But PS Now has game downloads like game pass as well as streaming. It's not just streaming anymore.
If half gaf users are not aware of that do you think most of ps4 owners are ?

Yeah they don't have good marketing here but nonetheless PS Now is available in Europe as well as North America so availability is not the issue. If half gaf users are not aware of that do you think most of ps4 owners are ?
It works like this MS use their big name exclusives as front runners for the service...You get millions of Subs onto GP this gives incentive for example Kingdom Hearts 3 to come into GP because SQ Enix aren't silly they know KH has never launched on a Xbox console and it just being in the store isnt enough for people who have been starved of the series to buy so now it's on GP those people who want to see what Kingdom Hearts is about get to and they build a bigger audience/following if it were to just sit in the Xbox Store. Same for Yakuza. The more games added especially Big names like Halo Infinite and Fable and Gears 5 grows the service even more.Selling a subscription at basically dollars for hundreds of games, there is no comparison.
On top of not having ownership of the games and being leeched a subscription fee I still don't see how companies can make enough profit unless Microsoft is paying them an very very generous incentive.
It still isn't in my country last time I Czech(ed).Yeah they don't have good marketing here but nonetheless PS Now is available in Europe as well as North America so availability is not the issue.
That's exactly what I was thinking. 3 months is perfect to give them great games to play without any additional investment and after 3 months most people are going to be more than willing to stay on as a paying member.
I have Gamepass Ultimate till 2022 using the free Microsoft Rewards points that i have save up over the years it is the best deal in gaming history im happy it is growing a lot.
Game Pass is attacked so fervently because it is an obvious success. Some folks here can't deal with that.Love the FUD in this thread. While there are many that keep spreading it, Microsoft is winning here.
Yes i work and it literally take my 5 minutes a day to get the points lol it is not a thing where you have to grind all day long it just takes 5 minutes of your time a day it add up overtime i get over 100 dollar worth of points ever year from it and i started in 2017 so now i have over 300 dollar in points total from it i spend 150 plus so i still have money left over since i wait for when they have deals to cash in my points here just take a look at this video it is super easy. You had that many points? Do you even work a job?
It was one dollar to convert the whole 3 years not one dollar per month. Obviously, you had to purchase XBLG but considering that Gamepass ultimate in my region is like $16.99 a month, it was way cheaper to just stack XBLG and pay one dollar.Wait, so it's $1 for 3 whole years or $1 per month for 3 years??
And those same people are the first ones to cry about micro transactions.I believe these devs see it more as marathon than a race Sea of Thieves is in the top 20 most played Xbox One games the more Gamepass grows the more Populated Sea of Thieves gets and the more people willing to spend on in game content.
Yeah it's FUD because you don't agree with itLove the FUD in this thread. While there are many that keep spreading it, Microsoft is winning here.
Not really, people are spouting off opinion as fact because a minority of people are getting gamepass for $1 or free. But the simple matter of the fact is, Microsoft has sustained 10 Million subscribers. Surely, many of these users are not privy to that deal being repeatable and these forums we frequent are a vocal minority, the majority of those subscriptions are most likely legit.Yeah it's FUD because you don't agree with it

Doubtful, people that pay for in game content/MT are custom to paying for these things as in this isn't there first game doing so. And these MT are cosmetics and you can still gain these cosmetics in other ways. Someone may look at it as unfair but in reality that isn't affecting their gameplay experience it doesn't give an edge in gameplay. And those same people are the first ones to cry about micro transactions.
As much as I love the idea of cloud gaming there are a lot of countries that still have horrible internetThe problem is more most of Europe is not ready for ps now or xcloud.
Which makes owning an xbox irrelevant if you have a propper pc .
Makes me questiin why the need for such a power monster when microsoft mostly makes money on service and software and not hardware
But it doesn't work like this at all man in the real world! That's what the goal for this is supposed to be. You have to take into account costs all around and then figure out how many subs been sold for actual price of entry and deals like they were doing for $1!It works like this MS use their big name exclusives as front runners for the service...You get millions of Subs onto GP this gives incentive for example Kingdom Hearts 3 to come into GP because SQ Enix aren't silly they know KH has never launched on a Xbox console and it just being in the store isnt enough for people who have been starved of the series to buy so now it's on GP those people who want to see what Kingdom Hearts is about get to and they build a bigger audience/following if it were to just sit in the Xbox Store. MS wouldn't be bragging with actual numbers (which they haven't released in a long time) if most of the people were gaming the system.
That's crazy you say that when during the PS3 era everyone at that time were being financial analysts in here with all the doom and gloom for Sony and it's "free" online service and entry point of $599!Lets leave the money numbers for Microsoft a trillion dollar tech giant company to worry about ok you and me as gamers we can just enjoy the games and as long as MS is making profit they will keep it going no need to worried about games sales when they MS themself are putting it on Gamepass day 1 so for us the consumer with Gamepass that is great and we can just enjoy it.
like I said before, the service is great for gamers, devs, and publishers, but not the service provider!
Only western europe. No south america australia africa new zeland middle eaat, south east asia etc.Isn't it? I thought PS Now is available across most of Europe.

shit they should be charging $50 a month for this service and I wouldn't bat an eye for that especially for what you're getting from it!
Yeah people can not think cant they? Paying for a service they dont use. Thats just burning money. That just stupid. This kind of subscription services has to be subsidized upfront in order to succeed. You have to burn a lot of money before turning a profit from it.
Very few companies can afford to do that.
Keep in mind, once habit settles in, people will even keep paying every month even though they no longer actually play games. Similar to what happens with Netflix.
Man I did this with final fantasy 14! Kept getting the notices and telling myself imma go back and play and never did over a year and 12.99 later lol. It happensYeah people can not think cant they? Paying for a service they dont use. Thats just burning money. That just stupid.
Someone in here mentioned that PS Now generates more profit than Game Pass despite having only one tenth the number of subscribers. Is that due to a higher subscription fee? Also, do you think that Sony would reduce their subscription fee if Game Pass began increasing its marketshare?
It might be a shock for you but Europe is not a country.Yeah they don't have good marketing here but nonetheless PS Now is available in Europe as well as North America so availability is not the issue.
No shit my country just left the union. That's why in my previous post I said "most of Europe". I ain't fucking Aaron Greenberg. It might be a shock for you but Europe is not a country.
Lool even if 9 Million of those subs are $1 they aren't $1 for ever lol when that month is up for whoever's on $1, the next month. you are paying $10.But it doesn't work like this at all man in the real world! There are 44 countries in Europe and PSNow is available in 16 of them, if I counted correctly. No shit my country just left the union. That's why in my previous post I said "most of Europe". I ain't fucking Aaron Greenberg.

You missed it.
He self imploded with account suicide doing a Last of Us 2 leak with a troll thread tricking people it was "Druckmann responds to Last of Us Leak". Then boom. You click the thread and he posted leaks. The thread is already deleted, but he moaned about biased threads, astroturfing and the same people defending MS.
He also said something like this....... not the same wording but close.....It's comforting to know he went out doing what he loved most.![]()

He won't be missed.DanielsM permed eh?. He's been on my ignore list for probably 6 months. Def the most tedious user on here.
Because it encourages incentives for microtransactions and lootboxesI have played loads of games I would never of played without gamepass. I am somebody who is paying full price for gamepass ultimate for both xbox and pc and its the best value ever.
this is a winner for sure for gamers. I have no idea why so many are against it
Cool, if you count the small independents like Monaco and Holy See as countries I guess but even the pope gets access to PSNow. They just aren't listed. Others can also easily get access, It isn't geoblocked as far as I know. Gamepass supports what, 18 countries as well? There are 44 countries in Europe and PSNow is available in 16 of them, if I counted correctly.
PS Now 19. GP 41.Cool, if you count the small independents like Monaco and Holy See as countries I guess but even the pope gets access to PSNow. They just aren't listed. Others can also easily get access, It isn't geoblocked as far as I know. Gamepass supports what, 18 countries as well?
Not sure why all that's important. Somebody said PSNow 'isn't available in Europe' and I said 'it is available in Europe'. I know it's not a country and I know it's not all of Europe. I hope it officially comes to yours.
Because it encourages incentives for microtransactions and lootboxes
I have not bought any micro transaction or loot box. currently playing "A plague tale" and not a loot box or transaction in sight. again there are loads of games that aint on gamepads with loot box or transactions so its happening with or without gamepadsBecause it encourages incentives for microtransactions and lootboxes
