4-5 Winston with the rest sports taken by Lucio works really well for pushing the enemy team in pugs.

Monkey Business is serious business.

Winston is awesome in good hands, had a really good genji wrecking my pub group. Switched to the monkey, sent him cowering on the other side of the map.

So how close do you have to be to heal your team as Lucio? Does it work through walls? I'm not sure what you can do besides run around and skate on walls and amplify your songs when needed and shoot shit. Sometimes I feel like there could be more I could do.

Don't underestimate Lucio's damage. He's especially good against larger characters because you can easily land the entire 3 round burst.

I see that it says Attack and Defense, but is it on me to know what mode we are playing when first selecting my character? I guess you can always just switch once spawned in. Just did't know if I was missing something super obvious or if you just start to memorize it eventually.

I don't mean to sound like a dick, but tbh, I imagine some people will cringe at almost anything including themselves while looking at the mirror these days. 😶

Dva being the way she is isn't cringe worthy. Other characters in the game call her a "kid" and say this isn't a place for kids to her.

Yes. Game modes are tied to maps.
 
Don't underestimate Lucio's damage. He's especially good against larger characters because you can easily land the entire 3 round burst.

his speed helps him avoid ultimates which are prime opportunities to spam fire while characters like McCree, Pharah, and Hanzo are standing still during cast time. wall run/climb can also help him hassle Widowmakers.

Yep, only one mode per map.

Escort: Route 66, Watchpoint: Gibraltar, Dorado
Capture than escort: Numbani, King's Row, Hollywood
Two capture: Hanamura, Volskaya Industries, Temple of Anubis
King of the Hill: Nepal, Ilios, Lijiang Tower

And that was off the top of my head, so yeah, you learn what's up.

Yes. Maps are for certain game modes only.

Would a sabotage character be broken? A character that goes in and reconfigs turrets and traps? Like he can change Symmetra turrets, Torb turrets, Junkrat traps agaisnt them. Some kind of reconfig remote? He can have tells when he reconfigs something.

It would be funny if you reconfig a Torb turret and the Torb idiotically decides to super and it transforms but agaisnt them. Only way to deal with it is to destroy it and build a new one.

I hate this game...too addicting. Is it bad when you tell yourself, how about just 1 round before I head into the office?
Do you play solo mostly or with premades/friends?

If solo, just keep reminding yourself that the bad randoms and the game won't be going anywhere. They usually gets me off the game after some bad runs.

The character would have to be able to reconfigure from range; and what if the enemy had none of those heroes? Then the entire character is useless

the banter/chat with the heroes is pretty good. i usually don't pay attention but when i do it's good stuff.

Lucio and Reinhardt is too good.

"Reinhardt, we gotta get you some new tunes."

"What's wrong with the classics? I love Hasselhoff!"

Mercy and Winston is good too.

"Have their been any side-effects to your genetic therapy?"

"Other than a crippling addiction to peanut butter?"
 
That definitely just looks like your team was shit. I hate when this happens. I had gold with Lucio in damage done. That should never happen.

That may be in that particular game, but Zenyata is easily capable of taking top damage / elimination spots even if your team is not trash. The discord orb is no joke, also his left click is relatively easy to hit with.
 
I think the only Legendary skins I really want are Riverboat McCree, one of the mariachi Reapers, Thunderbird Pharah, and Undersea Winston. And really just Riverboat, because I play McCree a lot.

For all my other characters, I prefer one of the basic color swaps or just the default (in Tracer's case). Already have the Genji (Carbon Fiber), Widowmaker (Rose), and Soldier 76 (Smoke) that I'll probably always use.

Also, do you unlock stuff just for playing a hero a lot? I got a "free" Genji emote out of nowhere, and as far as I know emotes aren't tied to achievements the way the pixel/cute sprays are.

I can't personally confirm but other members have stated it a lot in the last OT and a few times in this one. I wouldn't be surprised to hear if someone here can personally confirm or confirm soon.

And I'm guessing they don't have the levels go on forever so you can get to a point where it is easy to get the loot again since it will be easier to level up again. Maybe it will be like PvZ where your level becomes represented in a special style afterwards. Not too sure.

edit: just looked it up and it appears that is incorrect. The levels keep going but the portrait color changes and starts over every 100 levels. The level itself does not rollover.

So the levels just keep going forever?
 
As soon as you jump in one of the 4 bastions will just destroy you while they are getting a mercy damage boost.

Oddly enough I haven't been seeing a lot of Bastions lately on that map; it's been mostly Torbjorn turret tucked behind a wall + Symmetra turrets hiding in corners + 4 other characters running defense on the previous two, which tends to be enough to shut most rando teams down. In general, though, I think doubling and tripling up on tanks would be a good idea in general to deal with a solid defense, but half the time there will still be Widowmakers plinking away at their defense as our team go down in flames.

Really, the problem with the Temple of Anubis map is the last spawn point for defense. Twice I've been playing Symmetra on defense on that map and earned my ult., and it's like "What's the point? Wherever I place the teleporter isn't going to be that much closer than where our team is spawning already."

It could be a secondary weapon like hammer. And yeah I guess people would see him on the enemy team and just switch out of characters directly weak to him.

A few buffs I think Zenyetta could use, without making him too OP

- Be able to place Orbs while charging up your right click (might be too powerful)
- Movement speed bonus when you control both of your orbs (they aren't placed on a teammate/enemy)

I don't believe so. DVa is my most played hero and I've only got 1 legendary (from purchase loot boxes), 1 PotG intro, and a couple of sprays (one of which is the pixel one).

Each hero has two achievements associated with them, each of which gives you one of their pixel/cute sprays.

But I saved up and bought Genji's little bow emote, only to later find his challenge emote also unlocked in my hero gallery. I definitely did not pay for it, and I don't remember seeing it pop in a box.

According to this threads OP:

At low levels, leveling up is quick. The amount of XP required to level up increases until you hit level 23, at which point it remains constant until you hit level 100. You will receive a new portrait frame every 10 levels. At level 100 you are “promoted,” which gives you a new portrait frame theme, resets your level, and resets the XP required to level up.

Not true since level 1 to 23 are faster again (Require the same exp as the first time). It's not just the potrait changing. It also means more loot boxes!
