New Maryland Democrat poll:

Hillary 57
Bernie 26

The last poll from this pollster seems to have been a late January one showing Hillary at 41 and Bernie at 27; meaning a large amount of undecideds decided on Clinton. It also lines up with a late February poll that showed 58-28.

More southern red states going for Hillary smh

Holy shit at the ending.

BadLipReading is awesome when they form a narrative of some kind and not lip read randomly. I know it's way tougher to do, but when they do they are awesome; that was one of their best ones.
They even took it to the next level and somehow matched the expressions with that ending segment.

Maryland cant really be called southern anymore with the massive amount of transplants that move there for government or government contractor jobs.

Haven't posted in a few, but I did my caucusing.

My district in Kansas went Bernie by 40%, but she was dangerously close to the viability threshold in my precinct. And that precinct had more people than 2008. 2008 was ice and a foot of snow though.

Tons of fun, and I was thinking about going Bernie, until I saw the gulf of support in that precinct. Then I had to go Hill. We're talking a few percentage points away from that 15% viability threshold. I wanted to show just how liberal party loyalists in red states tend to be, but I didn't want Hillary shut out of delegates completely. So I told one of my friends who isn't exactly a stan of either, that given the margins I was seeing, Hillary was dangerously close to not getting anything from our precinct, and we shifted to the Hillside.

I think I disappointed my brother, but I told him "bro, all this does is affirm to me, that the future of the Dem party is in good hands." my precinct is tied to a community college town.

I had a ton of fun, started a chant of "Anyone but Trump!"

I'm not exactly great in crowds, but I love feeling that energy flow from the people. The idea that maybe, just maybe, they not only have a stake in the future, but also the ability to shape it.

Abraham Foxman is a racist garbage asshole, and like I give a fuck what a person who thought that the Soup Nazi episode trivialized the holocaust thinks is reminiscent of Hitler (spoiler: pretty much everything), but I can't lie, it's good to see the ADL (or ADL adjacent people) be on the right side of an issue for once.

You know, I don't think Trump expected to be going this authoritarian when he started out, but just going with the flow he ended up here and will continue to get pushed further in that direction.

I haven't seen the movie, but I'm always bothered when movies/tv shows do it (it seem super prevalent in sci-fi).
Like, the thing about racism is that it's bullshit, there is just one race, the human race, once you frame it in the context of different species, you implicitly accept the basic racist assumption.

Still not as bad as when the X-Men movies used mutants as a metaphor for civil rights and gays, but still...

I still have to see the movie, some quick research I did just now shows: "What ‘Zootopia’ has to say about the police, race relations, and diversity"
Which is a little different. I'm curious how they did it.

I've changed my mind, Ted Cruz is a strong candidate. Anyone who has the My Little Pony vote locked up is not to be messed with.

A bit unexpected, since marginalized and mocked internet communities are often Trump and Sanders territory. The MRA/#GG/Reddit/chan/white supremacist factions are right-wing, but on paper I'd have expected a regularly feminist and sometimes LGBT-affiliated fanbase to be more liberal.

Yep, agreed. I generally don't care for BadLipReading since most of the time it's just random gibberish. Yes, I'll get an occasional chuckle here and there, but it's not anything really clever.

But this Cruz clip is brilliant.

Now that I found that thread I find his selection to be mind-blowingly ironic. I'm extremely amused.

Was serious about a liberal-leaning on more progressive online niches, though. There's a lot politicians could learn after this cycle from some analysis of internet cultures and others who generally feel ignored by society. I'd have to label a troubled person seeking solace in My Little Pony as the absolute internet antithesis of... hmm... actually, I'm not going to complete this thought. Any answer would only result in trouble and be an even larger mass generalization than I'd prefer to make.

I love how the show has such horribly racist undertones under the endless layers of cute. Disclaimer: That part not to be mentioned to children.
