Sony owns the IP, and Japan Studio co-developed the game. Also, Bloodborne isn't first party company either.
I'm not trying to prove anything, I'm discussing. And TLOU2 on PC few months from now is also possible.
And that's how Nintendo wins
TOBYHANNA MAN STRIKES AGAINSony just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase PS5, nor will they purchase any of Sony's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Sony has alienated an entire market with this move.
Sony, publicly apologize and cancel any planned port for PC or you can kiss your business goodbye.
But big AAA development will continue to get more expensive and Sony will have to pull money out of their ass?No, not at all. This isn't an argument.
Because Sony studios aren't starving for funding. Games will probably get more lazy further down the line.
LOL more like this thread about game-starved PS haters salivating at our sloppy seconds.
People are overlooking this part:
You don't achieve that with just "old PS4 games".
They'll be launching PS5 games on PC as well. It might not be day and date at first but the gap between console release and PC release is going to shrink.
Thankfully not all footsteps...Sounds like they are following in MS' footsteps.
It'll be funny, I hope the rest of the ports are as bad as horizon's was.
Already winning right now
Slowly but sure its chasing PS4
Next nintendo system could potentially beat PS5
Microsoft releases Xbox games on pc: Microsoft are leaving console business and puts their shitty low selling games on pc.
Sony releases majority of games on pc: wow such passion and pro consumer.
It was one of the best selling games of 2019? You are talking out your assThey should port DAYS GONE since it didnt sold well on the system. It will be an easy port considering ue4.
Exclusive footage from Sony HQ in Japan:Sony just shot themselves in the foot.

It says they will explore it. That's all. They haven't announced any other game aside from HZD and none of the new games are even being hinted at.
If I were Sony I would port PS4 games. Let them get a second lease. It won't affect their PS5 business.
Also multiplayer focused games should be PS5/PC to have bigger userbase.
I know about those, but it's still compressed. HDMI 2.1 is 48Gbps vs 32.4Gbps on DP 1.4. It's good for the meanwhile anyway. If you prefer PC gaming, then good for you.
Sony's 1st party games have legs well into the ~3 year mark, enough legs to shift entire consoles. They not going to lose that golden goose, it would be extremely poor business acumen. Any 1st party games that make the jump over to PC are going to be in the +3 year ball park. Just my take on it.That's not how this went down. The developers didn't know they was going to port to PC. Sony got new management and it was right around that time that rumors started spewing about PC ports for exclusives. These PS4 game developers had no clue they would be porting to the PC when they first started developing the games. This came much later and all the studios were probably informed. My contact tried to give me as little information as possible but when that rumor of HZD came out he was very clear in saying "there will be more". I'm sure all the studios had mass meetings about it.
Day one releases on PC - doesn't sound like it.Sounds like they are following in MS' footsteps.
Bloodborne on on PC with unlocked fps (if that's possible) would be amazing, though I'd also like a PS5 release as I don't own a controller for my PC.It was mentioned ages ago already. Multiplayer games most certainly day and date on PC and console.
Single player games are rolled out to PC later on.
I'm guessing Bloodborne for PC is getting announced soon.
You've been saying this for a while now. You'd imagine that would ease the wounds a bit, yet here we are... Wonder if they will try to complete with Gamepass since it's so successful. Win=win for people with pc's.Yup. Glad my insider claims were finally confirmed. I guess we can close that chapter.
That sounds great. I'll still be playing their games on consoles, but the more people that can access their games the better.
Was gonna say. Can a mod edit the title? In a massive corporate statement they have one sentence saying they will explore PC releases. And that sentence is following a sentence saying they want people to choose the playstation platform.Exploring doesn't mean all their games and day one. "Confirmed" lol. Horizon Is already on PC. You know......a sloppy ported title that's being used to get you to buy a PS5.
I so love that PC gamers are having this new found obsession with Sony games. Turns out the m@s$(er r$ce was consoles all along
Anyone who thought otherwise was in denial. Both Sony and Microsoft are moving to a platform model. They both have same destination but different paths to get there dependent on their respective strengths/weaknesses. Suspect that Sony will be partnering with EGS for the PC storefront.
There will be a time when both Xbox/Sony games will launch on PC, streaming, and their respective Console via Game Pass/PS Now day 1.
The only one I would care about is God Of War.
At the release of the port they had a blog post saying "and after HZD come check out forbidden west". Its really a good way to market future titles.Bringing a decade old game to PC only to get extra money to increase the fund for the sequel game that Will be on the other level and make PC gamers salivating for It and considering getting a PS5.
SONY always wins in the end.
Lol we know you hate playstation already
Imagine being upset that your favorite console manufacturer is making more money. There's no need to be upset, Sony fans, business is all about revenue and profit growth.
Yeah. The statement follows a paragraph that ends saying they want playsation to be the platform of choice through IP content. It also says "exploring" following the release of 1 badly recieved port.I wouldn't get too excited, it probably means the less successful titles and maybe older titles in a franchise....
I would also get ready to hear they are buying some big studios.... Kadokawa is a target since they are expanding Funimation and want to dominate anime, so From Soft would come with that.
Then you'd be waiting 5-7 years till the end of generation for a port if they decide to do one.
With companies like Warner Interactive going towards GAAS and less and less companies doing AAA narrative driven games, the entire industry seems to lean more and more on PlayStation to provide all the high quality content.
That's why PS5 is there, it will not be on PC. They are busy working on the sequel...Ive owned every single Playstation and have already played GOW on my Pro. I sure have given them alot of money for something I hate. With that being said gaming at 30fps is not impressive. So GOW is trapped and needs to be freed.
When the biggest exclusives start getting systematically released day one on PSNow and PC, you can go ahead.
