Is Forza Horizon 5’s price too high? While approximately 40% of you said so in our Push Square poll, it’s certainly not hurting pre-orders of the PS5 port, which is due out on 29th April.

A quick look at the PS Store shows Playground Games’ open world racer right at the top of the pre-order charts all around the world.

In the UK, the Premium Edition – which includes Early Access and all DLC – is in first place, while the Standard Edition is in third and Deluxe Edition is in eighth. It’s trending ahead of huge upcoming games like Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

The US follows a similar order, with the Premium Edition in third position, Standard Edition in fourth position, and Deluxe Edition in 13th.

Look at the PS Store all around Europe and you’ll see similar trends, with the game occupying the top spot in countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and more.

To be fair, the pre-orders only went live earlier this week, so this flurry of activity may be reflecting that. However, we expect this game to sell outstandingly well to the core PlayStation fanbase, particularly in Europe. It’s just a shame there’s no physical release planned.

Making me want to buy it. I swear Microsoft doesn't discount their first party stuff much on Steam to drive GamePass subs. Not gonna happen boys. But historically speaking, trying to think if we can expect a full sale before the Spring/Easter sale...

Thank you, but no thank you

Halo Infinite multiplayer is absolutely on point for a Halo game it just needs a few more million players.

Drop the MCC first but thanks.

It's already charting in overall best sellers list in dozens of countries, I revise my numbers for 5 million+ easy on an old game.

Probably not as much as Sony though. It's free money for them. MS would have loved for this to happen on their own platform and not have to pay Sony a cut...
Nahhh….. it’s MS’s game. They are taking in cash from Xbox, pc, and now ps5 and soon switch. Mo money mo money mo money.

Fixed that for you.
Of course their gonna make money. My point is they're giving away 30% of that for free, simply because their own platform failed.

The truth of the matter though is everyone wins...... except Xbox console diehards.

Microsoft's shills are all over the FH5 there, pushing the typical anti-exclusivity narrative because that's all they're programmed to do. As if Sony and Nintendo wouldn't have data from their own 1P or multiplat titles to decide what's best for their platforms, rather than needing to rely on a 3P Microsoft.

This poster just made their account last month, and have only 15 posts. If you could search their post history as a non-member, I'm sure you'd likely find them saying similar things in other relevant threads. Or probably even the same single thread. Just tired of these fake people contaminating discourse online just to push their own agendas, they aren't gamers.

Like imagine the gall thinking you can tell Nintendo their racing games aren't big enough. Didn't Mario Kart Wii sell like 40-something million? I'm sure MK between Wii U and Switch has done at least 20+ million.

They don't need to "take cues" from Forza or Microsoft and, quite frankly, neither does SIE; GT7's already over 10 million and it's done wonders bolstering PS5's profile as a platform to buy into, as an exclusive. And that's something it'd of been much less effective at if it were on PC or other consoles. This is nothing but facts.

A proper racing game. It's better than GT7.

*runs away*

They're two very different types of racing games.

Believe it or not a lot of people prefer simulators!

It’s the game of the generation so far. It carried the first 2 years.

Xbox's generation, yes.

First two years of Xbox Series X/S, yes.

Outside of that, not remotely accurate.
