It is from a nerd movie nerds love so much.
It's supposed to be a martial art that uses angles and various other geometric principles to allow you to shoot up entire squadrons of soldiers while dodging all their bullets. From the movie Equilibrium.

As a 13 year old boy who knew nothing of martial arts, Equilibrium still seemed stupid as hell.

And the people who story-boarded/choreographed this scene didn't have any objections?
Gunkata only really works in DMC and Bayonetta, where the stupidity of it all actually complements the action and overall tone of the games. So at least Equilibrium was good for something.

as much as i love xrd and arcsys - they'd be fools not to. a fighting game without a base is dead. they have to revive a dead cult classic and hope that everyone loves it enough to tell others about it. they can't afford for it not to be cross platform
It is stupid. Divides the community. Cross Play support don't seem all that hard. At the very least cross play between system families.
Depends on a game, a MMO shooter has a lot more moving parts then a 2d fighter.
They could, but they got to think it is worth the man power in making thing happen then the QA. Gamers sometimes don't realize how much actually goes into programing the stuff. They could do it, but their Moris people got to decide if it is worth the money.
