Gonna be playing at https://www.twitch.tv/namtox
I haven't seen any of the videos of any major channels or any of the openings.

Going in blind, keeping the chatter to a minimum outside of answering some questions, feel free to ask me anything you wanna know!

Just going to be doing the first hour or two for tonight though.

Played a couple hours and I'm well into the first village area that was in the alpha last year. Since I dabbled in the first alpha, I have a pretty good direct comparison of the two and the final is waaaay easier. I remember having trouble getting past the first few guys, and now I'm rarely dying. In the first few seconds after getting off the boat I killed a revenant and got an overpowered axe that I feel trivialized a lot of the first part.

Still getting trampled by those ogres though! Also, I've gotten so much varied armor right off the bat. Does anyone know if they mix it up more? It'd be a shame to see most of what the game has to offer armor-wise at the beginning of the game.

At any rate, I'm really enjoying it so far. Love the combat system, and how you can read enemy stamina as well and react accordingly. Had a few laughs, particularly one moment where I spawned a revenant right next to a patch of fire and he just stood in the flames and died within a few seconds. The positive reception totally feels justified so far.

Being generous, i would say 10 to 15 hours of that was idling in the game while I did other work. STILL, A LOT OF FUCKIN GAME.

Are the digital pre-order item will be for sales later or is it a one time item? I really want Yukimura Sanada armor.

Unfortunately it doesn't appear the Nioh and Crimson Master armour will be attainable at launch unless you preorder(Crimson Master might be available in DLC), from a post in the last Nioh thread -

Leaving this here as I don't really consider this a spoiler but might be a common question.

So does the final product look less awful visually and are the areas and enemy encounters less repetitive? While some of the enemy designs were great, boy did the beta look drab and the Yokhai effects look busy.

Considering TLG is quite fantastic, Nioh must be the single greatest game of all time then. Good to hear they finally nailed it.

Of course, the back of the box would read:

"10/10 - Even Jim Sterling likes it."

Goddamn this game is awesome. I'm playing 1080p/30 FPS btw. I need my souls framerate.

Yeah i played at 1080p30 for a significant amount of time and it was pretty interesting. I actually think it performs better at that FPS than Souls on console

Is there a demo available? I looked on the PlayStation store. But all it had was the actual game.

Someone in this thread said playing this game is like playing Demon's Souls for the first time.

I can confirm this. I can't describe it but this game is special.

I wonder how many more locations are there other than the ones shown in the alphas and betas, for such a long game i hope there's many.

I just preordered the digital edition. I didn't get the deluxe edition since I won't get any season pass blindly.

Can't wait for Tuesday!

Well, it doesn't suffer frame pacing issues like Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3. So yes, it's feels way better at 30fps. But 1080p 60fps on Pro for me.

I have pre-ordered this, although lately I have been pre-ordering many games. I like to order collectors edition of games, as I enjoy when they come with figures. GameStop owns a store now and I can't remember the store name, but she got me these collectible Ghostbusters action figures for Christmas, to hang on my wall in my man-land (now teenager hang out for our other PSVR).

Back on topic, I wish this had a CE, I think it would provide some great collectible figures.

Does the PS4's pre-loading feature have that unpacking crap that Steam does (that just makes downloading after release quicker in most cases)? If not then I think I might get this digitally, everything I've seen about this so far shows me that it's going to be like Bloodborne in that I won't want to sell it.
