Hard to say. Anyone that buys a Pro Classic can make 2-3x (maybe more) their money back if they resell it. No reason not to get it unless you can't afford the upfront cost.

Those who are in on the 30th Anniversary edition already know it will be expensive. Price is of no concern to these folks. There are only 12k of these made and the allotments are disturbed across dozens of countries. These will go quick.

PS Direct is probably the best way to try to get one since you need to have an active PSN account and you can only buy one.

I don't believe this for a second, especially for the 30th anniversary edition.
Which you'll have to do, as in my experience if you leave the Playstation direct website sitting idle for too long it logs you out. I wonder how that will work with a potential queuing system? Once you're placed in the queue will the site keep you logged-in indefinitely? As obviously refreshing could lose your position in the queue? I wasn't around for past releases that used the queuing system so have absolutely no clue.

They do a pre-authorization at time of pre-order. The amount drops after a few business days (depending on your Bank). Then, they re-charge it permanently a day or two before it ships.

I think just having an account that's been around for a 1+ years would have been good enough. I don't think you can ship more than 1 console to the same address either though.

Maybe I am biased but for LE items there should be a weighted system in place the longer your account has been active and number of trophies especially plats you have

Getting the 30th Anniv. Pro is tempting. But if I did get one I’d probably put it up on eBay. I’d be no better than the scalpers.

Planning on getting a reg PS5 pro and 2 anniversary controllers. But hoping they limit everything to one per customer so more people get get a chance to get something.

If you scalp it right away you're a fool. Check how much those 20th Anniversary PS4's are worth on eBay today, 10 years laterGetting the 30th Anniv. Pro is tempting. But if I did get one I’d probably put it up on eBay. I’d be no better than the scalpers.

My buddy from Gamestop didn't think the regular pros stock would be a problem
And $1200 is about what I expected for the bundle and thought they might even push it higher.
They could have charged $1500 and it would still sell out in seconds
