i remember reading something about resident evil revelations being worse than 6 and rev 2? is that true? might try and refund it if so, i just thought that i heard it being a great revival of classical re gameplay

God bless all my old friends/And god bless me too, why pretend?
How long does it take to get a refund? Refunded Revengeance and am waiting to get the money in my Steam wallet before I get anything else.

People keep saying 7 days, don't think you'll see it before the sale is over

Some people have had refunds approved in as little as 1-2 hours (game removed from account). However, the actual refund to your bank/card or Steam wallet takes a few days. (edit - beaten...)

I'm actually going to skip it, methinks... Should I? I don't know.

Thinking of this too, so weird of NONE of the franchise games being on proper sales.
Last year I bought Dark Souls 1 in May during a weekend sale and then it was in the summer sale a month after for 1,50 euros less.
This year nothing?

Bummed.

Dont you just love when a huge bill pops up, drinks your cash, and leaves you no funds for a sale? LOL this is the first one I've missed.

Luckily, there wasn't a whole lot that I had to not buy.

I guess my haul was:

- Hexcells Infinite
- The Talos Principle
- The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Not bad. I basically sold my PS4 versions of FIFA 15 and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for these.

I'm gonna get Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin in the Winter sales. Haven't completed Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1 or Bloodborne yet anyway.

Looks like they chose every game that I was tempted by but wasn't quite discounted enough for me to feature in the encores:

Dead Rising 3
Pillars of Eternity
WatchUnderscoreDogs
Ori
Grim Fandango
This War of Mine
Divinity OS
Life Is Strange
Wasteland 2
Darkest Dungeon

Fuckin Gaben. He knows this will make me buy at least half of them.

Also boo to Ark for wasting a space in the encore with 17% off.

Still bothers me that the Dark Souls 2 upgrade is a ripoff... So baaaaaad.

Copying Skyrim, probably. It sucks that buying the GOTY is a better deal than buying the DLC seperately.

Yeah, it's bizarre.

I told myself I would get it when it was sub-$25 since I already played it on PS3 (no DLC though) so I'll be getting it either way. But I was just hoping it would go sub-$20.

Same price/hopes, but hey... It'll go cheaper eventually, and I'm not in much of a rush.

What a rubbish sale. Sites like Humble Bundle (and other, more 'grey market', sites) have stolen it's thunder the past few years.

I've only bought 2 games - Nidhogg double pack and Rocket Knight - and I'm getting a refund on RK as it's not as good as the original.

Time to go on mop up duty, and look through all the 90% deals.

No Dark Souls 2. I'm fine paying $25 for it, but checking every day to see if it's on sale then having it never come up is such a huge disappointment.

I'm really getting tired of the Steam sale format at this point. I wish they would just give us the lowest price from the start, then just feature different games on the front page every day.

Life is Strange is totally worth it at this price.

As someone who last PC-gamed in a pre Steam era, I cannot get my head around people's complaints about pricing. Most of the games in the sale are cheap as dirt and people are still disappointed. How low do they have to go exactly before people are satisfied? You could buy enough good games to last until the next sale with very little money.

Is Dishonored DLC worth the extra 5€?
Yeah. It's like a proper expansion pack. I'm only on the second mission of Knife of Dunwall, and I have 5 hours logged. They're great missions too. There's like 5 missions left, which should be a ton of hours.

Get Knife of Dunwall, and Brigmore Witches (or the GotY edition, if you don't have the base game).

Just buy Ori. Easy peasy.

Thanks. GotY it is then.

This is what I'm considering from the encore sales:

With the exception of Talos Principle these are all pretty good prices I guess. Maybe I'll give Talos a skip and pick it up during the winter sale for a hopefully steeper discount.

Wow, that was pretty lame all in all.
The DLC prices are a scam. What's the point of ever buying the base game, if the Game of the Year Edition is going to be cheaper than the DLC?
I've been waiting for the Dishonored and Bioshock DLCs to get bigger discounts for months now. Instead, Dark Souls 2 is a new addition to the Wishlist.

There's really no need to buy both Wasteland 2 and Divinity at the same time, especially as both of them will get large updates later this year. Wait with at least one of them to the next sale.

Buy Ori and Grim Fandango.

It's a combination of people having larger libraries, discounts the past few sales haven't been as good as in previous years, and more and more competitors offering better deals.

1- should ther b a new thread for the encore?
2- dont buy any of the big games if theyre not heavily discounted atm get them during the winter seal.

Still haven't bought anything from the Summer Sale, I have a lot of games already that I need to get to and none of the deals for anything I might be interested in have been what I'd consider good enough for an impulse buy, especially when I know GMG will likely have something better by or before the time I'll actually be ready to play it.

I think that's a great price for Talos. It was one of my favorite games of last year. Very creative and a ton of content.
