We can probably count the number of times that this has happened on one hand though, where someone's internet just straight up goes out in a puff of smoke.
We've have all of like 3 attempts at T10 this week without a disconnect or extreme lag. Last week, we barely got any T11 practice in. This is making me hate the game as the only big enjoyment left is from raiding.
We did try T6-T8 as a static today (with a quick sub) to see what it was like nerfed. It was an absolute joke. T6 and T7 should be unwipeable with a video watch for new players. T8 just requires a bit of tower co-ordination / party movement still, but it's not much.
Yeah, but harsh internet connection lag is basically same as an outright disconnect, as that player is useless and it makes the attempts useless. And we have a lot of people who have stuttering lag at least once every couple of weeks.

It's weird to read about all of the issues, as I have almost never had a problem on the Japanese servers.
Is it just a case of the NA data centers being shit?
I think I have had on disconnect in total, and that was because of a PSN outage.

I don't like Titan extreme. I'd rather be doing Garuda ex. That is all.
They don't respect the customer / audience in NA, so they don't feel they need to invest for customer satisfaction and experience. Keep profit margins high by keeping operations low as dictated by parent company.

Yep it's pretty awesome to get absolutely gamebreaking lag in raids. At first it was ATT for me which I fixed by killing their modem functions and having everything divert to my router. Since the patch though it's just been shit NA datacenters where I'm fine all day and then "suddenly" it's raid time and my connection in raids just outright shits the bed. I've dealt with lag in raids before and usually it wasn't that bad, but without something like WTFast now, lag ends up being me sitting there for 30+ secs seeing the first add on t10 still alive at 60% health.....to everything catching up and the group being on the 3rd add and us being so far behind on dps now that we may as well just wipe.
Mumble and everything else work perfectly fine though. Resetting my router/modem does shit all and after a few wipes due to the lag it gets to the point where we may as well not even try that night because we can't even get to a point we need to practice more. Me lagging, combined with others getting constant hiccups at the same time, does not make for a good time. I have WTFast now for a few more weeks, but if they do nothing with the servers in the meantime, after that few weeks is up I may as well not even try anymore.

Yeah, lag got pretty bad once peak hours kicked in. Makes me glad I play during the day but this is getting on the silly side.

Not to mention healers need to know what CD the tank(s) are using otherwise it's bye bye during specific phases.
Titan Ex is still my favorite Primal fight, together with Levi Ex.

That and I've met some really cool people to supplement my real life friends when they aren't around/I don't want to deal with them D:
The only thing I've liked about this fight is the music, everything else can get bent. It doesn't help that I'm a DRG and thus have the magic DEF of a wet paper bag. The fight can be very unforgiving if mess up even one AoE dodge. Jump animation locks have killed me more often then I'd like.
My biggest beef with it right now is the fact that no one sticks around to grind it out once we fail once or twice. There's a lot more prima donnas out there then I thought. Goblin is very unfriendly when it comes to new people and high lvl content. I myself am still "new" and im willing to grind it out for first timers. Been spamming the hell out of this since The Navel Extreme was made available to me last week.
These PUGs make me worry for Moogle extreme which I haven't even qued up for once yet :x

There a million things we could of done better in the final phase though, it's not like it was a perfect run and we are just falling short. Most of the time the 1%ish you can get from max pots use can be fixed by skill or strategy change, and I'd rather do that then crafting hundreds of pots every week when learning new fights.

Mog EX from my experience in DF, has been a bit more of a pleasent experience than trying to DF Titan EX. Your mileage may vary

I'm pretty sure it's contagious at this point. We almost never have any connection issues but the past 3 weeks have been pretty bad. I finally called my ISP last night and it seems I'm getting 60% packet loss on top of some other signal issues. Tech will be coming out next Monday but I will have to deal with it for the rest of this week. It's playable but the server latency makes it much worse.

Poison potions are a waste until your group is comfortable enough with the last phase of the fight where a kill is possible. You have multiple alchemists in your group, so it's not like it would take forever. Any extra damage that doesn't really screw up your rotation adds a little bit more room for error. SMNs can Contagion poison pots for more damage as well. Complaints about being too poor are outright lies.

You can always spend most of your gil on materia or other expensive items so that you can sell them on the server you transfer to in order to "keep" most of your gil. If you have more than you're allowed to transfer with that is. If you want to go the extra mile, make a new character on the server you're moving to just so you can research the market board to see what sells for what! As for gear I don't think you lose any at all.
Didn't look like Ultros got hit with anything either, but we had to keep the streak alive so my ISP had a 6 hour outage during my raid instead.

I believe you can only transfer a certain amount. I have no idea what the cap is though, the one time I transferred I only had like 100k gil to my name so it wasn't an issue.

Oh yeah, you have nothing to worry about. The only thing that you might be interested in doing is researching the mb on the server you are transferring to, might luck out and find something you can buy for 100k on your current server and sell for 400k on your new server.
Pretty much. A lot of basic rotation mistakes cost us that, not a lack of poison pots. At this gear level, we shouldn't need to use pots to make up for anything. If we were rocking i110 and VIT melds, sure.

Buy those coin pouches or whatever. Buy materials that you see are running high on the other server. Transfer material goods assured to sell and you're golden. Just gotta do a bit of money laundering.
I see your pro fishing gear! Plus, the argument for "it's not needed" can be applied to many cross-class skills, crafted gear, or food... but people are generally okay with the larger one-time time/gil investment in character improvements over a repetitive, yet vastly cheaper investment.

Pretty much. When I transferred servers, I just bought a bunch of stuff to get below the million mark and then easily made it back when I sold everything on the new server.
New dungeons.
