This is how you get the issues with SMN itemization at i130. Spell Speed is mainly a BLM stat and it's all over the place due to a shared loot pool.

I don't think he's saying for it to be shared equipped items but a shared token drop. e.g., there's no BLM Gloves and SMN Gloves from the same boss but simply a Caster token for them to both get to then turn into an item.

Tanking Bone Dragon someplace other than the middle platform is a primal thing. If you tank him anywhere else you are a terrible tank and should feel bad.

Well, for one, my point was that it isn't just a Primal thing because I'm on the Chaos data center and have never seen him tanked middle since the day LoTA was released. The rest of your post is just plain douchery so I won't bother replying seeing as though it doesn't apply to me anyway.

On Aether he is always in the center. Just saying.

Yeah, sorry if that wasn't clear. Ideally every class would have their own unique set but share a token. This way different classes can get different stat set ups, have unique gear, and it doesn't overbloat the loot tables.

Or again, pretty much the antique system they have now for AF2 gear. The only real problem here is that it means they would need to design more unique gear, though some of the unique allagan gear between classes already look pretty similar

Yeah I'm well aware of him being tanked in the center on many data centers. I was pointing out that saying its only primal is wrong.

I don't know what is up with Ultros and tanking him up north. Never understood it when I read about it here.

They've had a good track record in terms of stability, no mishaps like T5. Second coil really seems like a very...experimental? time for them. First coil was extremely basic in mechanics in comparison, and it was there as a building block sort of thing. Second coil just throws a ton of different mechanics, often pass/fail, at you non stop without any real sense of pacing. Which is why I think it destroyed as many statics as it did. Redoing the same mechanics over and over because someone messed up one of the 15 different pass/fails was frustrating at times. In third coil, they have really taken what they learned from second and went back to the more simpler nature of first while keeping the challenge of second in. Mechanics build upon themselves more naturally, and it never really feels like a slog. T13 is the longest fight in the game at 14m enrage, but it was so so much easier to learn than T9, and much better paced. The whole fight fits together better, rather than a marathon of mechanic changes every few minutes.

That sounds great, and I'm really encouraged for the expansion based on impressions like yours (and others recently posted in here) combined with all the content they've added since I left the game for close to a year (right around when Crystal Tower opened). The developers seem a lot more sure of themselves and what works and what doesn't, so that combined with the idea that everything is now going to be new (versus 1.0 reborn) is really exciting.

I don't know why but I assume it's just to separate the skeleton spawn point from the stack of people.

Unfortunately, everything still fucks up so whatever.

Like I already stated I don't play on Ultros so yeah. Not sure why you're directing this at me.

you should know these things anyway

apparently

Edit: Idle curiosity, what's your Cerberus done as normally? All DPS to belly or A/B/C? I've seen a few mentions that A/B/C seems to be yet another Primal thing but I have no idea if that's true.

I've seen both all DPS in belly and A/B/C.

I've seen WoD alliances fail at both methods.

I've seen some shit. WoD is suffering.

This is my experience as well. I'm one and done for WoD every week. Having every class at 50 gives me that luxury I guess. Did 42 runs first week ugh.

Man trying to carry a healer through T9 was a lot harder than I thought. Lunar Dynamo with lag is disheartening at times.

Who started this all dps in the belly things?

What I've seen a lot of is A stays out, B goes in, C healer/tanks stay out for adds/boss(whichever they're on) while DPS goes in too. It's fast enough to be honest, and I don't think you can fit every DPS in the raid in there anyway, he stops eating after a while. It doesn't make much of a difference either way cause I've never seen a DF WoD kill him before the 2nd eating phase, and at that point you're just saving 15-30secs by having more DPS in it or not. It's like people not chaining him right away because "more DPS". He still dies on the 2nd stomach regardless anyway, the only thing you're doing is wasting everyone's time if mess up and don't reattach in time since then you wipe.

This is actually not entirely about the total kill time but just less time spent with Cerberus doing stuff, less adds going around, etc.

It is slightly less time yeah, but you also have to account for the amount of time everyone loses by running into the mini, then into the goop, then waiting to get eaten, then loading in, then loading out, on top of losing various rotation stuff like GL3 and Astral 3 and so on. That damage lost is basically the damage you'd dedicate to killing the 2-3more adds you get if there's not +8DPS in the stomach. Now, if B is a bunch of idiots and terrible players, then you would lose DPS by not sending more people because it'll take forever so you get like 8 adds or whatever, but as long as they're semi competent, the kill time is pretty much the same and the main difference in overall kill time is more about how good your raid DPS is in general.

Ultimately, the kill times are close enough that it doesn't really matter too much. The only thing I really say should be done is the one DPS from each Alliance to just LB but even that is more just about using the LB instead of not and is pretty much unnecessary.

It's WoD, the only real requirement is mechanics being done really.

Wait, all DPS is an actual think for Cerb? I thought the guy today was just joking... hell a lot of us did so when no one said anything to it, the ABC method was done instead. Our problem wasn't anything to do with who went inside or not though. Our problem was that we had 3 tanks who just didn't want to tank.

I still don't know who started the Cerb fight (we didn't wipe though haha) but I do know enmity switched around a lot... most of them non-tanks for the first 20 - 30+% of his hp.

My 3rd WoD run and also the messiest. But we still didn't wipe on any boss surprisingly.

WHERE'S MY FUCKING TANK DROP YOSHIDA? So far I have more DRG drops than tank coil drops. We don't even run DRG.

Fuck that man, I've still never seen ONE DRG piece in FCoB. Not a single one. Seen gear for literally every other job, such as the 9000th Bracelets of Fending that the tanks don't want because they have melded, or 500th healer drop.

FCoB has been brutal to me on the RNG.

I thought hair, glamour, and Fantasia bets were bad, but with eyebrow bets people have unlocked a whole new degree of terror.

/random paying off in a big, big way.

So the Alex infusion process has forced me to start spiritbonding, in hopes of getting Savage Might IV's, and I've actually been enjoying it despite the RNG. Part of the fun is selling IV's I don't need for 200k each. Making 1/2 a mil per day and after 3 days have found two Savage Might IV's as well. This part of the Zenith quest is really not that bad.

Still dreading collecting light in the next step though.

LiQuid!

I proudly and openly admit to wishing death upon the mothers of people I don't like
About a week ago I listed 3 Mummer Wrasse for 1k each.

Right after, some guy on the market board listed 3 of them for 999 each.

We were the only non-HQ listings of these on the board.

We spent the ensuing week undercutting each other by 1 gil every day.

My 3 just sold for 992/ea and his are still up for 993/ea.

This is one of the more amusing things that's happened to me since I started playing the game. I wish I knew who the other guy is. I wonder if he found that little skirmish as entertaining as I did.
