I just want to know what the hell Thomas is doing, what are you up to Fanatec?
Yep, not a fucking bean.

Yeah, looks great right up until the Xbox One goes into Salvador Dali mode and the screens start to melt and bend.

I think we need a GIF starting at 26 seconds.
Shot on an early video-capable DSLR with rolling shutter issues, perhaps?
Spa looked fine to me.
But what is wrong with the sun at Spa on the girl's display @ 0:48? she's driving right towards it and it looks really strange.
Looks really good.
And quite literally not possible until the technology was available.
No day one update?
When did that happen?
Oh, BTW, did you guys see those muscle and sport car intros by Hammond and May ?
I wonder how comes we didn't get to see any of those cars' engine bays.
Strange design decision, since Clarkson's hypercars intro had plenty engine shots and closeups........
Those clips (Hammond and May) looked lazily put together, with arbitrary distortion cuts and fairly boring pans. Not as orchestrated as the original Clarkson bit. I mean...I hope what's in-game is different, because it looked weirdly fan-made to me. Even the video, shot-to-shot, seemed composed of different quality clips (or at least exhibited different levels of aliasing).
And let me know how the Drivatar works.I'll let you know how it is.
went a bit through racing forums looking for thurstmaster tx information, since they dont give us any infos or reviews.
insidesimracing has a post form a eurogamer italy guy (dunno if he is real), which gives the following informations after talking personally to thrustmaster folks:
- TX wheelbase is compatible to T500 periphals
- using the same technology as the T500 incl. new improvements
- PC compatible
- 458 rim is the same from the 430 wheel
- they switched to the f150 rim and it worked
Yeah I'm not sure about PC compatibility, it'd be nice and I could think about selling the Fanatec gear and PS3 but nobody has mentioned it yet.
Says the wheel is compatible with T500 peripherals but the shifter model number is different too.
"Forza comes with 200 cars and 14 tracks ON DISC" certainly means there's more content you're entitled to, waiting for you OFF DISC.
That much is clear.
.
yup. i posted about this last week when the floodgates broke. sounds like day 1 free dlc and more content has been bumped for paid dlc down the road. sweep it under the rug, pretend no one noticed.
The only way Id consider buying one is if it worked with my club sport pedals.
I'd be delighted if they worked.
Hell of a downgrade there.
yes, much worse than Clarkson's.
Even the models themselves are not as good.
And those tires ? They are outdated, and we see at the very least 2 different versions of those in those vids..
Brakes, rims...paint shaders too, they are not the same quality as those hypercars' from Clarkson's vid and much closer to Forza 4.
Those segments were probably filmed and edited a while ago, i guess...
But no engine closeups...hmmm....if i didn't know better, and if T10 hadn't told me ALL cars are autovista now, one might even think what autovista means here is, for most cars, simply being able to open the doors and check the interiors.
Oh, but it can't be.
Ever since it was revealed that ALL cars would be Forzavista, I've assumed that not all cars would be treated equally. I never thought that shitboxes would receive the same detail and attention that hypercars would.
Maybe that is indeed the case? That muscle car video seems to suggest so. Production values are not in the same league as Autovista in FM4.

those models in the hammond and may vid didnt look much better than forza 4 models tbh..oh yea dlc
Well, YOU should... yes
That's my point.
So why 200 cars ?
I can't wait to find out that most returning cars are FM4 models with doors (no hood or trunk) you can open, to reveal the exact same, decent quality, FM4 interior.
You'll see.
personally I will feel right if forza 5 gets a MINUS 5-10 points overall, because of microsoft's shitty dlc tactics.T
The truth will be revealed soon, and i think T10 won't be able to advertise their racer as "the highest rated racing franchise of the whatever" next time.
Even worse, it's not even funny :/Oh Jesus, it's a series...
Burnout minigame has better tyre smoke than the actual game

if fact I would like one metacritic point less for every un-fuckin justified dollar more!!
but that aint happening, so yeah, 5-10 on overall score points please!
maybe we should prepare an email about ms dlc policy and send it cc'd to all major game review sites?
that would certainly put a counter weight to microsoft's ad moniez....
p.s.
I'm still getting the game day 1, I still believe it will be the best launch game, but as i said, I dont like my ass getting grabbed by microsoft's greedy suits!

Those who are dead set on getting an XOne, wouldn't now be the best time to get a wheel? You're pretty much guaranteed it'll be of use for the duration of the console's lifetime, rather than waiting past halfway or near the end, only to have Microsoft say "screw you" and declare your wheel incompatible with Xbox Two.
