I honestly don’t have clear feelings about what I saw in this trailer. There’s trust in the high-quality gameplay and amazing visuals you expect from Naughty Dog, but at the same time, there’s doubt about the quality of it, with a female protagonist's aesthetic and personality that quickly became a tired cliché and doesn’t excite.

Every Naughty Dog reveal trailer since Uncharted 1 gave me that feeling of something new and impressive, but this one didn’t give me any of that. Anyway, I need more to judge, but I can say it was a very cold first presentation in terms of hype.

This trailer gave me a feeling of something already seen before, even if it is a new IP.

Protagonist being ugleh didn't help either.

This is a very good summary. On point.
The character also does not intrigue me or does not seem cool.

If that last couple seconds is anything to go by it's going to be amazing. I don't even like Soulslikes but I would trust ND to get rid of a lot of the Fromsoft jank that makes me not care for their games.

So you find Tati Gabrielle unattractive? because that's all it boils down to. She's rocked a shaved head before and in the context of the game it probably makes sense (she is literally shaving her head in the trailer, if you look on the wall with the shot of her with others she has hair, so its likely a conscious decision to do that due to her situation/line of work). The other characters in the game look like their voice actors also.

Main character aside, even the first enemy shown looks bland - robot enemy with red glowing eyes, how novel….

Good luck to Sony turning this into a new cross-media IP, by the time they turn this into a series or movie it will look even more out of place than today.

I do agree with this, the enemy design just felt uninspired.

This seems like a very different game (and as usual from some Naughty Dog games, seems to be for more mature audiences, I'd bet its a violent game like TLoU, its already got swearing in the trailer, wouldnt put it past them to have nudity also, possibly even sex scenes again, they dont shy away from them)

The world has shifted under their feet. In 2021 you would get banned on Twitter for making fun of ND and their character design choices. ND started working on this game in 2020 they claim, explains it all.

I've said it before, I think Outlaws was totally designed as a Han Solo game and they switched it because of the dynamics I am saying, which, again, Ubisoft talked proudly about. But that shit isn't cool anymore (if it ever was).

Looks pretty fun. Don’t like that all the powerful people are women and the bad guy with the bounty is a white guy that’s most likely straight. Everything felt rather natural though so I’ll keep an eye on it. But devs need to remember, they’re advertising to men as we hold the demographic of gamers. I’d rather there not be a heavy lean into the woke religion and wish they could balance things out. But when deal with “artists” and their imaginary worlds where everyone is gay “chemical imbalance” is the phrase of the day.

Scifi/cyberpunk game where you can fly a spaceship and most likely has great combat. I'm sure it would get a lot of attention even without ND making it.

Graphically i suspect more for some reason, but i should be used to disappointment this gen. The higher raise and framerate just kills games graphically.

Main point of contention for me is not the character designs but fucking using the actual likeness of actors im familiar with, that just takes me out the game. Use their voices, if not easily noticeable, but not their damn face ..uggg. The product placement (especially in trailors) and actor likeness always screems desperation to me.

Tati Gabrielle and Kumail Nanjiani just dont make it feel like a naughty dog game.
