Also updated the script, a lot more stats (sacks, sacked, games, pass attempts, turnover ratio, rush attempts, passing yards per attempt, etc). Also made it so the sorting column is noticeable, fixed some sorting that wasn't correct, fixed some stats that were incorrect in their decimal numbers. Also all the tables are collapsible if you click their title ("Total Offensive Stats" for example). Did some cleanup to remove redundant code.

Technically the script isn't that far away from being able to post individual leaderboards, but I wasn't sure if that was something people wanted.

I downloaded and installed Firefox just so I could use the script. Great stuff Sable.

Just a couple of little things I noticed:

There is something up with your 4th down conversion calculation. It appears to take 1% off each. People that are 3 for 3 are 99%, 2 for 4 are 49%.

Red Zone % appears to be RZ Touchdown %. Still a useful stat, but RZ field goals are unaccounted for. This may have been intentional, I'm just bringing it up in case it wasn't.
(on a side note, how the hell does Carolina have just 2 red zone attempts so far?)

BTW I can not get any turnovers. My players can't hold on to picks and can't force fumbles. And I hate having to use the hit stick on every single play because I don't think it is realistic. I think I have one of the worst turnover ratios in the league.

Don't forget to jam on LB when engaged with the ballcarrier. A good linebacker or safety can rip the ball out from offensive players with poor CAR ratings. DON'T use it when trying to tackle power running backs one on one. I've stripped the ball far more than I've popped it out with a hit stick tackle.

Antonio Gates is who you have to watch out for since LBs can't keep up with him and playing zone won't lead to much better results.

In the first game I contained him but like always the second game was a completely different story.

Edit: It really depends on the pressure the Defense gets. If I tried to help in coverage your QB had all day to pass and if I tried to help in the rush my defenders just leave holes in coverage everywhere. Even if you don't blitz the flats aren't covered like on that third down pass late in the fourth. LT was wide open.

I believe I had Gates as among the league leaders in YAC last season. Everyone would blitz me on third and short expecting a run to LT so I'd just hit Gates on a quick pass and let him run with it.

Playing against guys like Stroud, Sedrick Ellis, and Darnell Dockett is troublesome in our league - in real life these situations would be addressed with double teams. I suspect that things could become a little too intricate with the O-Line adjustments and audibles, causing Tiburon to shy away from something like this. It could lead to some awesome shit though that is present in the game of football that is not accurately represented in game.

I'm not sure what you mean? I routinely see Haynesworth getting blocked by two or three OL when I'm controlling him (to my dismay as I watch Carter, Griffin and Daniels unable to work their way around one single guy).

What I've seen with Tuck is I work past one guy, there's another guy behind him waiting to take me on. That's not how it happens in the NFL.

Oh yea, now that you describe it like that, yea, they do sort of "wait in line" or hover around the D-lineman. I guess you could just assign it to the right stick-left for left/right for DEs, up/down for DTs or NT.

Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to write this sable?

not too bad, I've been meaning to try writing a greasemonkey script for some time, so it was a good learning experience. Java to javascript was pretty easy. Took a couple hours (3-6?), not sure exactly how long. just been doing it in what spare time I have. A lot of it was mostly tedious/not complicated stuff.

The version I'm working on seems correct as far as 4th down goes so I must have already fixed that?. i'll have it posted tonight.

As for the red zone %, I wasn't sure exactly how to calculate that so I only used TDs. So its really just (tds+fgs)/rz attempts? If so i'll fix that.

Because the number of tables is increasing it might take a second for the tables to appear.

Also now the tables will all be hidden to start with, was getting to be a hassle to scroll through it all. Just click the name and the table will show up and vice versa.

There were some other fixes and changes such as sorting fixes so that numbers would sort correctly (time of possession was one of them).

Anybody know a easy way to notify people of greasemonkey script changes?

Also this is probably my last version barring some minor bug fixes or something.

Up by 4 in the 4th, 2nd and 8 wellie thinks he's got Hixon open. But I called a zone and theres three guys right there when wellie throws it instantly. Instead of a knock down or something good for me, Hixon makes a magical fucking catch (bounced off of his hands and sharpers and right back into hixons) and goes in for a 47 yard td:

then down by three, wellie drive stalls with a 3rd and six left. Passes to Bradshaw, lb jumps it but doesn't get the pick. The ball then bounces off of another defender who also doesnt catch it and magically goes into the hands of bradshaw who turns all the way around without slowing down at all:

Forgetting that it turned into a minigame of how can I stop Peterson from playing Randy Moss out there, the INTs were inexcusable. Now I've got a cocksucking bye week so I get to simmer in how close I was, and how easy the win would have been had I not been a complete fucking moron.

One of the TDs was my fault, totally. I should have been playing a deep zone as a safety, but as I saw that the middle zone couldn't cover AP's route, I moved toward him out of fear, leaving Berrian WIDE OPEN for the easiest TD he could possibly ever get. Another TD had Samari Rolle (filling in for 99 rated Ed Reed..only 5 more weeks. Suck my cock EA!) taking the absolute worst angle ever in a deep zone, and giving Chester Taylor a free TD.

Note to those playing the Vikings. Manually move DEs into the flats. It took me too long to realize that. Even then he'll probably do a crossing route and outrun the LB but it's worth a shot.

At least Yamon Figurs got a 2nd KR return for a TD. I can't pass for shit, but I can sure as hell return kicks. If we ever have a co-op madden team in 5 years, that'll be my role. KR/PR specialist. Just keep me the fuck away from QB.

I had a similar (and equally frustrating) time of it during my game against the Vikings, where AP had 8 more catches than the next highest receiver.

I can't say he was abusing it, because I probably would throw to the open man as well. It's just really really hard to stop him in the game. He's an elite player (AP, not daw) and this version of the game allows for pass catching RBs to excel. He'll break any tackle from a CB, but he can outrun any LB. Zone coverage is the only option, but there are still holes for AP to catch it, and once he catches, it he's off.
