This, in addition to Helm having suffered a setback (concussion) preventing him from playing tomorrow as well as a report that Glendenning may not play tomorrow leaves me wondering if one of our juicy young prospects (AA, Mantha, or Ber2uzzi) will play.

Most of the important stuff GR tweeted, giving up land development rights is a big thing around the arena. Previously SSE had a deal with Boyd Gaming for casino rights pending state legislation. The second is revenue sharing from expansion with the county. Also note the losses is for the Panthers NHL team and not indicative of SSE (parent company) as a whole, revenue still comes from events and bookings outside of hockey. Total is ~86 million payed out over 13 years with an 8 year out clause for the team. My guess is the team will want new construction for the then 20+ year old construction, probably closer in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Housing and market trends are completely reverse after the recession to cities where the suburbs are getting poorer.

Overall it's a pretty good deal both ways for the sides involved, and if the Panthers can be a consistent playoff team then it will plenty profitable.

A lot less people. S. Fla is basically a 20 mile wide, 100 mile long urban area, right now in Sunrise they mainly draw from Broward, West Palm area with some of Northern Dade. Orlando is closer to TB than S. Fla too.
