I'm a certified Sorkin hater, but even I think this goes too far.
I will say this though, it didn't piss me off as much as The West Wing.

Feel like most of his stuff is great.

He tried a new West Wing.

It was called The Newsroom.

And it was awful, pretentious, preachy crap. So basically Sorkin with nobody to reel him in.

Sorkin is great but his style becomes overbearing and grating the more you watch his stuff. I can only watch the same speech, the same jokes, and the same characters repackaged in mock-espn form, the west wing, mock-snl, and mock-msnbc.

I strongly disagree. The writer has been doing these for months, they are developed characters at this point. It's like criticizing Chevy Chase's Ford by arguing that Ford never fell into a Christmas tree.

Everything isn't for everybody, but I think his work is easily the best comic work of this cycle. The speed that he puts these out and their quality is fucking unreal.
