I can't watch the stream because I am a plebian American I guess, but an audio-only Katy Perry live stream is really not doing any justice to her...artistry

I really like Shades of Cool. Or maybe I think it's good because West Coast is so boring.
Either way I don't think this album is going to be as good as her previous work, I'd like to be wrong though.

Once again Vazduh and Never Forever keep slaying the recommendations. The inclusion of Baths's "Ocean Death" on the POPGAF playlist has made me check out the rest of his work and it's dope. Thanks sistren *.*

I think when the dust settles and the hype dies down a bit I'll probably rank them Paradise > Ultraviolence > Born To Die

Paradise really is without a blemish, I love it so much I doubt she'll ever top it

Tyvm for your educational responses gworlz. Maybe I'll read some old OTs for a History lesson if I ever need a break from the Soviets... and one era was even so messy that it got deleted, my my.

They actually are tho. I remember voting for Nuhdeen every week.

My god, how time flies. Everyone was so pissed when Sarah got in and Javine didn't. My god, I didn't even use the word pissed back then. Because I was like, 6 years old. Fuck. I am so old.

Sound of the Underground hasn't aged a day, and they're really the only good thing to ever come out of one of these talent shows (apart from Owl Eyes I guess. And Kelly Clarkson, maybe

). Easily the best girl group of the 00s. I adore Haim, but hopefully their sophomore album will live up to Days Are Gone's greatness because otherwise...

I need to go listen to Ten. Shades of Cool can wait.

I like Shades of Cool :(

Hopefully the Nina Simone cover will be a good reinterpretation, I'm cautiously optimistic.

I skip Just Dance every time it comes on.

Actually, The Fame Monster is the only thing of Gaga's I can listen to the whole way through without making faces. Poor girl seems to love having too much bloat in her albums as a result of some misguided 'artistic vision' or whatever it is she says, I don't pay attention. An EP is about right to get the good stuff in.

It's amusing that Telephone actually sounds quite original considering the nature of the two vocalists.

Technically, Beyoncé is very impressive. I have nothing but respect for her ability and artistry. Freakum Dress and Green Light are legendary tracks that all girls can take notes from.

Beyoncé really was a very good album and you can actually distance it from the hype because it does well on its own terms. It's not quite B'Day tho. B'Day is amaaaaazing.

Then, idk. DiL has the flawless triple punch of Crazy in Love, Naughty Girl and Baby Boy, and then it sort of rises and falls. I Am... has Sweet Dreams and Halo so frankly that's worth the price of an entire album by itself. I've never been able to get into 4.

Can I compliment Beyoncé and still be a member of the #NVAY?
Because frankly B'Day > any of Rihanna's studio albums

Oh.

I agree that B'Day is great, but her self titled takes it away for me. B'Day ultimately isn't as bold, important, or indicative of Beyoncé's talent as BEYONCÉ is.

Not my two favorite tracks from B'Day. ;____;

Flawless taste.

I'm listening to Mariah's album rn and she sounds kinda dire, even though the songs aren't bad. I'm sure I've heard better vocals on a The Lord album.

BEYONCÉ>>>>>>>>>> Any Rihanna album.

It's true :(

I like Rated R more but objectively BEYONCÉ is better.

Talk That Talk shits on BEYONCE.

LOUD shits on BEYONCE

If Rihanna made a Jessica Simpson cover album it would also shit on BEYONCE

4 is a better display of Beyonce's talents as a vocalist than BEYONCE is.

I think 4 is her worst album, and even I can admit that.

BEYONCE is Bey at her most trend-chasing and "inspired by Youtube". Granted, you could also say this about B'Day, but Bey had more fun with it back then.

Exactly.

Beyonce was 100% inspired by Rihanna, her previous two eras. She just took TTT and Unap and mixed them together and called it an alber.
