Zarya is turning out to be my favourite character right now. It's weird because during the beta I never played her once and only stuck with Genji. I love how she plays, especially if our team has a Reinhardt and Mercy so we can go dual tanks...And Im willing to bet she gets buffed in the next balance patch.

Tell that to the Roadhog who thought he'd pick on poor little Mercy. I solo killed him with that pistol. He missed his hook and probably panicked.
I've scared off quite a few people with well placed shots.

I've enjoyed pubbing with you. GAF groups in general on PS4 have been great.
It was rampant during the open beta which is why I stopped trying to use her. Haven't tried her yet in the full release

If it makes you feel better i'm barely in the top 100 for Lucio on PS4 in NA... i've played him the most and have like an 80% win rate with him.
searching a name syncs it, pulling everyone that's ever opened the game would be a huge strain. they probably only update stats once per day or every time a name is searched.
Zarya was one of the characters in the beta that I just didn't understand how to use but people on here keep saying she is pretty good. Maybe I should try her out in a couple of matches.

I feel you. I only started using her yesterday after mainly sticking with D.VA as my go to tank, and now I adore her. She's like a support tank with her shields. It feels really good when you're helping teamates with shields while simultaneously powering yourself up.
Now I switch between Zarya and D.VA mostly, depending on the situation.

I've played waaaay too many MOBAs to associate a team kill with 6. I've killed 5 enemies before by myself and called it a team kill even though its not.

I don't get the people saying Zenyatta sucks. His health pool is a bit small but otherwise he is insane. I love taking out a Roadhog in seconds and his ult has saved our asses quite a few times.
I'd argue she has one of the best attack oriented ults in the game. Alone it's pretty damaging, but man when you pair it up with another aoe ult it's absolutely nuts.

The thing about Mercy is some people see her as a defenseless free kill, and will just run straight at her with no attempt to dodge. Her pistol may be weak, but if you can headshot with every shot that's still 200 damage per second. I've gotten solo kills on several enemies due to this.

The only time I played him he felt like a heavier tracer, he could be a blast for harassing.

To me he does good damage and fair heals with a useful debuff, but he is essentially performing two roles at the same time. He's not as good as McCree for single target highly accurate damage, and his heals falter compared to Lucio and Mercy but as a secondary option if you already have those he is fine.
His ult is also not as useful as Lucio's or Mercy's.
Design wise/animation wise he might be my favorite character in the game. Nirvana-achieved robot that hurls prayer beads at enemies for damage? That's cool.
He swerves heavily between great and unusable. Any widowmaker with a pulse is basically an instant char switch since he can't even survive a body shot.

I think Mercy is very punishing if you have random pubs who just spread and go solo into the fray. I feel so useless and under utilized. My damage sucks compared to the other supports, can't do much by myself and my fly ability is negated. I still pick her up since I enjoy her the most. Suck when I get no back up (Winstons on my ass and no one does anything) or when my healing partner dies and I look behind me and I'm alone.
Got my first legendary after 24 levels, got 500g and that for me is the best legendary.

I like Zarya alot. I feel like I've gotten worse with her since beta. I think I'm finding myself in situations where I can't get her damage up because people are either dead around me or I'm timing the objective push right. The latter is what I'm gonna try to push going forward to get better. What's your style?

Yeah, as a primary support he can't keep up but as a supplementary support, he's amazing. He works well in setups that have two tanks or other unbalanced team comps as he evens them out by increasing everyone's damage.
Yup, I think she and Zenyatta are great 6th picks for this reason.

Zarya to me feels like the best pick in a case when you have 5 people who have picked roles and you need one more to round out the team.
He also has really crap health and no escapes aside from his ult, making him an extremely easy target for Widowmakers and Tracers. His heal being an automatic thing makes it so he doesn't have to stick to a tank like Mercy, and Lucio has good health and escapes.

I always try to pick Mercy because I feel like I am the greatest Mercy in the entire community. Could just be that everyone sucks.

I don't know what the tier lists are right now, but I think Mercy has to be topping it. On a team where she is protected she will turn the tide of a match. I have been in a situation where basically we took out everyone at the first capture in hollywood. Mercy had just enough health, got away and revived everyone and we got stomped. In attack I like playing mercy, or I'll play an offensive character and keep an eye out for her.
