Woohoo, finally got my shipping notice. Will arrive Wednesday. I think I'll hold off on finishing Dead Space 2 and wait for it. Seems like a good game to test the controller out.

The TLDR I called in yesterday to ask them about the order and they said my order got "stuck" in their ordering software because ??? and they couldn't process it now (I guess because it was obviously past the cutoff for the early Oct 16th release date). Now, why they didn't tell me my order was "stuck" anytime between June 4th and yesterday without my questioning them is anyones guess... I'm assuming it's because they are a incompetent as a whole, but that's just my guess.
Did you receive an order invoice from Gamestop? (not talking about the paypal receipt).
They said the only compensation available to me would be a $10-off coupon for my NEXT order and they would give me 1-day shipping if I placed another preorder for the November 10th date.... which is when it releases anyways, thus making a preorder completely pointless and completely disregarding the fact that I preordered early to get the Oct 16th release.
Pretty shitty situation tbph.

Got the email saying my Steam Link and Steam controller will arrive on Wednesday.
Curious to see how many aging gaming PC handles it.
With that said I do plan on building a new PC for VR, so I am really planning on using it when that day arrives, which will be sometime next year.
But I will no doubt check it out on Wednesday.

You might want to give them a call to be sure everything is in place; they'll ask for your Invoice ID #.

Just checked, I reserved mine on the 4th, just got the email this morning at around noon it was preparing for shipping, so just going off the numbers I think you still may have some time to get the email saying it is shipping.Nothing else beyond the order confirmation email.
Now i'm worried

The order never processed completely on their end, in their software. While I received a confirmation from paypal after the purchase, like any other purchase, it never went completely through on Gamestops end.
The person on the phone said that my order was on record, he saw the transaction by looking up my invoice ID. From there, he was unable to reprocess that order and my only other option was to reorder apparently... thus making it a completely new preorder.

It initially said it would be here Tuesday, but it didn't actually ship until just today apparently.
