Saw someone on NYC subway playing Switch. The Switch has made it.

I have seen it about 3 to 4 times on the Toronto subway. I am too scared to do it myself.

I saw a woman recently dressed in all black and gold. She pulled out a GBA SP that was also in all black and gold and proceeded to play a Mario game on it. That was stylish as fuck.

I haven't seen anyone using a Switch here. Which makes sense, buying it locally is expensive as hell, and using it in public would probably end with the console being stolen.

I wouldn't use mine outside. Almost got my 3DS stolen in the bus once, no way I'm risking the Switch.

I've actually seen many PSPs and multiple Vitas being played on the NYC subway over the years. Of course I have also seen many 3DS. You aren't looking around...

Now that I'm in SF, I have seen Switches on BART a total of 4 times. Plenty of 3DS action too.

Yo, why that? I play on the train all the time and also did with my 2DS

I've seen people playing pretty much every handheld system on public transport, and I'm not even in NYC. How have you never seen this before?

Was this the girl?

Saw a guy play Switch the other day in the same train, sat right next to him, saw he was playing Mario Kart, I pulled out my Switch and asked if he wants to play a round or two.

He packed his Switch in his bag, stood up and went away. Saw him sitting on the stairs when I left the train, still playing Mario Kart. :(
Now this is thread worthy.

Also, "we readily agreed that having weapons break after 1 hit was totally the right way to go, and we hoped every other game incorporated that mechanic going forward."

what the actual fuck, this story is clearly fake

I see handhelds on Montreal transit all the time. =/

I have a similar story, but with a cool happy ending. I was waiting for the bus, and there was a woman waiting next to me. As the bus arrives, she pulls her Vita out of her pocket.

I, in response, pulled my Vita out of my pocket. I sit on the bus, she sits next to me. She's playing Persona 4, I'm playing Super Time Force Ultra. After a few awkward minutes she says "So what games you got?"

So now we start talking and showing each other what games we have installed on our Vitas. She asks me if I played Arkham Origins Blackgate mentioning that she worked on it a bit.

I tell her I played Arkham Origins but not Blackgate, and she told me she worked as a programmer on Origins. She's a dev at WB. Super cool trip, I even stayed on for a few extra stops to keep talking with her. =)

I have played mine on National Rail and Eurostar a few times, but it's not really worth taking on the Northern line for the 15 mins I spend on it (probably standing) each way.

Never saw anyone play Switch on my commute yet :( (outside of seeing my reflection in the window). I've had tons of rubbernecking and girls squeeing when I whipped it out though.

Are you still talking about your Switch or your "average gaffer"-sized equipment?

ALready saw people twice playing the Switch, one at a store waiting for his wife/gf to finish with trying on clothes and on the subway in Toronto.

I see them all the time. Even one loser friend of mine brought his with him when we went bar hopping

If he's a loser for bringing a system along, does that make you a loser for shitposting about him in a gaming forum behind his back?

Just fear of someone wanting to take away my new shiny toy. It's probably unwarranted. I saw two little kids playing Switch on the subway. One was holding the screen while the other used the joycon.

Underrated post. I could totally imagine this happening to me.

I've seen a switch in the subway 6 different times by now. I bet I'll see it a lot more once there are more games our there. Every time they were playing Zelda. I wasn't surprised, once sat next to 3 guys playing mvc3 on vita, 2 against each other and the third against the CPU warming up.

I played majority of Pokemon sun on my morning and afternoon commute.

He browses here too. I even told him he's a loser lmao

Went from Brisbane to Sydney last week and literally saw 3 guys with a Switch waiting for their planes, plus 2 guys with Switches inside mine.

Nintendo really did it again.

I play my switch all the time on the subway. That's 90 percent of the reason I got it day 1.

That said, I've only seen 1 other person play it, but to be fair they did the notice me sitting across from them also playing so it's possible I didn't see other people.

I was visiting San Francisco last month and was also taken by surprise when I saw this group of guys walking down Market St. and one of them had earphones on and he was playing Switch.

i play the switch on the subway without the joycon.

I found it to be great on the portability side without them..

And voez is too much addicting

See on average one a day in each direction on the Sounder (Seattle commuter train). Haven't had the guts to take mine out of the house yet.

at least it wasn't a girl

When I last went to Tokyo I heard someone playing Zelda BOTW on the plane.
I knew exactly who it was , it was the chunky guy with cargo shorts, big walking boots and a destiny T-Shitt. He also had shiny black died hair on a ponytail.

About 30% of the westerners in Tokyo look like this.
When was that if i may ask :)?

That sucks. You were probably having visions of playing impromptu games of MK8 in the park or on a rooftop.
