Really enjoying the new look the poetics gear affords. Though, who knows how long I'll keep it around before I vanity something else in place. I mean, yeah it looks good, but when a ton of people are walking around with the same look...

Hey guys I'm about to hit 40 with my Paladin and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me as I'm getting into the harder content as a tank.
Mainly what I want to know is what is a good rotation for me atm? I went ahead and got the skill from my marauder that ppl have recommended. Also I've never used a macro before, is now the time to set that up or should I wait till 50?

Threat combo...> threat combo....and then threat combo again. If multiple targets flash until good enough aggro then rotate threat combo. Riot combo is pretty much only worth using during speed runs where you are chain pulling a huge number of mobs and spamming flash till you're out of MP. Use shield swipe whenever it is available and you got aggro lead.
No macros needed for PLD except maybe for party notifications. I use one to notify of Hallowed Ground and Provoke use. Used to use one for cover but the line tether kinda tells people most of the time now.
You can google a list of macro commands and get an idea. Sample tank macro:
This uses Provoke on my current target, announces it in party chat and also makes a little sound effect to go along with it.

So what's the easiest way to get Allagan leather? Turn 4 has been really stingy.
It's to make up for that horrible tutu and... thing... from ST.
It does drop from quick ventures, not a good way, but just an FYI.
Two ninja bettas in a row turned in to Assassin Frys.
I can now afford to have gloves made and meld them out. Gives me a week to catch... All the fish... To get back to fisher BiS. That's so many fish backed by so much RNG fuckery (catch 5 of one fish to give you a two-minute buff that gives you a chance of catching another fish! Consecutive weather conditions!)
My gathering glamour is nonexistent now, though, since the professions will all share a set. Wat do.

I have successfully desynthed 11 of these bastards so far and nothing to show for it but a handful of sand. And yet I keep trying.

BRD and NIN is the same set, only the shoulder stuff is on the other side and the black/white are reversed(maybe other smaller details but that's mostly it). Same for DRG and MNK I believe, they share the same armor, just small differences.
I don't think Golons are capable of that.
How could you hear when I speak with my hands.
Also hotfix:
From what I understand adds would gain vulnerability stacks enhancing DoTs, but when Baned to the boss it would carry the super enhanced DoTs as if the boss has vulnerability too so you could push add phase super fast. Not really relevant to me yet but yeah! Blame SMNs and SCHs for getting the game shut down.

Best way I've seen is level leatherworker desynth and play either a Ninja or Monk so you can roll need on the belt that drops for them. Likely not getting it any other way since people need it just to trade it in most of the time, but it has a chance for multiple leather.

Leather drops from the armorsmith stuff as well, three chances from turn 4 versus the one as a MNK.
They really need to adjust how much xp you get for quests at higher levels. Going from 35-50 takes longer than getting from 1-35. I'm having such a hard time leveling my paladin without new dungeons to do and quests seem to not worth the time spent for the small amount of Xp.
Low level roulette gives about 75% of a level per day. It's also typical for the late levels to be more of a grind.
To get more XP, do fates especially with the ninja armies running around these days.
If it's your first char, yeah it's gonna be slower- but dungeons are still pretty good for XP.
Guess they'll have to git gud. Ninja gud.

Honestly amazed they let that one through when they should know how summoners and their dots/bane work. Then again they did put SS on most of the casting gear....so maybe they don't.
The tutu and the... thing were truly and heroically awful. I don't know which is worse but if I had to choose I would say the tutu due to tail erection. I'm looking forward to getting the caster chest since I need a new look and the stats are agreeable also.
So feeling a little down after a bad tanking experience earlier in ST.
Had something big written up about it but instead tl;dr version: SCH that had no pet out and was generally pretty bad died a lot, and didn't heal well. After they got kicked, two DPS badmouthed me, saying I was shit, only here due to my ilvl, etc. Ended up saying "fuck it" and did nothing for the final boss.
First time I've ever died that much in ST as tank.
Really brought me down after a relatively good morning.

It truly sucks that you had a bad experience but sulking in the corner because of a few harsh words and not pulling your part in the alliance doesn't really help the situation I reckon.
I'm pretty sick of ST now. I never really liked it that much and always preferred LoA. I'll be really glad when they add the next section. Thankfully I don't need anything from there right now.
