Here's a crazy issue I'm having with this UPlay client:
If I have my Elite controller connected wirelessly, and I launch the UPlay app, if at any point I turn off the Elite controller, my mouse input gets broken. Any kind of mouse input just results in beeps from the speakers. Even unplugging the mouse and plugging it back in does nothing, I've only been able to resolve that state by rebooting.
What in hell. I've never really seen anything like that before.
I have exactly the same issue...

Are the Nvidia drivers fixed?

Exact same for me.Here's a crazy issue I'm having with this UPlay client:

Are you guys on Windows 10? I have the same problem with both Elite and regular Xbox One controllers. Yeah, a hard reboot is the only thing that will fix it for me.
Something I noticed,
I have a Logitech g710 mechanical keyboard and every time I boot up the game, the back lights on my keyboard turn off and only turn back on when in game. When there is a cutscene the lights turn back off. When I am in a firefight with enemies the lights are flashing on my keyboard. It's kind of cool but weird at the same time.
Anyway to turn off?

AMD perf scales super high in indoor areas, nvidias only goes up a little. gamegpu bench is indoors, pcgh bench outdoors. pcgh also uses some of the fastest factory OC nvidia cards(this adds 20%~ to the 970/980/980ti), gamegpu uses stock.
btw, do you know if maxwells dx12/11.3 features can be accessed through nvapi without dx12/11.3?
Direct3D11
Use the NVIDIA NvAPI to create an ID3D11RasterizerState, the interface for this is shown below:
NvAPI_D3D11_RASTERIZER_DESC_EX NVAPI_RS_DESC;
NVAPI_RS_DESC.ConservativeRasterEnable = TRUE; // Enable conservative raster
NvAPI_D3D11_CreateRasterizerState(pD3D11Device,(const NvAPI_D3D11_RASTERIZER_DESC_EX*)&NVAPI_RS_DESC,&m_pConservativeRaster);
Direct3D11.3 & Direct3D12
These future Direct3D API’s will include full support for this feature, as detailed on slide 24 and 25 of this presentation:
OpenGL
Use the GL_NV_conservative_raster extension.
NVIDIA also has an OpenGL GameWorks SDK sample demonstrating how to set up Conservative Rasterization.
The Computerbase benchmarks seem the best as they test multiple factory overclocked and referenced cards as well: from both NV and AMD.
Most of the gameplay I experienced in the beta was outdoors. Does the built in bechmark do an indoor area or outdoor one?
I believe so!
yeah even outdoor theres some variance, i edited my previous post but heres the DF video from the beta showing how performance profiles change between amd and nvidia depending on scene and load

cool, thx. seems like their new shadow tech is close to what they showed in that mecha demo which used CR for it
I wonder what the technical reasons are behind that... especially since it is so darn consistent between different scenes. Maybe the AMD driver is culling out stuff differently? I have no idea.
Yeah. It seems like it. Pretty darn high quality for those tiny details. I think they also added those contact shadows between the beta and now... I definitely do not remember the option at least from the beta... let alone the visual effect.
Any chance I could reach 60 frames with a 780 at 1440p? I'm skeptical.
Anyone getting single digit frames when turning on HFTS?
Im on a 3K surround 980ti settup and otherwise get 60, right up until i turn on hfts, at which point im lucky if i get 6fps.
HFTS?
40-50 fps with everything maxed on SLI GTX 980ti's.
Am I supposed to be using those beta drivers?
They might have pulled them, but I could be mistaken. I'm currently using the initially released "broken" drivers from yesterday, and have just avoided turning on my other displays.
As for your performance, surely when the drivers are re-released things will improve for you.
I have a Titan X SLI + 5960X setup, and I'm getting a consistent 85+ FPS (75+ during heavy firefights) at 1440p.

Outdoor scenes are more CPU bound in general, indoor scenes are more GPU bound in general. What you're seeing in this video is a) a bad AMD's DX11 driver at play in outdoor and/or b) the lack of engine's optimization for NV's GPUs indoor.

Booted up first time, black screen, can hear the audio but no picture? Anyone else have this issue?

nvidias new shadow tech. hybrid frustum traced shadows
ThxTrying Alt + Enter. Or just restarting the game. I had this issue and it took a couple restarts to get it run.
