Oh my god, the new Chibi Robo game looks so cute. I just hope that you have more access to its tools from other games to shake things up (toothbrush, helicopter, spoon, etc).

There is no way the entire script of Xenoblade Chronicles X, which by all accounts is massive, could be done in just two months.

They have been localizing since the beginning of 2015, I am talking about 6 months in total for only the English subtitles should be long enough...

Just imagine how cool is to wake up everyday knowing that your job is to think in some dance moves to add to the new chibi robo game.

When will xenoblade release on wii u? I missed it on the stream :(

Until december. can't remember the exact day but I think it's on mid-december. 6 months left...

Though there are less games I'm interested in this year, I still really like the whole Treehouse thing. The #FE presentation was particularly informative. Hope they continue this next year.

Wolf will be in StarFox

Localization is a bitch.

If they could leave the Japanese voice overs with English subtitles it would be enough for me and it would be done in 2 months MAX !
I wish they could just put the rest off the localization through DLC , just to speed up the proces lol.

err... not sure if serious....

Yeah i agree on the whole sub thing i tend to watch most Asian stuff in their original languages so sub wouldn't bother me just have someone translate every thing for sub while your making the game so the Japanese version could have at least an English subs, have it to where you could actually buy the version digitally from anywhere in the world, and i would probably end up buying everything twice once for the digital english version and the second time for the dub version. I think having only a sub version in the states wouldn't sell as many copies so a dub version would have to definitely be released when it officially comes out for the rest of the world

Chibi Robo is day one for me now. This gameplay convinced me (Even though I was already decided to bought it just because of the damn amiibo included haha)

Chibi Robo is totally gonna be in the next Smash. My prayers have been answered.

Or perhaps as DLC for Smash 4!

do you want this game to flop miserably in the west or something

even if they could do this, it would be a terrible idea

So this was weird. After Xenoblade Chronicles X ended, there was again a segment of this 3DS Mecha game (don't know the name), so I did other stuff, because I don't care for the game. After that ended there was Bill Trinen showing of the amiibo on the show floor and it was the exact same footage they were showing earlier today. It was still saying "live" though on Youtube. I had to refresh the page and noticed I missed a whole lot of stuff, because the footage of the Mecha game was also a repeat. D'oh -.-

Localization is a lot more than just translation, though. Most of the time the localization team is given the translations and it's their job to make it relevant to whatever country they're localizing it for, in this case, the US. They need to make sure the story makes sense, and remove any kind of cultural references that the western countries wouldn't understand.

Many times when you translate from Japanese to English, it doesn't sound right. So, it's not something that can just be released through DLC later on.

Good point. I know it isn't realistic solely based on sales, I am not serious that Nintendo will actually do it. I am just impatient and thinking out loud.

Niceee! I was wondering how you could make those challenging 1 block obstacles and how you can measure the distance of Mario jumping to that block and it's super intuitive to create!

This is so impressive. Nintendo didnt have many games, but they seriously only needed this. Im playing Super Mario World for the rest of my life.

Finally, a look at how multiple rooms within a single stage will work. I wonder what the limitations are on the number of rooms you can fit in, as it seems like you'll have a full-sized canvas at your disposal for each of them.

i wonder if they're reproducing some of the glitches that a lot of smw hacks rely on, and all the smw item quirks in general

visual and acoustic design is out of this world, for sure
