead is also right about another PlayStation event. Also with the new web Ps Store coming on 19th October, I feel like the pieces are coming together. We should definitely get the UI reveal this month.
