The most important part of the video is the perfectly frozen Storm salute during Diamond Dust, which massively outweighs my later blunder in getting clipped by circle icicles because I got greedy with casts at one point.

It being dyeable is the best part--the glamour possibilities! Jet black would probably work pretty well.
I'd probably just dye it gold and go back to Lightning glamour, because I am a monster.

What I wouldn't give to have had access to that Market Board. Gotta start stacking up Materia as I work on finishing up my Yoshimitsu Animus. I'd like to try and have at least Novus before the next tier of Zodiac Quests come out.
Gryvan's been out of the game for ages and he's still in here sprouting hopefuls.
Realistically, either tank works for the Cube. I can solo DPS (as SMN) the Cube while full DoTs on the Sphere so it's easier for me to DPS both than it is for a BLM to switch between the two constantly. BLM does less damage but are able to tunnel the entire phase.
Could always have both casters go on the Cube and tell your physical DPS to git gud.
Man, I really need to clear Ramuh EX so I can do Shiva before she comes irrelevant.

I think Shiva'll be good for a while. Fastest way to get an i110 weapon and the i120 bracelets are generally pretty legit.

Yeah, I still run all the Primals for Fun, not loot.
Except Moogle EX, nobody likes running that one for some reason.
Edit: Also, I'm starting to think the Echo/Nerf patch for Coil won't be coming this week. Call me crazy, but if it was, I think we'd have heard about it by now.
Nobody runs Mog because it's the most annoying (especially on controller), it's long, the music is bad, and he doesn't even have a pony. Second least favorite thing in the game.
And they'll probably nerf coil Thursday night. One to two days for maint announcement wouldn't be surprising.

Ifrit always did more (theoretical) DPS but requires stricter management of your pet. The biggest reason for not using him is probably because you lose contagion by not having Gardua out which is possibly a huge overall DPS loss.
I don't play Summoner so I could be completely wrong about this, but that's the way I understand it.
100% uptime on DK and Storm's Eye, plus Ifrit-Egi already at a theoretical higher (especially in short term scenarios which a lot of FInal Coil is with the way the phases work). I'd need to watch their SMN to figure out how they're dealing with the MP consumption problem, though. You run dry a lot faster due to the Contagion loss so either Ballad or X-Ether + Energy Drain is necessary and the latter should be a bigger DPS loss than the gain.
So I'm trying to put together a static that focuses on Coil 2 and Primals EX. Right now there are no times set in stone or days but we are looking to run 1-2 times a week at night starting between 8-10 pm est. Right now there is currently 3 members(non GAF) and we have 1 tank and 2 DPS. If anyone is interested they can pm me here or send a tell in game at Marron Fahl.
This is a learning static meaning that some of us have not done Coil 2 and some need Ramuh Ex clears and so on. I would also ask that minimum ilvl of 100 would be required which I don't think is too much to ask. If you are making your way up and are say stuck on T5 we can also arrange to get you through it as well. Other than that if you feel you don't have patience for learning then this may not be for you as we really don't want to bother with hot headed people.

Your MP would be decimated if you constantly swapped out pets (~530 per). If I go full throttle with Garuda (i.e., Ruin 2 weaves for AA timing), I'd run out of MP around halfway into most fights.
Also, no, refreshing DoTs will overwrite their original potency so you can't just refresh DoTs all fight and keep the frontloaded RS'd/Pot'd DoTs. I guess in theory you could bring Garuda back out when RS/Pot resync (~9m into the fight) but that's still trying to fit in 1596 MP into the fight out of nowhere.
Edit: But, seriously, if you have Ballad in rotation, I think Ifrit would come out ahead. Especially with debuffs applicable to Ifrit that Garuda doesn't get to utilize.

Good luck man, I recently had to resuscitate the same sort of group, (Was on hiatus for several weeks after we lost several people.)
Also, don't let people give you a hard time for being behind. Sometimes circumstances just don't work out for being at the front-lines, so to speak.

Yeah I just thought about the mp to change constantly when I came back to the pc, would have loved if it was viable though (pet juggling fun). The reason I thought the dots would stay the original strength if overwritten is because of something I read on casting a buffed dot over a normal dot not overwriting with the buffed potency due to server stuff (server magic didn't seem friendly to dots, like the amount of ticks depending on what time you cast). Good that wasn't true then.

Alright, GAF, how do I bard
1) Should I keep up Flamming Arrow all the time?
2) Dungeon trash mob! Do I put up my DOTs on 1 mob and Rain of Death the rest?
3) What about the songs? Mage ballad is not a problem, but when should I use Foe and Army's during fights? I saw some BRDs keeping up Army's as they spammed Rain of Death during large groups of mobs. Foe is most useful to SMN and BLM, what about other DPS? Do MNK and DRG expect me to Army's Paeon them during dungeons?
I love that they got the finger snap in there. Though these rock/metal themes just never really work for me. I wish they would stop with that.
Man, I'm so behind on my ex primals, it's a f**king disgrace.
1. Yes, it's off GCD so weave it in between attacks.
2. Depends on who you ask. If it's a lot of small mobs that will die in like 10 seconds I'd just Quick Knock spam if you can hit everything or just Wide Volley if not. If it's like ST ogres, just dot up everything and Quick Knock.
3. If you have a caster throw up Foes + Battle Voice on the pull. Paeon is whatever in regular dungeons.
Scrub tips inc:
It's bonus DPS, so using it when it's up is smart. Worth holding if you know there'll be a chance to better use it in the near future, or if Hawk's Eye is almost up. AFAIK, HE is the only buff that impacts flaming arrow damage significantly.
If three or less, DOT. Over three, AOE, but generally use Quick Knock if positioning works out and Wide Volley if it doesn't. RoD on free procs (disclaimer: I'm too lazy to position and just Wide Volley everything. It is TP inefficient but stuff usually dies OK.)
Foe Req always in dungeons if you have a caster. Paeon isn't really expected in non-endgame content; it murders your DPS and there aren't many dungeon encounters that should drain your TP + Invigorate without a chance to recharge.
For Req is also useful in burn phases if the healer is DPSing (or in gigantic AOE pulls when Holy Spam happens); it's also the only song that debuffs enemies instead of buffing your party. This is mostly useful in CT and ST, since if there's a caster in another party you can Foe Req to boost their damage even if you don't have a caster in yours. Bards should do this more often.
But the most important part of Bard is Amon's Hat. Get it immediately.
