Too soon

🤷‍♂️

I wasn't joking, being cute or trying to be edgy.

It's just a nice image to think of Boseman and Ledger chilling together. The soundtrack to the film can be played by Nick Menza on drums, Hendrix on guitar, Freddy Mercury on vocals and Cliff Burton on Bass

Story by Stan Lee.

Saw this last night and I was in instant denial, much like when I was watching TV and saw that Kobe died. I said how can someone be reporting this?!? Then checked other news outlets. :messenger_crying:

whole lot of people having their minds blown that there are lots of folks out there with cancer living everyday lives

it's true. we are here. we are still living. we don't just shrivel up and hide away when we get a diagnosis.

we should treat every person like we would a cancer victim.

That reminds me, this was the same way TotalBiscuit passed away... 4 years after getting the diagnose.

Said from someone on FB:

"He was #trolled, #bullied, and called names on the internet for losing weight, when in fact, he was dying. Never ridicule a pain you have never encountered. People are silently fighting battles that you don't know of. If you can't help them, or even pray for them, don't call them names.

Rest in power, #Chadwick #BlackPanther 🖤"

I get not wanting to make his life all about his cancer while he was battling and filming his movies, but at the same time, think how many people might've been motivated to get screened if he had been open about his diagnosis. He was a role model with a lot of influence especially in a community that could've greatly benefited.

He'll no doubt have that affect in death, but coming out at the height of his stardom would've had a positive impact.

I know Tom Green coming out pushed me to have a lump on my testicles checked.

Looking at his filmography, it's amazing what he's put out since his diagnosis. Not that I think everyone should do the same if put in the situation, but Mr. Boseman must have really felt strongly about his work to continue on with it after receiving a terminal diagnosis. A truly genuine artist.

Wow, this really shocked me. Came out of nowhere. Hadn't heard that he'd been sick and then to have worked during all of that, fighting, but ultimately dying at an age of 44. Damn, really sad. He still had a long life and a long career in front of him. May he rest in peace and my thoughts with the family.
Reminds us that we all have ticking time bombs over us and that we really need to make the most of our life while we're here, and that being aware, able and willing to visit a doctor in cases of anything being off is important.

ABC just said he was the first black person to get their own superhero movie.. big slap in the face to Wesley Snipes and Michael Jai Wnite. We had black leads in superhero movies two decades ago.

Black Panther was the first nearly all black big budget sci-fi action film where the leads, side characters, supporting characters, crew and director were black. Conventional wisdom was that an all black cast won't be profitable... Especially not a big budget all black cast.

Blade and Spawn were leads only in mostly non-black casts/crewed films.

And that's ok. But BP wasn't the first black superhero film.
