Actor Chadwick Boseman(Black Panther) dies from cancer

I actually just made an appointment last week for colon cancer screening. I’ve had some chronic issues/narrowing/mystery bleeding. My doc recommended a colonoscopy which I failed to get in 2013. My appointment to even setup a colonoscopy isn’t until 9/22.

Best wishes! As someone else said, colonoscopies and capsule-camera endoscopies aren’t so bad. The prep sucks with the liquid diet and the torrent of liquid spilling out sitting on the porcelain throne, but it’s worth it for the much greater good/need.

my friend shown me the news when we were having dinner and I literally shouted "what the fuck!" at the dinner table. did not know he's sick at all and it's such a shame. he's one of the better actors in the new generation. such a shame... RIP to a wonderful actor.

No idea who he was since I barely remember that movie, but as others have said shooting a movie while having stage 4 cancer is something else.

I feel like this came out of no where. Was this not known or something? Sad to hear this. Should be a reminder to all life is short. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

WTF?! Well, that came out of nowhere, but now those rumors about Marvel replacing him in the movies make far more sense as they probably knew about this. That's really sad. Well F. RIP man.

We are but mortal men, doomed to die. We mean much to each other, but we mean nothing to the cosmos. We cease, thereby inciting tears and breaking hearts; however, the stars continue spinning. Alas, we are and will have been but a blip in the lifespan of the universe.

Nothing stopped him from going out and doing this even if it would've been completely understandable in hindsight. :messenger_clapping:

How sad, gone way too soon. Like many have already said, I had no idea he even had it either, seems like it was kept under wraps this whole time apart from his family. I thought he was a great actor, did a fantastic job as BP of course but he also gave fine performances in 42 and Da 5 Bloods. It felt like his career was just starting to really take off, too. Crazy how he was in this physically demanding role while fighting colon cancer. It's like even though he appeared to be healthy on the outside, on the inside he must've been in a lot of pain, felt miserable and exhausted from the various treatments and the disease itself. But I guess he thought it was worth it in the end to make the fans happy, especially people who were itching too see BP have his moment in the spotlight for such a mega popular movie franchise. RIP.

I loved him as james brown, damn to soon.

“The Black Panther” was a great comic book movie. Honestly it’s easily in my top 5 of the entire MCU. I’m really bummed out about this.

Had a colon cancer scare last year that ended up in an IBS diagnosis. Mostly because my GP freaked me out and exacerbated my IBS due to worry after he suggested colon cancer as a possibility. Several blood tests and a poop sample later, the GI specialist practically laughs off the notion based off testing. Didn’t even have to get a colonoscopy.

I guess I mostly encourage everyone who has something weird going on to at least poop in a jar and get it checked out.

Colonoscopies aren't bad, I've had several of them done. It doesn't hurt at all, you're put under, you don't feel a thing. When you wake up you wouldn't even know except for a little blood in the toilet after that's just from them taking routine biopsies. The prep sucks and you shit your brains out for a few hours, but if you can deal with that it's a good trade off to make sure you're healthy in there.
Probably will have to do that. Just for the safe side. I can only imagine colon cancer must be painful.

My dad corrected me. My mother did have colon cancer as well as ovarian cancer.

So from a third person, I kind of know what Mr. Boseman was going and it's very sad.

I'm glad his legacy will live on with movies like Black Panther.

He was only just really hitting it big and then his life ends. He deserved better, still haven't seen Black Panther so guess I'll have to watch it now. 😔

RIP King. Rest well. 🙏
