They should have canned it after the awful beta participation. If you can’t interest people for free, you won’t interest them for a paid game. This could have been Bat Girl but instead it’s John Carter.

To me, the studio is getting shut down soon. there is no demand for it even when it was on a free to play beta.

sony is cutting losses and the best way to do it is to immediately shut down the studio.

That would be absolutely retarded. Maybe rebrand and trim, but why in the hell would they toss a group of very competent developers out?

The game itself is very solidly built, on a technical level. The animators and tech artists are top notch. Seems like a redesign and a critical look at the art and level design dept, as well as a pivot to f2p, would be a much better option.

That was somewhat fast, didn't expect they drop it after few days. But even in P2P, I don't have any faith that this game can be redeemed.

Honestly, I'm now  incredibly interested in what changes they make before relaunching. Just a f2p pivot? A redo of the terrible character designs? Ass n titties skins?

Assuming they aren't already planning to kill it off down the line.

What are the odds that they simply close the studio down “after reflection on the market and reception” or something like that.

We're looking at another DOA Sony live service game.
Fairgames doesnt seem to have many competitors. The only one i can think of is Payday 3 and that one wasnt well received either.

I wouldn't waste any time in turning this game into f2p, reputation is tainted, it will be long forgotten, Sony simply doesn't need it, it's just a botched gaas attempt.
The team should just be used to speed up development of other projects as a support team for now until they decide if it's the case to let them work on something completely different.
Anyone involved in decision making for this title and character design should be booted.

Yeah it’s a sunk cost at this point. How much more money would you throw at this game trying to salvage it? If I were Sony I wouldn’t spend another penny on the game or this studio, just shut it down and consider it a loss.

Holy shit man they managed to make an even bigger blunder than Redfall
I dunno... they're not hiding from the truth and they are facing it head-on, unlike Redfall but I suppose, that team was shut-down wasn't it? So, we have to at least wait to see if that happens with Firewalk, to call this a bigger blunder.

Holy SHIT!

I mean what else is there to even say.

Damn.

Are you winning sons?

I feel like we all flew too close to the sun, lol.

I feel like I just took the best shit of my life but somebody filmed it and now I gotta live with the worry.

1. Go f2p. Don't be stupid.

2. Rework characters. Don't have "fat woman with huge FUPA and jeans up to her tits." as characters. That's already a fail.

3. Increase player count or rework maps. Maps are really huge and the low player count makes them look empty.

4. Get rid of the pronoun shit. You wanna put that in the background lore, be my guest, but I really shouldn't need to know a robots pronouns lol.
