E3 2015 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3

Wow, look at how many Mystery Mario options there are. That literally has to be one for every amiibo and then some.

Could the Pokémon amiibo finally get some use?

Anyone else thinking they should do Treehouse first next E3?

Show how the games play at Treehouse and then use the Digital Event as summarizer, with some non-playable games thrown in.

If you don't do stage events anymore, you don't have to follow the shedule.

That would be kind of pointless, I think

Oh man :O 90 (and over?) amiibos can be used in the game? That's kind of crazy. There's not even 90 amiibos revealed yet, right? (not counting the cards)

Ok so there are 51 Smash Bros. amiibo
55 counting DLC
56. Chibi Robo
57. Toad
58-60. Inklings
61-68 Animal Crossing

So that's scary.

I hope they don't allow courses that require that Amiibo to beat to be uploaded
I assume the ? block is just a normal mushroom if you don't attach an Amiibo to it.

Wonder if you can earn Mystery Suits in-game? Would make sense as something to spend stars on.

I'm almost prepared to develop a theory where Nintendo didn't plan to have a Digital Event, but then the Square Enix disrespect over time-slot caused them to make one up at the last minute just to for Squeenix to kowtow.

It's about respect... yadda yadda...

That Amiibo spawns the mushroom that you put on a block, so I think (just like the mystery shrooms) that if you upload a course with the Giant Mushroom you won't need the Amiibo to use it.

Can I change the music of the level?
Well there is this mysterious button they've yet to explain:

What's intriguing about it is that that frog icon appears in the original Mario Paint like many other icons in Mario Maker, but the frog appears here:

The music maker. So perhaps that frog has something to do with music like switching between tracks. And it appears under the game and level theme switches indicating it has something to do with the feel of the level. This is all speculation of course.

If they do that a Digital Event would be entirely pointless. Would be interesting actually if they just did a Treehouse that way no one would know what games they will show and may cut down on the fan rage.

smash has what.. 54 not counting mario?
plus toad from mario bros for 55
3 for splatoon - 58
8 for animal crossing to make 64
chibi robo makes 65

now they PROBABLY aren't going to have all 200-some cards
but that still leaves some unknown slots, unless different versions count?

It's true, Treehouse showed the first day an uploaded course with Wii Fit Trainer costume without scanning it.

Highly doubtful since those Jim Henson Puppets weren't last minute.

Well, I guess we're destined for a "Mario Maker locks 90+ costumes behind amiibos!" thread pretty soon. This particular usage really doesn't bother me, though. This a feature that there's no way would exist if amiibo wasn't a thing.

That's pretty much complete nonsense.

Because....?

There would be no point in having a video that summed up the games you already saw. Like, it'd be totally worthless? The whole point of the Digital Event is to preface the games you're going to show and announce games. You don't do that at the end of a conference. It's just...logic.
