I don't know if Sony would have anything ready for 2024. Well...any single-player stuff at least. And that's fine by me, I rather they come when they are ready than come in hot. it's not like we aren't still getting some decent games.I agree. I think a lot of Sony fans just expect to get what we have been getting from the ecosystem we invested in. I don't subscribe to this "haven't done shit" nonsense. This generation started like gangbusters, imo, and the games you listed prove it. If we get more like that going forward then I'll have no complaints, even if it is alongside all these live service games. My concern at this point is 2024. Will Sony have any games ready for next year? Hopefully after Spider-man 2 is launched, Sony can catch up on the PR work that they have seemingly fallen far behind on, not that they were ever really good at it.
As for the whole GAAS stuff and this idea that Sony is somehow shifting focus from what works, that's something I just don't agree with. Simply because to me, I feel they aren't substituting their traditional output with GAAS but rather just adding GAAS to their traditional stuff. And the proof of this is that none of the studios that traditionally make the `Sony` games we all know and love, are now somehow making a live service game.
