Well you see, nothing wrong with that, I have no issue with an opinion, I simply don't say things like "needing to" or they "want' this or that etc based on it.

I think she is pretty, but shit I thought that since she was on The 100 lol

I would never say Sony's intent or they want to make the sexist woman from CW lol

That is just my opinion, I don't know what it is tbh
I actually like the cut of her gib. That scene when she’s sucking on the straw made me smile. No fucks given kind of girl, and I like it.

After watching the trailer, I am convinced that Joel's death also marked the end of the male protagonist in Naughty Dog games. There's no doubt about it. I hope they don't continue to escalate things to turn it into a narrative of good women vs. bad men.
This will be the first of their games that I won't buy on release. I don't doubt its quality, it's just that over time, you have fewer hours available to play, and the ones I have, I plan to use wisely

I couldn't give a shit less about that character design. I'd have to see gameplay here but the boring, cliche "retro Sci-Fi" aesthetic instantly disinterests me and the lame enemy design and melee weapon design was the icing on the cake.

Again, who knows what this even actually is but my gut reaction was that I don't need a Hollywood-ass Marvel-y version of Returnal.

I legit feel like I'm playing someone's fetish in recent naughty dog titles. Joel and Nate immediately resonated with me but they've completely abandoned that approach now.

Like, ill still play it if it's good but I'm not hyped at all about it.

The backlash The Last of Us Part II received online was one of the worst in gaming history and it still managed to sell over 15M copies (based on leaks).

How the everyday consumer feels is different than the small gaming community online.

If gamers were overly concerned about "attractive" female characters, then Steller Blade and Bayonetta would sell 5-8 million copies in the first 12 months, but they don't.
Small marketing budget vs. multi million dollar marketing campaign, maybe even near the production cost of Stellar Blade/Bayonatta.

Let all those raging feminists with shaved head support it, just like concord xD

Maybe the sold 15M but at what price. Game is at 30€ (somewhere ever less) last two years (at least) and there were few sales in that time and the price was 10€.

"Available as of October 4th for $19.99, the following blockbusters are being added to Sony’s Greatest Hits Label: God of War, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, GT Sport, Rayman Legends, Far Cry 4, The Crew and Watch Dogs."

God of War was officially $19.99 less than two years after its release. This happens a lot.

This trailer don't remember Marvel/Guardians of the Galaxy in nothing. lol

People keep saying that and is just bullshit. This trailer has the ton and style of Blade Runner and Cowboy Bebop.

In before the…..

I’m 28 pages too late.

I have no stock in this argument, but I’m never shocked by the narrow-mindedness on display.

My take on the trailer - it looks like it could be a really fun sci-fi adventure set in an alternate 80’s timeline.

I’m surprised that the Porsche spaceship didn’t breakdown on the way to the planet though. I hope she’s with the AA.
Yeah fuck you buddy.

Evolved1

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
naughty dog is basically gaming royalty imo... and that reveal was a big miss. the pure disinterest i feel is surprising. hard to believe.

Well, there isn't much context. The model is unremarkable, it's just a person. It's realistic in a mundane sort of way. I agree that the model/design fits in a pragmatic sense (having long hair in space must be a hassle, for example)

the weird aspect is the dialog and directing that makes the whole package......sus. to say the least.
This I agree with as well didn’t really get much from it and that cutscene was indeed very generic and the dialogue was boring and uninspired

I hate when things are indeed woke and feel like an agenda is being pushed but I personally did not get that feeling from what we saw

I'ma join up just to meet her (I'll just google tid bits about the conflict on the flight over to make conversation) lol

You wild to think that sir

I know Sony only wants to start showing soonish type games,....I still doubt 2025 though

Its 2026-27. We know Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei is next year.

The MC reminds me of Wraith from Apex Legends, but the design feels like a missed chance for ND. If TLoU leaned into a "progressive" agenda, why not create a non-binary or tomboyish MC with a bit more boldness? Not every game needs sexualization, but this feels almost censored.

While the game looks great, it could’ve been an opportunity to boost ND’s reputation and spark a different conversation—like how Wraith fan art often retains feminine, stylized features.

I take your Wraith (from Apex Legends) and raise you with Nara from Chorus.

in 80's 90's we didn't care. We had Sigourney Weaver, Linda Hamilton, Grace Jones then we had Jamie Lee Curtis, Kathleen Turner Brigette Neilson ,Halley Berry with Margot Kidder in the middle. I don't know what the fuck is going now. Any women with a slight build is now labeled woke. It looks like ND did face and body scan of the actress and GAF has deemed it fugly and masculine. In a trailer were nothing really happens is all setup is now woke. Princess Leia sounds masculine according to gaf so did a lot of women 80's action stars. Shit is beyond stupid.

I think the problem is (overweight) beta males being intimidated be females who look more manly than them, even if the females still look feminine.

"The story is quite ambitious," centering on a fictitious religion and "what happens when you put your faith in different institutions," The story is set in an alternative universe where space travel has significantly advanced by 1986.

But he said it was a return to Naughty Dog's roots in the action-adventure genre that helped build the studio's reputation with franchises like Crash Bandicoot. It takes inspiration, he said, from classic anime like the 1988 movie "Akira" and the 1990s series "Cowboy Bebop

Sounds good to me :)

Shit looks nice. I hope the combat is a bit more realistic and not wishy washy whatever. And the whole 80s atmosphere felt a bit too much like guardians of the galaxy, but I do dig the 80s anyway. Other than that it looks nice. I hope you get to customise and walk around in your ship, loads of companions to talk to, maybe some settlements, or even cities for some questing and trading. Yeah, let's get the hype train going. The character looks interesting too, I'm hoping for customised hairstyles though.

I prefer women with long hair. This does not appeal to me at all and I am guessing it's the same for lots of gamers.
Yeah, bald women are probably the biggest turn-off for me personally, too.

This won't be no eye-candy for me, as Stellar Blade was. But ND games are top-notch. If they can do other things great, I can deduct a point for this one, and it can still be a 9/10 game.

lol they know not of any of that sir

Hey, people use physical media and CRT monitors in the future.
I mean, how do you know its our "future"? lol I don't know the context or their universe as this person might be doing some low fi thing for a reason or cause they like it or cause their world has some alternate time line or something, but we don't know enough to say its some straight linear path or something

Plus its....well fake lol

Are you sure you want to go down the road of listing things that don't make sense in a video game.

lol I don't know how much of this game will make the grounded sense people think just yet to comment on most of what we see with the TVs and stuff.

Maybe they explain it like history stopped at some certain time frame, maybe they don't and it exist just be cause in this wacky world where anything goes or something.

Its hard to say at this point.
What part?

Red spaceship, space bounties, CRT tubes lol I felt the Cowboy Bebop vibes when I first saw the trailer and was not really shocked that they were influenced by it, it looks like lots of things in the 80s/90s influenced this work.

Its 2026-27. We know Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei is next year.
Likely, that makes much more sense

I couldn’t give two shits what the protagonist looks like.

Yea she’s butt ugly but the last thing I’m thinking about when playing a ND game is how attractive the main character looks, fuck that.

I’m in for the gameplay and worlds they create which are usually very good. I can always mod the character to look better when this comes to PC later.

What exactly? A female protagonist? A woman with a bold head in a space game? Whoever is thinking this will flop because it’s „woke“ is out of his mind. This will be another classic by ND.

We don't know if Jordan is a female or not yet.And I never said anything about 'woke'.
Go on. You can read my comments.

Nothing smells like the 80s than bald female blasian, no?
For comparision one of most iconic 80s movies intro sequence:

It was diverse af but nothing was forced, that is why it will be remembered and praised 100 years from now on too :)

First impression is a very important thing when you sell something.

This trailer gave me a feeling of something already seen before, even if it is a new IP.

Protagonist being ugleh didn't help either.

There were no Blade Runner vibes here. Come on.
Its up to you tbh

I got it from when they show the bounty with the UI, I also got that vibe when it shows the tv lady in that city backdrop.

So I can't say "there were no" as everyone is different and will take to a trailer difference based on what they feel is being referenced.

I felt the sci-fi setting and katakana being shown was a nod to Blade Runner too, some might feel this, others may not
