Came in to post the very same thing. Reviews are probably going to make or break this game.

I still don't think Veilguard is going to be another Concord situation. I mean that was an extreme case, it's not going to be that bad. My guess is that Veilguard will do "fine" but nowhere near the sales of Inquisition. I definitely think the presentation of the game and Bioware's track record these past 10 years, will hurt the game's sales. But I'm not convinced yet it will hurt them enough for the game to outright bomb and lose them money.

Nah....this ain't Concord. Concord was ranked over 700 in most wishlisted prior to release. If it reviews well then I'm betting console sales will do fairly well. Hard to say how well it will do on Steam. User reviews have a lot of weight.

I hear ya. Bioware did leverage IGN for their latest marketing preview, but even that has been met with a mixed reception. I don't think there's honest to goodness enthusiasm across the internet that generates buzz around the title. It's kinda just there.

That it has a gender neutral character creator? Because so did Cyberpunk 2077.

That it has playersexual romances? Because so many games have that, including Fallout New Vegas (and tbh I think playersexual romances are lazy, but that's as far as my criticism goes).

That the art style is heavily stylized? Because the art style had changed drastically between every DA game.

Agreed, I was surprised with what they already revealed, especially during their combat reveal trailer where they said they removed sections to avoid spoilers and then immediately dropped a big one about Archdemons. But definitely eager to see where they go with all of it, particularly how Solas's story concludes. And I've been waiting to go to Tevinter since Origins, should be interesting.

No idea if this will be good or not. But just stopping in to say wow, Dragon Age Origins was freakin great. Vibe, story...all of it.

Hard to say. Saber Interactive didn't have that issue with Space Marine 2. That game is a smash success.

I'm not sure if the higher ups at EA are clueless or what. Feels like Veilguard was greenlit with the assumption that gender queer nonsense was really important to the broader market. Like everything they saw on Twitter/Reddit applied to normies.

This is exactly why my Dragon Age hype was deflated as soon i saw gameplay footage. The art direction of the game make it look like a mod for World of Warcraft filled with colorfull neon effects.
The cast of companion characters also makes me not really interested in knowing anyone of them. As a fan of Dragon Age games i might eventually get it, but will wait for a very big discount on this one.

Things that suck deserve to fail. The market spoke long ago what we don’t want, and they keep shoving it down our throats like we will just slowly accept it.

This game is a deep discount. No open world, focused areas, agenda based woke shit, etc etc.
