E3 2015 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3

Watched the Mario Maker one. This game is really looking good. I can't wait to make some great levels. I just hoped we could've got a Yoshi's Island Maker and Kirby Maker too.

Time to watch JC get salty.

I think what she meant was that in order to experience both sides of the story, you'll want to play both versions. The said that the game is a full Fire Emblem experience, and it's actually the longest one to date.

That was my impression as well. But, it's not like there'll be much speculation since the games release in Japan soon, so hopefully people will keep their reactions in check until that time and things can be confirmed.

I'm alright with two versions of FE. Not that I give a shit about Hoshido, tbh.

Also Metroid soccer looks like generic e-shop garbage. :(. The waverace clone looked neat, tho.

Damn I missed the breakdown on the 3DS Fire Emblem? Bummer. Again if its like the Oracle games I have no problem with it but I'm still not 100% sure how they handling things.

No, but I also view those as very different considering they had different dungeons, two different overworlds, characters, and a different core mechanics which the games were based around.

I feel like pretty much none of the maps are going to be shared after choosing sides, and certainly not specific unit placements. Which characters are on your side are also identical. Nohr is classic mission structure, Hoshido is world map. The situation is super similar.

*sigh* it just moves so stiffly, especially for a competitive game. The right analog nub was not built for a game like this.

If it supports the CPP, it'll be best on the original 3DS.

I think the main game looks fun, I really enjoyed their gameplay yesterday, but this mode looks incredibly dull.

The game looks okay, the meltdowns are awesome

I agree it looks okay and could have some potential. Im sure the singleplayer (if they make one) will be ffun. Its the fact that they announce this shit instead of a real Metroid that is so disgusting. Also, the fact that they chibi-fied it annoys the hell out of me. I dont have a problem with Nintendos general cuteness, but Metroid looked so iconic, so great the way it was - and this just looks incredibly bland.

The worst part is how it will kill the franchise when it bombs though :(

they used "paths", "versions" and "games" interchangeably. Near the end Audrey said "both games" were like a full game each and that you'd probably want to play both to have the complete story.

Not digging the Blastball mode at all, it looks too stiff to enjoy.

Also, the multiplayer "Ice Beasts" thing they did yesterday looked fun as heck.

Sometimes it´s hard to tell if you´re trolling or not,,,

One point of view vs. two points of view

Now this is just stupid.

Honestly the two viewport excuse doesn't hold up. Yes it's an extra cost, especially in 60 fps, but not nearly enough to explain how basic starfox looks.

There's plenty of WiiU games and last gen games with many times as much stuff going on in one screen than starfox has in two; and given the resolution of the gamepad the cost for rendering it is relatively low.

It looks like they wanted to stay really close to the N64 designs, which may have worked with more impressive lighting and and other effects, but now it just really plain.

I can understand why there's the lock-on, because ultimately, you're almost always going to want to focus on the ball and so they don't want to have to worry about that, but the not-very-effective maneuverability when you're not locked on just doesn't seem appealing at all.

It must have lots of text to not be able to provide a playable demo then.

The Iwata Ask actually had a number, but I can't remember. There is also the voice acting. They characters actually talk more than they did in Xenoblade X.

And, I can understand why the divide this into two separate games. This is very much like Zelda Oracle series as someone mention. They are technically one story, but have two big adventures. They outright said that they have different missions and maps between the two version, so it isn't like you're buying one of the color Pokemon. Hopefully, they will have a good discount.

That's basically how it is with a few changes. The games are identical up until the part where your character needs to align themselves, which is where it differs. They are completely different stories and interactions based. They mentioned that you'd want to buy the both games to experience the whole store, but I think they meant to experience both sides of the story.

Holding L to lock on for a whole game seems tiring and clunky. It makes the game feel much more restricted than it has to feel.

Needs CPP or stylus support.

Honestly we saw this at NWC. Do we need a replay?

What else exactly are they going to show? Do you honestly think they'd go 3 days of repeat-less coverage?

I want to see it anyway.

It should have nub support for n3DS, so CPP should hopefully be supported.

Yeah, it's not like there was any substantial combat that you needed both to play or anything >.>

A final boss I dont even remember anything from. Not really substantial in the grand scheme of things.

Btw, this really makes me want to go back and play Seasons which was my favorite. That game was great.

It's actually the same with Fire Emblem Fates. You get different characters, maps, stories, and even a slight different core mechanic. One is more traditional Fire Emblem while one is morel like Awakening.

The free aiming around the ball when locked on, making possible to hit the ball in specific angles, is pretty cool.
