Yeah I'm digging the WoD tunes. The final boss theme is great also. It's got an old school, continental Europe vibe to it with the violin rif. I need to give these ones a proper listen.

The opening to that song gave me chills when I first did it. The music in the closing WoD cutscene was awesome too and a nice touch to include. All in all the CT series seemed like it would be a FF3 fan's wet dream. I mean I played FF3 so doing it was cool and all but I don't have a huge attachment to that game. If they did a raid series like that for FF4 in expansion (GIVE ME 4 FIENDS) I'd be over the moon.

All this music talk.

I'm not having an easy time putting together a Top 10 here because there's just so much good music. I guess pointing out those I'd casually listen to the most could work.

1. Rise of the White Raven
Because hell yeah Empire. THE final boss track for me even though I've never played 1.0. Seriously did T9 when people farmed it in 2.4 a lot just for the music. The better part of the Uematsu-Soken combo that is just so grossly underrated. I'd include Tempest here, too, which is like a classic Uematsu final boss track.
2. Turn 12
Spoiler alert?
3. Penitus
All of the music in the Praetorium is great, really.
4. Agent of Inquiry
5. World of Darkness Battle
Was a tie between this and Tumbling Down.
6. Embrace of Darkness
Mythflox the BGM. More or less "Yep, this is Uematsu" and most probably hate it after 2.2 but hey, it's good.
7. Wailers and Waterwheels
This just reminds me the most of the magic of the first time getting into the game.
8. Oblivion
Yes, the second one.
9. The Corpse Hall
10. Fealty

WoD music is amazing <3 and I got my healing robe this week.

I go into WoD and die at least 3 times. Maybe I'm just bad ;-;

No I don't think so at all! :) honestly, some of the mechanics in there have taken me some serious getting used to. I'm sure you're fine! <3 just keep practicing. And if MTQCapture ever comes out with a video for it, make sure to watch it! She's my favorite when it comes to XIV guides. She made Shiva Ex a breeze for me!

Not trying to excuse dumb people here, but there are a lot of mechanics on the raids (even the first two) that are completely unknown to people who have never done them before or even people who have done them few times or seldomly. I still learn knew ways that I'm playing wrong in the first two raids and I've done them a couple times each. It really doesn't help when the people who do know how to do it start calling people idiots in /a instead of trying to explain things, but that's what happens 99% of the time.

the issue is that no one says anything so the absence of a response means they know what they're doing. then they look dumb when they die to mechanics because they didn't speak up

Yeah it actually works really well for the fight too. I think WoD is a really great addition from all angles. :) I wonder why they chose FF III...

Some great tracks. There is so much great music in the game. Number 1 though has bad memories for me. That's when your party finder group has finally made it passed golems and then the crazy opera stuff kicks in and everybody starts dying like flies :-(.

Let's be honest, if the game spammed your screen with how to do all the mechanics in a fight in text, people still wouldn't know the mechanics.

I've been leveling up my armorer class since my leves capped, is leveling up the armorer to level 50 worth it for end game stuff?

Three part raid with two fiends each in the first two and then an endurance fight against all for in a row with more complex mechanics in the last?

finally got enkidu!
not going to bother that much with puff of darkness, didn't get ct2's minion either
got sch dread book for my sub that i haven't touched in a long time, twine and caster earrings, not bad haul all things considered

Well, there's not shit coming out the next few months that I care about. So I decided to dive back in. Haven't played in probably a year. Going to be hard to get back in and figure out all the controls/strategies and shit again.

EDIT: Level 34 Paladin. So many skills I don't remember how to use. On the plus side, my 970 makes this game look pretty good, even with only 3.5 gigs.

Thank you for the invite back to the Ultros FC! Been a long long time for me. Looking forward to putting a lot more time in soon.

Ehhh not really but leveling most of your crafts to 40-50 allows you very very cheap repairs that you can do even in dungeons.

Lesson learned: Don't go with Exelon to CT/ST unless you like missing s marks.

Uhm, well I was at that point like 2 days ago
So lemme try and remember.

Shield lob the first enemy. Then flash the rest for aggro. Fast blade->savage blade->rage of halone. If you ever run out of MP, Fast Blade->Riot Blade. Anyways, occasionally hit the other enemies with your savage blade and rage of halone to hold aggro from the healer. Use provoke to instantly steal aggro (by one point higher than the current holder) from a teammate in need. Use your cooldowns as you see fit :p
A-anything I missed?

^
Thanks for that. I was doing some random side missions that were way below my level just trying to get back in the groove. Some skill order tips are exactly what I need.

LiQuid!

I proudly and openly admit to wishing death upon the mothers of people I don't like
I actually did WoD tonight for the 2nd time and it was relatively smooth. We wiped on Cerberus because apparently the group I was in forgot to leash him (oops?), but that was the only trouble we had the entire run. Nobody was being a dick. People were asking questions about encounters and getting answers. It was actually kind of amazing.

STOP STANDING IN THE FIRE DUMBASS.

or variation thereof should pop up if you've died to same mechanic multiple times in single lockout.

Did WoD today and got nothing.

We wiped 3 times on Cloud of Darkness before beating it because we somehow ended up getting wiped before the last set of Hypercharged Clouds.

It would be cool if they could redesign the game again except with Dragon's Dogma's combat. All these huge bosses yet I can't use my shield to boost people up to grab onto them.

I don't understand how you can look at this and not immediately want to Fantasia.

The clothing may all be designed for
people who like ogling scantily clad
cat girls, but we get all the best emotes.

to a catgirl so you can be a beautiful cat bride.

When exactly in the process do you get the dress?

You should have received it when you started the quest. The outfitter NPC you talk to gives you the wedding set, which includes the veil, the dress, the stockings, and the booties.

Oh, I found the full image of this:

Farmed Titan EX yesterday for the Pony, and got my self the Nighmare Pony!

We farmed it with 1 tank (me) 1 sch (my friend from the static) and 6 random dps.

we had a blast, at every 20% hp we only had 2 dps alive the rest got carried for like 10 runs lawl.

The fight is so brilliant, i love it. Also WoD sucks.. i do my weekly and get the fuck out.

i was in a random WoD last week with crawling dps. i don't think we wiped, but believe me it was worse than wiping. i haven't seen such lazy people before. pretty sure i did outdps most people while MTing in craft accessories.

Yeah, stuff like Vanya, Cashmere, Arachne, Swansgrace and Swanliege if you do PvP, and unweathered Daystar plus Ironworks.

If it has a circle on the top right of the item icon it means it's dyeable.

any end game blms can point out whether it's better to fireweave the last fire before blizzard 3 or just do normal blizzard 3 and then transpose if you have firestarter proc?
as in fire > surecast (for example) > immediately press fire 3 and then blizzard 3 as compared to fire > blizzard 3 > thunder 1 > transpose > fire 3?

Pew pew pew pew.

Yesterday I hit lvl 30 Thaumaturge and was happy to finally get Black Mage (Thunder procs actually make the class a little more fun to play), then I saw my Archer was lvl 6, and with that I went to bed.

I've seen that person around. Do you think they know 'Coco Chanel' is spelt with one 'n' or am I missing the joke?

Isn't the issue that you won't see your Firestarter proc in time because you will immediately go into Blizzard without delay. Therefore you need to cast it when you go back to fire and you would do transpose before to boost the damage.
