Tying the theme to faith is actually very interesting to me.

More enticing than the trailer itself.

As has already been pointed out by others, the man's milking socials for attention. The trailer, that actress's comment, this comment...

I wouldn't say he's playing people like others have suggested but rather the man (Druckman) just doesn't care what the discourse is around him and his game as long as there's discourse happening , period.

Therefore, I think he's gonna continue to glorify his worldview because he knows that will draw the most attention. He's a narcissist and with that I'm out. Not going to engage with someone who's gonna just continuously gaslight for attention.

It was a crap trailer that still managed to show everything of consequence.
Bad aesthetic, lame ass concept, no advancement in graphics and Soulslop gameplay incoming.

I'm judging this one hard and early. Sorry, but just by how ill-suited Jordan's character model is to the only enemy we've seen her fight (yay, robots. Because that's so satisfying), I know that ND isn't putting their best foot forward.
What a crap comment... Lol. Ignorant as fuck, just a plain hater.

Promotes 5 franchises, but includes UC twice.

They missed franchises like:

- Crash (even though they mentioned it in the trailer)
- Way of the Warrior
- Rings of Power
- Keef the Thief
- and some more oldies from the 80s

I for one im really excited. ND production quality in an ARPG sci fi game seems awesome to me. I assume its going to be ARPG right?

Likely.

Uncharted, The Last Of Us are much more grounded in that they merely exist on Earth, this game is not only in some alternate universe, but involved space and other planets. So it opens the door to a lot.

Isnt this style of marketing out of date by a decade?

What exactly is a wild game?

I doubt it will be “wild” like TLOU 2 where you murdered established characters. Its simply not possible in this case.

Not ignorance. Just experience.

Let's not lie to ourselves here man, what we've seen so far is tame and generic as fuck. Split Fiction looks like it's doing more cool shit.

Exactly.

That's the most bland trailer I've ever seen.
Maybe the game will be incredible but for the moment they showed only boring stuff. Nothing to be hyped about for me.

I mean, yeah, I’ll buy this. One or another it’s going to cause a stir. Haven’t done a bad game yet. Controversial perhaps, but not bad

Forget about the protagonist for a while. Just imagine the amazing worlds they are going to create. This is their first game on the PS5!
I don't mind the protagonist.
They could show us the amazing worlds they're creating, instead of showing us nothing concrete and tell us it will be "wild".

We saw a conversation in space and a starting combat with a robot.
Nothing exciting on screen for me so far.

I know ND have a good reputation and it plays a lot in the hype they have for this game.
Because objectively this trailer is very dull. Only if you're craving for a Sci-fi game it can make you excited but it's not my case.

I need to see more to be hyped. For the moment I am not interested at all.

? huh? ummmm my comment merely fucking states they exist on Earth and simply have more grounded concepts, where this game exist in a alternate universe, has space and different planets.

To say "generic" you know of another game set in an alternate 80's with a space setting or?

Keep in mind, I'm sure Split Fiction will be a great title, they are both doing different types of settings and this is not a fucking race.

I don't understand this idea "more" in this regard, they are merely 2 different games, its like saying you are getting more fries at McDonalds to a person that likes Pizza as if they fucking care lol

As if they can't simply eat both...

So "cool" is a subjective measurement, someone can think anything is cool or lame etc to what ever degree they feel like it, but this isn't a race.

Both titles can be enjoyed for what they are doing.

It’s a retro sci fi game with real life brands. It’s going to be a game that will be more grounded with space bandits and AI robots like what we all saw. Very mass effect-ish in characters and enemies.

It’s doubtful it’ll have crazy alien monsters or no man’s sky creatures or spellbinding psionic abilities and such.

The chances of a skinhead girl driving a Porsche ship while wearing a wife beater tshirt and adidas sneakers to fight alien lizards and 20 ft ice trolls on planet spsceball is basically zero.

Instead it’ll be a lot of production values into human characters and plot. It’ll probably some tropey plot like a mad man or banished guy wants revenge and has made tons of robot soldiers

Agreed. The only thing I see that is more otherworldly is the robot soldiers. We don't know enough to know just how deep it goes out of reality.

Like will the combat be over the top exaggerated, suspend any belief DMC? Its hard to tell right now.

I think even the brands that ground it to a reality that we understand, may not mean the rest of the concept fits that, it might just be the iconography that grounds it in that regard. So its hard to tell 100% now without more info, but I think you are spot on

Agreed.

For you gamers who like crazy weapons and crafting I suspect this game will have it. You don’t get a glowing red wacky sword in a game if the rest of the game is boring weapons.

It’s bounty hunting after all. So it’ll be over the top arsenals and probably finding loot or shady space stores selling or trading gear.

Faith is belief without evidence. No one should have faith. Hope? Sure... Faith? Can't get behind this one, Druk.
Maybe it’s faith that on a dangerous planet billions of miles away from the nearest spaceport even the most Gen Z skinhead can find an alien lesbian spouse?

You chuds have this all wrong. Aloy is gonna come in (thx herman) and teach the lesbo bald Asian chick how to fight robots. Its gonna be badass.
Aloy would be a huge upgrade to this Jordan character going by what they’ve showed in this trailer. No matter what the haters pretend with their edited meme pics Aloy actually looks good. But this character is just plain boring, there is literally nothing to be excited about, even the badass thing they’re going for is mid, a random npc in Cyberpunk looks more badass.
I like the light saber knockoff weapon though, and the wall bouncing on a rock for a powerful attack seems exciting, unless it’s just a scripted thing for the trailer.
