Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Woof.

EUIV prices fluctuating.

I'll wait a bit before complaining in case it's still updating, but I was hoping some of the older DLC would be 75% off. I've had EU4 since launch, but never played more than a couple hours because I got too caught up in CK2. Now I feel with all the patches and changes the vanilla game would be insane without at least a couple of DLC packs.

Edit: And just like that, a bunch go to 75% off. Any EU4 players want to give me a heads up on the most important/useful? I like playing merchant republics in CK2.

Dat Fallout 4 tax.

New Vegas is always $4.99 for the ultimate edition and now it's $6.79. I have the base game but needed the DLC for mods, but at this point I have enough to play until Fallout 4. I've already put 100 hours into New Vegas on PS3 anyway.

I think both of these publishers are pretty sure they can ride the wave of hype to get more money, and that people will eventually break down and accept it.
Judging by SteamSpy that is not working out. Having it at a daily without an additional discount would make a huge difference.

Whats with these bare minimum discounts.

66% for Fallout 3 GOTY when it has been 75% so many times before? I should of gotten it during that time -_-.

Not a good idea to determine the sales until a bit after they're posted. KF2 changed to 20% off. This sale has been pretty bad in updating the daily/flash deal prices when they've been posted. Not saying that all games do get changed. Some of the valve titles among others have just been featured without additional discounts.

Yeah my bad, a lot of those prices have updated. KF2 at 20% off looks good, although Enhanced Steam is telling me it's cheaper on GMG with a coupon. Stanley Parable looks like an instabuy. I need to see if there's anything else that I wanna grab.

Welp, guess I'm waiting until Christmas Sale for Dark Souls 2 then, unless there's a random weekend sale, which they have had before.

I'm guessing Revelations 2 Complete Season is worth $16.74. I still haven't finished Revelations 1 though. Need to start that back up, it was pretty good.

So does this mean that Scholar of the First Sin simply wont be any cheaper than it is now? I'm ok with getting it at this price, I just wanted to make sure.

the fallout 3 page says it's not optimised for windows 7 and later. should i just buy new vegas? i already played a good chunk of 3 on ps3. never really got into NV though so would like to play it in the run up to 4.

I want Saints Row IV, but this isn't any cheaper than the last few sales (plus it's been cheaper on GMG with the 20% coupon), so I'll hold off.

Think I'm gonna bite on Just Cause 2 and Stanley Parable, and then that'll probably be it during the sale. Everything else that's high on my wishlist I've either bought or am going to hold out for a deeper discount.

There are no more deals to unlock in the Monster Summer Game, so that must mean tomorrow is an encore day, right?

Yea, it looks like Saturday and Sunday will be encore days. I held off on a couple deals waiting to see what else would come around, so hopefully those deals reappear.

Looks like the first game I will get in this sale is The Stanley Parable.

Edit: Second one is Goat Simulator. Always wanted to be a Goat.

Yup.

Not freaking out or anything, 'cause I know it takes a few minutes for discounts to settle into their finalized state.

Not expecting the just-released Common Sense DLC to drop but was hoping El Dorado would hit -75%. I've got everything else.

Got Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and Age of Empires II HD. I think I'll get Grim Dawn when it goes out of Early Access, even if I've been meaning to buy it ever since this sale started.

Those two games and The Talos Principle have been my only purchases so far. Not complaining, though :)

People should buy and play trails in the sky, emphasis on play it.

Am I able to play it 100% fully with a controller from my couch? I know it says 'partial' support but that can mean a lot of things...from initial setup only to mid game use etc in my experience.

Thanks.

I'm honestly waiting until 1AM tonight to see if there are any more flash deals. If there aren't I'm buying the few things I've been sitting on and done with sales.

I thought it was through Sunday the 21st but just looked and shows the sale ends on the 20th. Is that right?

edit: Sorry was looking at the Summer Event schedule, not the sale. I'm an idiot.

FO3 is a fundamentally broken game on W7 and up. It crashes so much. You essentially need to ini tweak to keep the crashing to the minimum, however, there's an unofficial patch that actually fixes a lot of the garbage. Get that + GFWL disabler and it's alright. I personally hate the story of FO3. It's honestly a disaster start to finish with some interesting parts, but it throws it all away.

New vegas is the better game, and works out of the box. NV only has one annoying bug that you may or may not run into, and it's an infinite reloading bug thats easily fixed by downloading a mod called New Vegas Anti crash.

IS it me or has past Steam Sales been more mind blowing?

I'd say yes, and when you find "in library" next to 75% of the good deals, it just makes it seem worse

Edit: Heck, last year's Steam Sale made it to 3 OTs, we're not even half an OT done with only 2 days left

Just Goat Simulator for me today. I'll be buying a couple of non-daily/flash sale games over the weekend but apart from that my wallet is safe.
