Sry if this has been asked already but is there still a way to get the i90 Myth gear in 2.4 or did SE completely remove them from the game? I'd really like to have them for glamour purposes.

What do you need them for glamour for? They have the exact same design as the gear you got your your level 45 and 50 job quests.

Call me nitpicky but I think the Wyrm Armor Set looks better than the Drachen Armor set despite having the same overall design. But looking at Frumix' post it's probably not worth the grind.

Yes, 2.3 had it much easier, you could obtain the full armor set in an hour.

Is this the reason why you need much more Allied Seals now to get i100 equipment from the Hunt Vendor? To prevent new players from gearing up too fast? (not criticizing it, just pure curiosity)

Odd numbered patches are for catch up and will make old tier gear cheap and easy to get; 2.5 should do to the sold gear what 2.3 did to myth gear since by that point everyone will have outfitted their main class in poetics stuff and CT3 will we assume drop i120 gear. Right now sold gear is still somewhat relevant.

Get the attire augmentation stuff and you can dye your AF gear whatever color you want.

Googled the Augmentation stuff and saw the requirements. I don't think I can afford that but thanks for the info anyway :p

I see. Seems like I started with the wrong patch to do all the catch up but I won't complain since I am having a lot of fun with this game.

it's not so bad as all that--soldiery isn't as free-flowing as myth was last patch but you should get it at a decent enough clip to gear up (the only daily I ever do is trial roulette and I've still somehow accumulated enough soldiery in a couple weeks to fully outfit an alt class with a ton left over so it's got to be coming from somewhere.) There's also Syrcus Tower for unlimited i100 and the freshly nerfed T6/T7 for relatively easy i110 gear. It's a bad time if you want the specific myth gear look, I guess, but personal progression should be okay.

Things right now are just paced to still take some small amount of time/effort to get to i110; next patch will be focused on getting more people overgeared to get them into Final Coil and the old stuff will flow freely since it won't at all matter at that point.

Besides that, running the new Expert dungeons is one of the best sources of Poetics anyway so you're bound to get the pieces eventually.

Truth to be told, gearing a job from scratch can take some time in 2.4. As someone pointed out, things should be easier in 2.5.

Now, Crystal Tower 2 is still a good place for getting ilvl 100 gear and tokens used to improve martial equipment. On the other hand, we are talking about a 40min raid.
T6 and T7 are great opportunities to get i110 stuff, and once again tokens. But whereas you can enter CT2 with a weak equipment, this is not the case for these, and despite being nerfed the party still need to know the strategy perfectly to avoid wipes (not to mention you have to down T5 beforehand). On the subject of T1 to T5, T1 and T2 became so easy it would be a mistake to not farm those if you still need ilvl 90 gear. Caduceus is a joke now.

If you can't be assed to do a 40 minute run and hunts for welfare tomes/sands, you really shouldn't be playing this game.

Okay, I've thus far been too busy today to check personally, but I'm really really curious at this point.

Is that DDoS attack still going on, or have the servers seemingly recovered?

Now I kind of want to DF T6 and T7 because I can't believe perfection is required at this point.

...I may also want to puke voice all over people who annoy me.

Perfection wasnt necessary before either. Seen plenty of parties get a stoned member, only to go on and clear.

Well you shouldn't be playing the game with the goal of gearing up for end game at least :p

I think it's more just about the grinding needed. Pretty much everything you could do in the game will require some form of grinding.

even GAF can do them!

We had attempts with "lol Shrieked everyone" that still got the clear. That should say a lot. Still haven't done T6 post-change but it should be hilarious.

That said, I'd imagine the fights still being a bit of a learning curve for people who have never experienced the fights at all. They're a lot easier to recover / a lot easier to do with only a few people who know the fight but they still do have some parts that people should be aware of (e.g., T7's melee adds still hurt, Fireball is still an issue).

It will absolutely take you an insanely long time because tokens share the loot tables with myth accessories and myth mats and even in the case they do drop you'll have to compete with 3 people on your party that can all need on it just as well as you can. Loot table between the dungeons is identical. I believe the first boss drops gloves and boots, second boss drops pants and head and the last boss drops the body. Something like that.

Eh, no one is rolling on that stuff anymore. I keep seeing it drop to the floor rip.

DF'd turn 6 earlier. Easily burned through it. I was the only new person. It's super easy now... I look forward to doing t8 when I actually have to learn mechanics, as well as t9z

I keep seeing players roll on cooking sherry. There was one dungeon where I had two repeats of tome items. Saurian skin and emery I think lol. What a fucking troll that was

Question about Imdugud's pray debuff.
Does Blood for Blood count against the shield with its 25%?
I just wonder why our dragoon and our monk keep getting the debuff despite Adlo etc..

When your question is "Could Blood for Blood be the reason you died?" the answer is always yes.

Of course it does. The shield has to block 100% of prey damage. Blood 4 blood adds 25% more damage so that's 25% more that adlo/SS/both need to block. Prey is, I think, 700 damage on me with nothing up as a BLM for reference.

I guess you were lucky being with experienced people 'cause honestly it's not that easy for people who have never done it before. I was trying it with a learning party this evening and it's a good stiff challenge even with nerfs. Obviously people that have been practicing a harder version for months would think differently.

It's f**king great though. It's a really awesome fight and I'm glad they have democratised it for the masses. I think they did a good job because I'm not ashamed to say that it's no cake walk for me. I reckon Twinatania's a cake walk compared to this but maybe I just need to get used to the mechanics. It's just so fast, claustrophobic and hectic and then it's - STOP - okay go. Ha ha. Love it.

It was a super long shot but I was hoping to get some practice in DF in T9 since I didn't have enough experience with the last phases to get into a farm group. Sadly all the group did was fail at meteor placement or watch 3-4 people eat dynamo. Will have to find some other way I suppose!

4th raid time this last week that's been disrupted by shitty american internet providers or shitty non-ddos protected Canadian data centres.

We got 1 attempt at T10 which we took to 1% before the 2nd run Asami DC's.

I want to murder someone.

Could be worse... you could have wiped on T12 at .02% ;-;.

Yeah, and we've already cleared it before, just doing weekly farm (which after only 1 clear takes a couple attempts at least, which we haven't gotten cause of this fucking internet shit), so it's not that bad.

Also this is so frustrating. Every week at minimum someone in our group has internet issues. Either lags or 90k's or outright disconnects.

XIV's servers have been pretty poor since patch tbh. We had our fair share of issues as well. :/
