Wifey just got me an oculus for my b-day! Alright y'all what are the must see/play experiences off the bat??
I'm starting to fear that it was an unwise investment for me to buy the oculus rift. I have now tried both project cars and the solus project, and have felt motion sick only after a few minutes. Anyone else here feeling uneasy after such a short while with these games?

Cool thanks for the reccoHappy birthday!
I'm not sure if it's "must see/play" for you, but I thought the Apollo 11 VR experience was so amazing.
So I walked through the registry edit for asw. I just don't know if it enables when I press ctrl+num4 during a game.
- when I press the button combo, a weird sound effect plays
- do I have to enable it during each game?

Thanks bud, I downloaded the sdk and used the debug tool to confirm the enabling of asw. It works, then I kicked up the pixel density and hot damn this rift is so bad ass. Really blowing my mind, pixel density increase with eve val valkyrie really takes it to another level. Definitely satisfied with my purchase.I'm not sure if the numpad options reset at all, but if they do, I suspect it would happen on OVR service restart. It will persist across different game sessions. I used the Oculus debug tool performance monitor to validate it was on. When it kicks in, FPS will drop directly from 90 to 45.
I started off feeling a bit woozy in racing games but am comfortable with them now. Dirt Rally I still have to limit my time with though, it's pretty intense.
In PCars, if you are racing the karts choose something else like a saloon racer or sports car. Also if you spin close your eyes.
Changing the horizon/camera settings may help as well. http://www.paradigmshiftracing.com/racing-basics/racing-sims-default-settings-can-cause-vr-sickness-how-to-fix-it
Obduction has been patched for VR support on Steam
It's also live on the Oculus store. At the time of this post, it's in the Gallery app section (formerly Concepts; early access equivalent) for some reason...
Does this also use the controller analog stick to move?
Yea I want to see how well things work with 2 sensors in my Vive space before picking up a third.
I'll probably be buying Obduction some time in the next week, looks very high quality and I'm hearing good things.
Also, in other good news, Dead and Buried is now also free with Oculus Touch:

https://www.oculus.com/blog/oculus-touch-tuesdays-dead-and-buried/
That's 3 fully featured free games coming with Touch launch: VR Sports Challenge, The Unspoken, and Dead and Buried.
Don't forget that Bullet Train demo will also be free day 1, Robo Recall will be free early next year, and chances are both Oculus Medium and Quill will be free as well. That's a shitload of free software for Touch buyers!
Anyone try Obduction VR?
I'm thinking about selling my Oculus CV1.
Own a Vive/PSVR/GearVR/(soon)DayDream.
Lucky's Tale, Chronos and Edge of Nowhere has been amongst some of the most enjoyable gaming playthroughs of this year for me so I'm definitely happy I had the device.
However, there's several reasons why I'm selling it but I'm just double-checking if there's any absolute must-haves in your opinion over the next 6 months (sure, Touch brings the product to a level it should have been at when it launched but any killer apps?).

Is it still coming to Oculus? Video is banned in the USA for some reason.
The Climb has been patched to finally allow supersampling, among other graphics tweaks.
Wonder if it supports Touch now.
Also, Medium is the real deal. Oculus would be insane to not push it hard.
Oculus Avatars appeared in my Oculus Home for some reason, maybe because I have Touch, I don't know.
Anyway, I've recorded a quick video to showcase it, it's pretty cool!

New Oculus blog post
- 1.10 is rolling out now and ASW will be enabled by default
- An app called First Contact will launch with Touch, which looks like an elaborate demo that serves as an intro to using Touch.
- Avatars are now in the SDK (not live for users until Touch launch)
For what it's worth, I have been having lots of USB related issues since I installed the Win10 anniversary update. The most annoying of which is that my PC will hang on boot unless I unplug my USB hub. If I plug it back in after login, then it's okay. Troubleshooting it has a pain in the ass.
Has anyone had issues with Oculus Home not opening since the updated? My logs show that it updated overnight at the weekend, and since then it just won't open for me. I've tried uninstalling and doing a fresh install, but it's just sticks at the screen with the pulsing logo.
