Sean Hannity going off on GOP leaders for not fully supporting Drumpf.

tumblr_mrphp50vna1qdlh1io1_400.gif

Eh, fuck you Hannity. Extreme GOP obstructionism for 8 years wasn't enough? "Radical agenda"? They should support Trump, why, cause he technically belongs to the same party, even though he offends all their sensibilities with everything he does and says?

Hannity is one of the most despicable people on television.

Do you guys think Coloradocare has a chance of passing? That's the most important thing on a state ballot IMO, over even rec marijuana in CA.

From what I can gather it's "close", at least I think it is. Someone else might have a better take on it.

I'm mostly there with supporting it, but I haven't dismissed opposing arguments.

It will be awesome if it happened again, but it's unlikely to happen unless Hilary somewhow manages to win Texas in this election.
Yeah, the best case scenario for Clinton (while still being on the same planet in terms of probability) still comes in at under 400 EVs. 2012 + NC, AZ, IN, MO, GA comes to 395. Throw an extra vote in there for Nebraska's 2nd district.

Utah puts her at 402. Texas from there goes to 440. Would love to hit that because it means Trump is at 98. Couldn't even scrape together 100 EVs.

The "Drumpf" is kind of shitty to be honest. It is somewhat racist and something liberals should be above.

I don't love the "Drumpf" thing because it seems kind of lame.

But on a related subject I have always loathed seeing liberals going out of their way to call Bobby Jindal "Piyush". Yes, it's his given name, but it seems gross to deliberately try to other him by reminding everyone of his ethnicity when he has a different professional name he prefers using. Reminded me way too much of right-wingers going out of their way to say Barack HUSSEIN Obama.

Wait.

How does Maine have a pro-Trump, Republican Govenor?

Fucking midterms.

LePage is looney toons. Just look at his attempted veto of the 2015 state budget; he put out a veto message filled with pictures of crying babies and mugshots of drug dealers.

Hope they shift money to Georgia and Utah.

Missouri and maybe SC to since according to the polls it looks kinda close there right now.Like the average of the polls are showing clinton behind trump in SC like under 5 points right now.

I always thought that doing so (like I've heard some liberals do with Rafael Cruz) is out of a contempt that they believe these folks are changing their names as a way to present themselves as "real Americans," as if dudes named Piyush and Rafael are thus not real Americans. Stuff like the whitewashed Jindal portrait only bolsters their arguments.

Not that this makes it any better. "Call people what they'd like to be called" is a pretty simple rule of basic human kindness to follow, though I've had to (re) learn this rule myself and am not totally innocent here.

EDIT: Is SC like MS in that both of them are relatively close because of black D voters, but there is virtually no crossover vote at all, so they're pretty much safe R states?

I always get frustrated when Hillary is generally called a weak candidate. I mean, yeah, she has a lot of baggage. But she's been through a lot and almost always came out on top. She got beat by a generational politician. Yes, Trump is awful, but polls show that even Obama wouldn't blow him out. And this is President Obama from the White House with a 50%+ approval, not candidate Obama on the trail.

I get the issues people have with her. I even respect their opinions. But do not take anything away. She has fought, built and won her way to here. And if she wins, it will be her victory.

SC isn't impossible, but by the time it turns blue, Georgia, Arizona and Missouri would have done so by then, so it would be more of a bonus.

Getting SC and Utah would put her over 400 EVs, which would be awesome of course.

I actually haven't looked into it that much yet.

Last time I looked into our budget, it was already somewhat of a mess. I need to do some more research into this pension system we have called Para which seems to suck in a large percentage of the income tax we collect.

I don't want to say too much more since I honestly haven't looked into it as much as I should have.

Because Maine politics used to be the gold-standard of non-partisan elections. Because of increasingly polarizing politics, our frequent three-way elections are now easy wins for conservatives. While all the progressive people vote for two candidates, all the others vote for one.

Paul LePage was elected Governer twice this way. 61% of the state of Maine didn't vote for Paul LePage in 2012, but he won.

He is entirely at odds with the state and its population and everybody hates him and wishes he would walk back to the ocean and resume his life as sea slime. He is a humiliation to our state. He accomplishes nothing in his joke of a tenure (twice now). That's our only consolation. We have been begging him to resign for basically ever.

LePage is looney toons. Just look at his attempted veto of the 2015 state budget; he put out a veto message filled with pictures of crying babies and mugshots of drug dealers.

Democracy was a mistake.

"If you had some guns on the other side of the equation," Trump says of Nice. "You wouldn't have had the tragedy that you had."

It was a truck. That wound up with a ton of bullet holes in it.

In the last election obama lost in SC by like 10 points. He was really strong in areas of the state were black voters lived, but it was not enough to overcome Romney. If the race is around or under 5 points there right now she must be getting a lot of women and other demographics there that romney won in 2012. to vote for her over trump.

(people only call Hillary a weak candidate in response to the overwhelming expectation starting in 2008 right up through to today that she'll eventually be President, as if it were ordained)

Cartoon beat me to it - that video is fantastic.

So.
Much.
Firepower.

I'm still in awe at how well-executed it was, how strong a lineup the Dems had..

We've generally tried to poll Trump voters on all the wild things he says to see if they agree, but there's too much this week to fit it all

How is it racist?

Because it is mocking Trump by mocking the legitimate last name of his German (I think?) grandfather/great-grandfather for being "ethnic" (weird sounding to your average English speaking American). Like there are so many ways to hit Trump, why choose that way? It's the same mentality that leads to denying a qualified person for a job just because they have a "unusual" name. My real name is distinctly African and I'd be annoyed if people were throwing me shade just because of my name.

I don't love the "Drumpf" thing because it seems kind of lame.

But on a related subject I have always loathed seeing liberals going out of their way to call Bobby Jindal "Piyush". It depends on who is saying it. The few times I've seen people call out Bobby as "Piyush", its usually been people of color who are annoyed/upset that it seems like he is trying to run away from his heritage/ethnicity. As already mentioned, that white-washed portrait of him he seems proud of doesn't help those optics. You see something similar in the Black community when people are accused of trying to be "NuBlack" - Black people who are often successful and then go on about how they "no longer see race", "racism is dead", "I'm not African-American I'm just American", "pull up your bootstraps", etc. Basically they forgot or are pretending not to remember who they are, where they came from and ignore or downplay the struggles other people of color still have to deal with to earn favor from white people. That understandably pisses off people of color who then try to "remind" said people "who they are" per such language. I agree that its disrespectful and people should be called by want they want to be called. I can't fault people of color who feel angry at some of these people though. "Uncle Tom" is a charged term but as a Black man I feel comfortable using it against people of my own race who I feel are particularly ignorant of racial issues and seem keen on betraying "our interests" to sell out to white people.

People who highlight Bobby's previous name just in an attempt to other him or mock him for his ethnicity I can't condone though. That's just stupid racist shit.

Trump gets people silently holding up pocket constitutions and they get booed and escorted out.

Hillary gets...PETA? And gets to throw out a crack about the Trump kids killing animals as the secret service protects her.
