The law firm website was designed for a postage stamp:

http://www.digenovatoensing.com/

From the bios:

Joseph E. diGenova, founding partner, is a former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, former Chief Counsel and Staff Director of the U.S. Senate Rules Committee, former Independent Counsel, and former Special Counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Victoria Toensing, founding partner, is a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Justice Department, former Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee, and former Special Counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives. Toensing is an internationally known expert on white-collar crime, terrorism, national security, and intelligence matters.

Edit: This is perhaps the best counter to the bullshit transcript requests ever:

It is time to disclose these and all other documents related to this transaction, including your wife's Golden Parachute agreement, all communications your office had with Peopole's United Bank, and all communications with VEDA

This is not new, so I have to wonder why this was not used as a counter before at the debates.

1.) Either they know through some sources there is not much there.
2.) Or they did not feel the need to go that direction with her campaign.

Oh boy

I have a lot of respect for the Clinton campaign that they decided not to use this against Sanders. Ultimately they didn't want to hurt him in the general on the off chance he became the nominee.

This man has been treated like a prince, while Hillary has had to deal with insane bullshit from him and the Republicans at the same time.

Respect.

Hey jack_package, you going to make the thread, or can I?

Whoever makes it, just include a grain of salt. It just seems too good to be true for us Hillary supporters.

The people from the lawfirm have been interviewed on NPR a few times:

What if it's big time bullshit, huh?

Yeah, it's just... ugh.

Yeah, this shit is not new, and would have been the ultimate counter to the constant Transcript Requests.
So I have to wonder why...

Because she didn't need to go dirty? She's been winning since pretty much the beginning. If Sanders developed a serious lead, maybe you hit him with that, but you don't play your trump card when you're winning.

Wow, this letter is not screwing around. It goes after Bernie right where he lives -- it's accusing him of taking advantage of his political office, cheating the people of Vermont (who ultimately lose out in the bankruptcy), getting rich while bankrupting the company his wife was working for, and deliberately concealing evidence to that effect in his tax returns. To top it off it implies he worked to exempt Congress from FOIA so that he could get away with it and that he'd be willing to destroy evidence to continue doing so!

This is definitely the oppo dump kicking into high gear.
Well.. I suppose this is very establishment then hmm.

For what it's worth, it was reported on CNN very recently that Clinton and Warren now communicate "frequently," especially when it comes to the topic of how to fight Trump. I found this bit of info very interesting.

I'd like to hear more from the other potential VP candidates (c'mon, Kaine - attack Trump already!), but I'm pretty much at the point where I'm comfortable with a Warren pick, especially if the Massachusetts Dems can find someone capable of winning a special Senate election in Spring 2017.

I guess...
It's just the lack of her attacking him on anything but policy, and the media not doing it's job has led to a sizeable group of people thinking Sanders is this ultra clean politician. And allowed his DNC is corrupt line of attack to resonate with so many people. Perhaps it was a mistake to run such a clean campaign.

The total reluctance to release his tax returns lends some credibility to this whole story.

Agreed, I am good with Warren too. Pacifiers the left liberals, distracts Trump from Clinton, two women vs two men.

Would have really loved if dems had some strong Latino/Hispanic women in contention.

Also Warren is just a 100x better Bernie.

No it was the right cal. Clinton's behaviour is examined daily with a high powered microscope.

She'd get such shit for being negative, I mean people give her shit for being in favour of something good, imagine if she ran negative.

What hasn't happened is as you said the media vetting. Which is disappointing.

And I choose Pikachu

I choose to stay out of it until someone like Josh Marshall calls some people in the know to see what this is actually about.
I'm done speculating for now ;)

That, and one of Hillary's key weaknesses among winnable voters seems to be this vague concern that she's too cozy with "special interests," so the selection of Warren (with her reputation being pretty sterling in this arena) could offer a bit of comfort on this matter.

I think voters in the middle are pretty comfortable with Hillary are far as ideology is concerned, so this might be a situation where an "ethics" pick fits the bill.

She got shit on for declaring that she would win.

With the lead she currently has.

Because you don't hit that hard when you're in a fight that you're running away with as easily as she has been. She'd look like a bully if she hit him as hard as she hit Obama.

Ironically I have seen people claim she is bullying Bernie...

That's just the Bernie crowd who didn't pay attention to, or weren't old enough to experience, 2008. She threw hands in that primary. Funnily enough I've seen people who would argue that she's a much better campaigner when she's running from behind in terms of authenticity since she's able to cut lose more.

I always suspected Sanders had some things to hide financially, all the politicians or rich people do really, but I'm not sure this thing is going to stick. Sounds like old news, and people will give a pass to Bernie on this because if a big shot lawfirm that specializes in white collar crime and terrorism goes after him instead of the real big fish, then people will see it as another proof that things are rigged.
