Fuck you and the rest of your worthless family.
Death penalty "reform" in the form of making it quicker to process people? Fuck off you fucking fuck

This is actually probably a common viewpoint on here. I've seen many people argue that if it takes so long/is so costly, we should just make it nearly instant for heinous crimes.Death penalty "reform" in the form of making it quicker to process people? Fuck off you fucking fuck

Jeb's only increasing my schadenfreude that the nomination falls further from his grasp with each passing day.
On the other hand, I doubt that he's the only GOP candidate who holds views like this.
Sure, this is probably everyone running's position other than Carson and Rand and Pataki, but Jeb actually said it so I will hate him directly for now.
Corey would have some choice words for you if he were aroundSo it does say something. A country isn't an island (well....).
You can't just say it doesn't say something then in your explanation say exactly what it says: the world is interdependent and planned socialism as been attempted in many countries and failed.
They might have asked him for a statement on a subject painting him unfavorably, and he is merely employing the style of attack that has always served him so wellI've got to be honest here--Trump has nothing to gain by bringing it up and lying about this. I tend to believe him in this case.
C'mon.I've got to be honest here--Trump has nothing to gain by bringing it up and lying about this. I tend to believe him in this case.

Shouldn't Bernie be spending ad money on the states he's going to be decimated in due to his demographic deficits in an attempt to make up those differences. I swear, his campaign can't think more than one week ahead.

He has to win (probably will lose) Iowa and NH first.
As long as there's a few Starbucks to work out of they're good! Joke campaign.Trump’s campaign has been hard at work. It has three offices in the state. A fourth in Greenville is set to open next week. Across the street from the Myrtle Beach office, an old bank is undergoing renovations, scheduled for completion in two weeks, that will turn it into an event space for the campaign. Both properties are owned by Stuart Axelrod, a local DUI and personal injury lawyer who supports Trump.
Rubio has no offices in the state. Collins, his co-chair, cited frugality. “We're running a lean campaign,” he said. By contrast, the Bush campaign recently touted its opening of a fourth office in South Carolina as a sign of its seriousness in the state.
Ballentine said the Rubio campaign would eventually open just a single office, in Columbia. “Uber doesn’t own any taxis, but they’re the largest transportation company,” he said. “Amazon doesn’t own a lot of storefronts.”
C'mon.
His campaign people are probably getting trolled by someone.
Politico has a new article: Rubio and Trump's South Carolina showdown.
Sounds like a serious contest. But then...
As long as there's a few Starbucks to work out of they're good! Joke campaign.
Wow.But the zeal of Carsons supporters here can rival that of Trumps. About five percent of South Carolina Republican primary voters are home-schoolers, a subculture in which Carson is revered. Many evangelicals in the state display personalized portraits of Carson, made to look as if they were drawn in charcoal, on the walls of their homes.
The "lean and mean" spin from both Jeb and Rubio kills me. The establishment candidates dropped the ball so hard.I really think ground game could kill Rubio if he doesn't take it seriously.
Do Republicans really need a ground game? Unlike Democrats their people show up to vote.

I could understand Rubio wanting to keep spending low on organization now while his fundraising is subpar but the entire message his campaign team seems to be sending with their Starbucks/Uber/Amazon comments is that they think field operations are a thing of the past; old politics in his New American Century™.I really think ground game could kill Rubio if he doesn't take it seriously.
https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/po...mp/MTsDstkXYgYcXaq29MLQAN/story.html#commentsMeanwhile, Trump has spent nearly $1 million in the early states, eclipsing all of his rivals, particularly in New Hampshire, where he just opened two more campaign offices.
The numbers show that Trump is not relying just on his flashy media appearances and his surprising durability atop GOP polls. There is more to his campaign than his attention-grabbing statements, late-night tweets, and debate-stage braggadocio.
In Iowa, where Trump has hired Chuck Laudner, who ran Rick Santorum’s surprisingly successful 2012 campaign, captains are in place in all 1,800 Iowa precincts, according to Trump’s campaign, which is now working on getting second and third captains. That ground-level operation is needed to identify supporters and explain to them the complex caucus system, which requires them to show up at a local gym or community center Feb. 1 and convince their neighbors to get behind Trump.
“The Trump campaign is probably the best campaign in Iowa in terms of getting people to understand what caucusing is, what it requires, and how to do it,” said Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Iowa Republican Party who now runs the influential website the Iowa Republican. “They’ve been talking caucus, caucus, caucus for months now.”
They pass out cards to explain the process. They give speeches on how simple it is. They show up in unexpected places wearing Trump gear. They take names and phone numbers, and follow up.
“There’s all these new people tuned into a Republican primary because of Trump,” Robinson said. “If they can get them to actually engage in the caucus — or in the primary in New Hampshire — then they’ve got something. They’ve got something that could be very meaningful and difficult for his opponents to match.”
Has Last Week Tonight ever had a politician on as a guest?
I'm not sure I recall one being on and can't recognize any names from the past shows https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Last_Week_Tonight_with_John_Oliver_episodes
That isn't to say he couldn't have been invited, just their track record seems to be more focused elsewhere than politicians. They tend to have activists and specialists as opposed to something like The Daily Show where politicians and celebrities are more usual.
Amusingly, Trump is taking the ground game more seriously than all the "serious candidates":

Now the family is embroiled in a legal battle the Texas Supreme Court hears next week that could have broad implications on the nation's booming home-school ranks. The McIntyres are accused of failing to teach their children educational basics because they were waiting to be transported to heaven with the second coming of Jesus Christ.
But problems began when the dealership's co-owner and Michael's twin brother, Tracy, reported never seeing the children reading, working on math, using computers or doing much of anything educational except singing and playing instruments. He said he heard one of them say learning was unnecessary since "they were going to be raptured."

Wait, Trump has the biggest ground game?
I'm starting to feel like Trump has the nomination in the bag.
Any chance of Ben Carson's smartphone app adequately replacing a real campaign operation?
He's been seriously building his ground game since after the first debate. It's the reason I've been so sure he's going to win this thing, his ground game eclipses that of everyone else. He says crazy shit to stay in the news and uses the money he saves to build his ground game and grassroots efforts. It's really been a rather brilliant strategy.
It's still eclipsed by Hillary's ground game though, so don't worry too much.
Welcome to the classiest, most luxurious gold plated yacht in the fleet.
I seriously doubt it.
Seems like the only candidates on the GOP side who're taking GOTV seriously thus far are Trump, Bush, and Cruz. This was a big factor in my decision to stick with my Trump pick, honestly.

And RIP Senator Fred Thompson.
Wonder how HuffPo is gonna walk back their decision to shift Trump to entertainment should Trump continue to dominate.
Out of curiosity, how many former actors turned politicians became Republicans?
You have Jesse Ventura, Fred Thompson, Reagan, Ben Stein, etc.
Compared to Al Franken and Clay Aiken, lol
Moving him to Entertainment probably exposed him to more people who otherwise don't follow politics. :UWonder how HuffPo is gonna walk back their decision to shift Trump to entertainment should Trump continue to dominate.
